A Bitter Request

"Faster daddy!"
The little girl squeals in delight when Perseus guns his motorcycle and it roars down the road. The two race down the roads of Alaska and through the wilderness. They approach a stretch of water and Perseus channels a small portion of his magic into the seals covering the handles of the machine to make the tires glow blue. As soon as the front tire touches the water it freezes to create a road underneath the vehicle and its passengers,"Daddy? We aren't telling momma about this are we?"
"Yep. No telling Zoë about this."
"We're getting ice cream before we go home too right?"
".....You take after me too much." and I smile,"At least you got most of my good qualities. I guess we can stop for some ice cream."
"Yay!"
The little girl squeals as the two tear over the surface of the water and across patches of ice before they rejoin the road and enter the town now called Haven. Most of the citizens look up as the two make their way down the road until coming to a small ice cream stand named Maury's. The window is empty for a few moments until,"What can I get you two?"
A man with extremely pale skin and icy blue hair with eyes to match rests his arms on the other side of the counter,"Hey Maury. Can I get two vanilla cones?"
The monster nods,"Sure thing boss."
The man turns to get the order ready and his hair shifts to show his pointed ears and the celtic earrings dangling from them. The ice elf quickly whips up the two cones and gives both to Percy with the man placing a few drachmas on the counter,"Thanks."
Percy devours his ice cream and cone in a few bites while Anna takes her time, eating her treat with a smile on her face. Her green eyes look up at him,"Daddy? Would be okay if I went to Lucy's today? She said we could practice with our invisible hands!"
Percy nods his head,"Sure. I want Alex or Ignitus should go with you so he can make sure you don't hurt yourselves."
Anna nods her head and finishes off her cone,"Okay daddy. Can we go now?"
Percy smiles and rubs her head affectionately, making sure his hands gently touch her horns to get a purr from his daughter. The two get back on the motorcycle with Anna sitting in front of Percy and pull out of the stand to drive back to their home, with a small detour at Lucy and her mother's house to drop Anna off. Sakura, Lucy's mother smiles as she watches the two girls dash into her backyard,"Thanks Percy. Lucy's needed a friend for a long time. Should I expect Alex to drop by to keep an eye on them?"
Said monster nods his head,"Alex or Ignitus. Ulquiorra is with Nel in Hueco Mundo to train and attain his release. Hikari and Kage are both sticking around Karakura to make sure no rogue hollows try and make a buffet of the town. Mara and Wonderweiss are sparring a few miles away from us to increase their strength and speed respectively. June is meditating with Monique to contact her zanpakuto and Hetalia is practicing the spells I gave her."
My eyes slide over to the bundle of blankets laying on a cot,"How's the boy doing?"
Sakura sighs,"He still hasn't woken up, but I can't figure out why. Physically, he's fine except for a few scars. It had to be a mental problem or that spirit you told me about is keeping him from awakening."
I run my temples,"I'll check when I get back from a job. I'll see you when I get back. Apparently Aunt Hestia needs my help for something."
Sakura nods and closes the door as I walk away and swing back onto the seat of my bike. I gun it towards my house and pull into the garage before hitting the button on the wall to close it and head inside. I hear someone walking out from the kitchen and embrace my aunt,"Hey Aunt Hestia."
She returns the hug and I'm filled with the warmth of the hearth until she pulls away and the feeling fades away,"Hello Percy," and looks me up and down,"you've grown a bit since I saw you."
I shrug and offer her a chair,"That was Thrafsma's fault. Due to me rejecting my godly blood he replaced it with his and matured my body to its peak. So," and I sit across from her,"what can I do for you?"
She fidgets,"Percy you must understand, I'm merely the messenger."
I'm a little confused now,"Wait, what do you mean? If you don't have a job for me, then who," and it clicks,"no way in hell."
Her eyes widen slightly,"Please Percy. The ancient laws prohibit us from directly acting with our offspring. They need your help."
My eyes narrow as Thrafsma and Empathy rage inside my skull,"No."
She places a hand on my arm,"Please Percy, just this once? They're willing to pay whatever you request, within reason."
My eyes turn yellow from The Darkness's influence ,"N. O. No! They need my help so bad?! I want them to swallow their pride and beg for it!"
"It's about Leo Valdez."
With those words my anger subsides and I return to a calm state,"Explain."
Hesitate sighs,"Several days ago there were reports from wind spirits about a giant bronze dragon flying around the border of America and Canada. We need you to lead a group of demigods to the place and search for Leo. If he's still alive it would make Hephaestus immensely happy."
I sigh and make a decision,"Fine. However," and I hold a hand up,"I'm bringing along companions of mine."
Hesitate nods,"That's fine. When you've gathered all three just teleport yourselves to Olympus to discuss payment and meet the people you'll be working with."
I nod my head in acceptance,"Fine. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go grab my companions."
Hestia vanishes in a burst of flame that doesn't burn and I walk into my backyard,"Hey June!"
She starts from her position and looks up at me while Monique cracks an eye open,"Yeah Percy?"
She notices my eyes are a light yellow,"What's wrong?"
I run my temples to get rid of the anger still smoldering in me,"Get Alex and Hetalia. We've got a special job."
June nods and darts into the woods where I set up clearings for the members of my group to train and spar in. Monique uncrosses her legs and looks at me with knowing eyes,"You got a job from the Olympians."
I simply nod my head while tapping on my phone and send Ignitus a text telling him to head over to Sakura's home to monitor Anna and Lucy. He quickly replies with a simple yes and I shove my phone back in my pocket while Monique continues to stare at me,"You want to talk about it?"
