We clash and I let a small smile form behind my mask,"Interesting. You say you're a god and yet your weapon doesn't carry the same sort of power familiar to any divine being. I do commend your weapon for not shattering though."
He pushes me away with a burst of strength and I crouch against one of the pillars while applying magic to my feet. I jump off and land behind him before quickly pivoting on my heel and give him a narrow cut across his back. Before I know it a massive force slams against my chest to throw me through the only wall in the place,"How dare you destroy my robes! You insignificant ant!"
I flip myself onto my feet and make the decision to take my mask off. The tattoos still curl around my body and Barragan stares,"What are you? You aren't wearing a mask."
I grin dementedly and take a step before blurring in a Blink and stop in front of him,"I'm," and I slam my left fist into his chest with every bit of my monstrous strength,"the very definition of a monster."
Barragan is sent spinning from the palace and through the sands of Hueco Mundo. I feel a pain in my hand and notice the skin and muscle decaying rapidly to reveal the bones underneath so I just shift my entire left arm to Soul Touch. I chuckle as I leisurely walk towards where my opponent is with Excalibur dragging through the sand before placing it over my shoulders. I don't wait long until a pillar of black energy erupts from the sand and seems to erodes it to something beyond dust while Barragan stands at its center,"You! You insolent ant! How dare you defy your fate!"
I look at him with sharp eyes and bare my teeth,"Do not speak of fate as if you control such a thing!"
I lift Excalibur off my shoulders while closing my eyes and breathing out before my eyelids open to show two pools of red,"That's the problems with you sort of people. You think that you can determine the fate of anyone weaker than you, but that's just the illusion of control." and dodge a beam of red energy,"Why am I even wasting my words with you?"
I sigh and bend my entire upper body back to avoid being bisected before my tail strikes out and strikes Barragan in the face. He screams and stumbles back while clutching his face and I take the chance to end things. When he moves his hands away I'm right next to him facing the other direction,"You'll serve as a good test for one of my single sword techniques." and I walk past him as Excalibur appears as single line of silver,"Invincible Sword: 100 Fold Strike."
The sand dunes behind us are shorn in half with the sand exploding into the air while Barragan crumbles to the ground as I store Excalibur away,"The Invincible Sword Style. The only style capable of utilizing the full destructive force of my Excalibur."
I look back to him as the very air Excalibur cut through is filled by new air to create a wind that blows my hair away from my face to reveal my two red orbs,"That one strike had the full offensive power of 100 swords cutting you at the same exact moment in time." and I turn away from him and walk back towards Las Noches,"Farewell for now, God of Hueco Mundo. Grow strong an maybe one day we'll cross steel once more. But until then, grow even stronger so we can properly enjoy ourselves when that day comes."
A skeletal hand latches onto my ankle and I look down to see the fallen king looking up at me,"If we meet again I must know your name."
I let a small smile cross my face,"I'm merely a trespasser of this world. In this one you may remember me as Espada."
He nods and his wounds finally catch up with him as he passes out. I take one last look at him before turning away and resume my walk while conversing with Thráfsma,"There's hope for him. He can hopefully acknowledge he isn't the strongest and become a better king."
I can feel he agrees through our link and I look up at the solitary moon,"Hey Thráfsma. You think we could maybe do something to get some stars in the sky?"
He doesn't respond and I hear a light snoring from his side and chuckle to myself. I let him sleep and recover the energy he spent while he was in control of my body while I Blink in front of Hallibel,"Barragan has been taken care of. Now I suggest we leave so these people can go get their king."
She silently nods and grabs the lion hollow from the pillar she was chained to while I snap the bones of my left hand together to place the remaining hollows in The Darkness so they can recover and rest. We walk out as hollows dash past us towards their wounded leader and the snake hollow looks at my left arm,"You didn't come out of that unscathed."
I look at my arm,"Oh this?" and let the flesh grow back,"It started to decay so I just used a gift I received for doing a favor to spare me some pain."
I look over at Hallibel and notice she says under the lion's weight and snap my fingers. Nothing happens for a second before my shadow expands to include all of us in it,"Hope you can handle high speeds."
We drop and the familiar feeling of almost sonic speeds greets me for a few seconds before we pop out in the cave where we started in. The women are on the on braced on their knees before the deer hollow shakily gets to her feet,"W-What was that?"
I shrug,"I haven't really named it yet. Sorry for the nausea but you all seemed tired and that girl your leader is carrying needs to be healed. If I hadn't done what I did she would've died before we made it back here."
I curse as I quickly activate Dark Vision,"Damn! And she still might die!"
In moments I have her off Harribel's shoulders and lying on the ground while I run through any healing spells I might have. I immediately disregard Heaven's Blessing and skip straight to my small library of kido spells,"Figure of death, banished by the spirit of the living clothed in white. An empty coffin who's purpose is thwarted and death is swallowed up by the faceless being who surveys all creation. Avatar of light that descends to those long deprived of joy, and raises the dead to their feet with only a word. Fumetsu no komando!"