I grit my teeth,"I'm not mad about the job itself. In fact, I'm hoping I find who I'm looking for. What really gets me is the sheer gall of those...those pigs! They could've had Artemis track the dragon, or even Hermes because of his speed. In fact, I'm pretty sure they asked Artemis but she refused just for this reason."
I groan and bang my head against the wall of my house,"I don't want to deal with this now."
Monique snickers and I flip her off before taking my head off the wall so I can look at Alex, June, and Hetalia,"We've got a job. Olympus wants our help to find an old friend of mine."
Alex growls while June and Hetalia scowl while I sigh,"I don't like this anymore than you do. The only reason I'm doing this is to find my friend and hopefully get some relics imbued with Lord Outsider's power for my new apprentice. For that reason I've come up with a special rule for this job: no attacking the team we'll be working with."
My eyes travel to focus directly on June,"Have you managed to naturally activate your shikai?"
She nods and Tsuinmaunten ken manifests itself over her arms and hands,"Good. I've got a feeling we'll need the extra oomph."
I sigh and place my hand on the ground while sending out a pulse of energy. Mrs.O'Leary jumps out of my shadow and licks me until Hetalia catches her attention by scratching under her china link collar. Blackjack also appears from the sky and canters over to June while he nuzzles me,"Hey boss. Been a while since you've called us."
I lower my head,"Sorry. I guess with my wings and the ability to travel through shadows I forgot about you two. I'll make that up when we get back, but now I need you two to act as mediums for Hetalia and June since their human bodies can't handle the stress of The Darkness."
My pegasus and dog nod and lower themselves so the two girls can get onto them while my shadow stretches out from me to surround the three,"I'll meet you there. I've got pick up one more person before we head out."
They vanish and Monique has a wicked grin on her face,"You're getting Zoë."
I smirk and simply reply,"Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn," and vanish into my shadow.
I pop out of the shadow of Ladon and scratch one of his many heads,"Hello old timer. You know where Zoë is?"
He nods,"She's solidifying her connection to the ocean. Check the sea cavern."
I walk to the edge of the garden and descend down a set of steps hewn into the side of the cliff. The sea spray dampens my hair and wings as I get closer to the water's level. I reach the end of the steps in the form of a cave carved out by thousands of years of rushing water and see Zoë sitting with her legs dangling over the edge,"Hello beautiful."
She turns her head as I sit down and back at the sea,"What happened?"
I chuckle,"Straight to the point eh? Fine. Olympus has asked for my help to retrieve an old friend of mine, Leo Valdez. I told you about him didn't I?"
She nods,"He's the one who supposedly sacrificed his life to destroy Gaea's body and stop her rising right?"
I nod and take her hand in mine,"Yeah. However for this job I would like it if you could join me. You up for some hunting?"
She grins and kisses me on the cheek,"I think I can handle a little hunting. Are we going now?"
My grin morphs into something you'd see on a wolf, if that was possible,"Nah. We've got a few minutes to spare. Besides," and I kiss her neck to make her moan,"we haven't had a good make out session in a while."
My hands travel down her sides and she hisses before turning to give me a searing kiss. I return it with equal passion and wrap my arms around her torso. When we break apart for air I have a small smirk,"For a former Huntress, you really like kissing don't you?"
She splutters and I take the moment to land nuzzle her neck and inhale her scent. She flushes in embarrassment and I feel my fangs growing longer while Thrafsma's tattoos curl around my body before my body moves on its own. My mouth opens and my canines sharpen to a point before my head moves from her hair and gently bites down on where her neck meets her left shoulder. My teeth slide in like needles and Zoë shudders as my power flows from my body and into hers with my teeth acting as the means of deliverance. She moans again when I open my mouth and gently pull my teeth out while the design of Empathy's form curls around the puncture marks with his tail in his mouth. When my mind clears I'm panting and Zoë is flushed with a glazed look in her eyes,"What," and I gulp,"what just happened?"
"Dude, you just claimed her."
I nearly jump when Thrafsma speaks,"What?!"
He sighs and mutters something about dumb hosts,"You claimed her as. A. Mate. Now the only thing to do to make it official is for you to do the dirty."
He giggles perversely and I hear Empathy bonk him on the head while Zoë's eyes refocus,"Perseus," and my head turns slowly to meet her hard gaze,"what did you do?"
I throw my hands up to shield my face,"It was Thrafsma's fault!"
"Hey! Don't drag me into your body's urges!"
I sigh,"Fine. I might've, accidentally, totally not meaning to, claimed you as my mate?"
She doesn't react and I wave my hand in front of her,"Zoë? I think I broke her."
Inside my head Thrafsma is howling with laughter while I hear Empathy chuckling and The Darkness humming in amusement. I snap my fingers under her nose and she swats my hand away,"You claimed me as your mate?"
I shrug,"Apparently I only did half of the process. Thrafsma told me that for it to be official we gotta," and I gesture all around me,"y'know."
"We have to have sex,"Zoë deadpans.
I slap my face,"You have to be so blunt?"
She crosses her arms over her chest,"I know what sex is Percy. My mother told me and my sisters about it when she was still alive."
I decide to try and distract myself,"Can we talk about this after the job? This is the last thing I need to take my attention away from the goal."
She huffs,"Fine. But, we will be talking about this when this job is over."
I nod and let us fall through my shadow to reappear on Olympus.