Her whole body is covered in the healing kido and my flesh chars as the potency of my available reiatsu is expelled through my skin. Her wounds heal on her physical body as my spell goes even deeper to replenish her faint life force with my own raw spiritual power. Eventually the glow becomes too bright and I turn away before I'm blinded and a supernova throws me back and into the cavern wall. I open my eyes and pull myself out of the stone and ask,"Everyone okay? Nothing broken?"
I get groans and hobble over to the group where the lion hollow is surrounded by a small dome of interlocking lights while the others lift themselves off the floor. Hallibel winces when she places a hand on her head,"What was that?"
I shrug,"It wasn't supposed to explode like that if that's what you're asking. Other than that, it's a high level healing kido used to replenish life force by using raw reiatsu. She should be just fine in a minute or two."
I turn to the two hollows whose names I've yet to learn,"While we wait can you please tell me your names? I'd like to know now that we have the time."
Within the next minute I find out the deer hollow is called Apacci and the snake hollow is called Sung-sun. The next few seconds are spent in silence as the web of lights dims and disintegrates to release the hollow whose name I now know to be Mila Rose. She shakily gets to her feet and cracks her eyes open to look around,"Hallibel-sama!"
Said woman is next to Mila in a second and puts a hand on her head,"It's good to have you back Mila."
The lion hollow looks around and notices me so I give her a casual wave,"Yo."
She instantly tenses and growls until Hallibel stops her,"That's enough Mila. He helped rescue you from Barragan and brought you back from your injuries."
She looks at me,"You...helped? Why would you help strangers?"
I shrug,"Technically I didn't help the whole time, a soul fused with mine did. I just picked up where he left off since my girlfriend would kill me if she ever found out I didn't help a woman. Besides, it was fun to cross blades with this Barragan person."
I get up and look at Hallibel,"It was nice while it lasted, but I've gotta be getting home. By now my friends might be worried about me for staying out more than a day on a job."
Hallibel nods and I smile,"See ya!" and jump into my shadow.
I can just head home but instead decide to do an inventory check of the hollows I've got placed here. The Darkness opens into my own little storage area where Excalibur and Dyrwyn float in the air along with my guns and the collapsible blade. On a solid platform the hollows I stole from Barragan sleep except for one. The bat adjucas stares at me with emerald green eyes,"You can understand me right?"
He nods and I look at his mask,"That must be irritating for you. Would you like me to make it so you can talk?"
He nods again so I channel the power of Thantos through my Soul Touch while placing a hand on his head. A second after I start his mask cracks and the part covering his face falls away to show a young man with pale skin and black hair. I take my hand away while letting my arm return to normal,"What is your name?"
The adjucas looks at me with empty eyes,"I have no name for no one's ever asked me."
I sigh,"Then give yourself a name so I can properly address you."
He takes a minute to think and bows,"My name is Ulquiorra, Espada-sama."
I sink down to his height and smile,"You don't need to use honorifics with me. Tell me something Ulquiorra. How did you get caught by the hollows serving Barragan?"
He stands and he's nearly able to look me straight in the eye,"I let them. My existence has no purpose and I have no one who would've cared if I'd been killed. Since you stole me away with the others my purpose is now to follow you."
I frown,"Then I have no use for you. I don't want followers I want members to add to my circle of friends. If you wish to work for me that is different but I will not have people who cannot think for themselves."
I stretch an arm out,"So then you are my friend?"
He nods and clasps my open hand with his own,"Yes."
I smile,"Good. Now let's wake the rest of these souls up and I can take you all to a safe place to recover."
Soon enough the other five are awake and I ask them,"What are your names?"
Before anybody can speak on do the females, a bug adjucas, interrupts,"Hold up!" and points at me,"Why should we trust you with our names when you could very well be planning to eat us later?!"
Ulquiorra starts from next to me and I put my arm put to stop him and before facing the woman,"That's a fair question. Besides the fact I have no need to eat hollows since I'm have yet to die, I don't kill for sport. I'm asking you your names so I can properly address you instead of merely calling you "hollow". If it would put your mind at ease I'll start. I'm known by a few names but my real name is Perseus. Now can I please get your names?"
The female hollow seems a little more at ease and huffs,"Mia."
I nod and it continues down to the next adjucas, a male salamander hollow,"Ignitus."
Continuing down the line I find out the names for the last four hollows are Nelliel, a centaur, a male mantis adjucas called Wonderweiss, and finally twin sabertooth adjucas called Hikari and Kage. I extend my left arm in Soul Touch,"You'd create quite the scare if you were to be seen like that. Fortunately I've got an idea."
They glow before their masks shatter with only a fragment left on their faces like I did with Ulquiorra,"There."
They paw at their faces and multiple swords are lying on the ground in front of them until Nelliel picks up the one in front of her and unsheathed it to look at her reflection in the polished metal. She nearly drops her sword in shock when she sees her true face and looks at me,"You made us human again."
I shake my head sadly,"No. I merely strengthened the shinigami part of you to make you look human. Those swords in front of you holds the energy I had to separate from your soul."
I wait for them to pick their swords up and smile,"Now then, I think it's time I showed you all where you all will be staying if you decide to stick around."
We emerge in Alaska and I chuckle as the others look around in awe,"Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Alaska."
