I have a boyfriend...

*AVA'S P.O.V.*

I slowly reached for my phone and answered it, only to have questions coming in like a summer storm.

'I really screwed up...' I thought to myself and Charlotte.

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU AVA?!" Jace yelled really, really, really loud. I'm pretty sure the whole diner heard him.

"H-hi Jace. What's-s up?" I said stuttering and trying to act casual.

"What's up? You're not here at home! NO ONE CAN FIND YOU! That's what' up!"I cringed.

"I went on a walk,more like a run and kinda ended up in a small town at a diner..." I trailed off. Jace was silence for a few mintues and continued.  

"But the border patrol-" I cut him off saying-

"I distracted them and ran like Hell." I chuckled at the end and Jace laughed.It was silent for a few seconds,so I think Jace was calming himself down.

"What town are you in?" Oopps! Forgot to look at the sign. Damn it. 

""Let me ask." I put the phone on the table and looked around to see if their was anyone who could tell me. I saw a group of boys at the table next me. I scooted over and tapped one of their shoulders. The guy turned around,along with all of his friends. He smirked at me.

"Hi,I was wondering if you guys could tell me,what town is this?" I asked shyly. Some of the boys chuckled while the others waited for the guy to respond.  

"Well lovely,you're in the great town of Hillest. May I ask what you're doing here?" Does he think I'm flirting? Shit,I know Jace can hear this with his werewolf hearing...

"Eating." I said bluntly. "Okay,thanks bye!" I 'smiled' and went back to my booth,ignoring their whistling and comments about my body.  I picked up my phone and already heard Jace.

"I'm going to kill them." I rolled my eyes.

"Okay,not important,I'm in a town called Hillest..." 

"Oh that's where Alpha Peter and Luna Raven live. I will see you in thirty minutes! But I'm taking the back roads so I'll probably see you in fifteen. Stay where you are."

"Okay,bye! Love you." Okay he seemed calm. I'm scared.

"I love you too. Bye." And the call was cut. I finished my soup and sandwich. The waitress came back and handed me the bill. I decided to give her a tip and left after paying. I was waiting on the bench outside when that guy came out. He walked out the door and spotted me.

"Well boys,look who we have here." He walked towards me and sat down on the bench next to me. I scooted away and he scooted closer. Now,I was on the very edge of the bench."What? No,hello?" 

"I don't even know you." I spat. 

"Would you like to know me?" He whispered into my ear and put his hand on my thigh.Goosebumps covered my body.

"I have a boyfriend,thank you very little!" 

"Come on,he won't know." He kissed my ear. Does he think I'm easy?! Hell no. I glanced at the road to see a familiar black truck... (A/N ;) Lol!)

"I think he will." I turned and faced this guy. "You're an asshole FYI." I saw his eyes get darker, but I stood up fast and walked up to the curb,seeing Jace pull up. Right as he parked he got out and walked up to the guy. 

"Who are you? Her boyfriend?" The guy teased. I would hate to be him right now. Jace didn't even respond and punched the guy right in the nose. I climbed into the truck and Jace stormed his way over to the truck and hopped in. Once he started the truck,we were off to the house. Half-way home Jace cleared his throat and put his hand on my hand. I looked over to him.

"You know,we are going to have to talk about this right?"

"Sadly."

When I walked into the living room and sat down,Jace sat right next to me and looked me in the eyes. 

"Why?" What the fudge? I gave him a 'duh!' look and grunted. "Okay,dumb question. And I'm really sorry."

"You know,it hurt. A lot." I scoffed,looked towards the doorway, and bitterly chuckled,but I continued. "I felt alone,empty and kinda invisible.Wait no,not invisible but visible and painfully ignored. That's why I ran. I needed freedom and I needed to get away. I don't know why,I mean that's what I'm usually used to." I felt tears come,but I didn't care. I felt him put his finger under my chin and carefully made me look at him. Tears came down his cheeks as well and hurt was clear in his eyes. It pained me. I took my other hand and wiped the tears off his face and scooted myself into his lap. 

'I'm still mad!' Charlotte growled. 

'Well,I'm human, Jace is human and I forgive him. Jaxson is a wolf and so are you! You two figure it out!" And I cut the connection. 

"Forgiven." I whispered. We just cuddled in each other's arms for the next twenty minutes till I broke the silence.

"When can I see Zach?"  Jace took a deep breath and got up,while picking me up at the same time. 

"Now." And we made our way up to Zach's room. He sat me down on my feet once we reached him room doorway and I quietly walked in. When I opened the door I saw the only light was from his bedside lamp. Walking over to Zach,I saw he was pale and still sweaty. 

'Can it just be Zach and I for a while?' I mind-linked Jace. He nodded and shut the door. 

I put the back of my hand on his forehead and he jumped. 

"Zach?" I whispered.

"Hi momma." He croaked out. 

"Hi,how ya' feeling?" 

"I don't know." We sat there for five mintues in the peace and he suddenly talked. "Momma,I meet her." 

"Her?" I spoke my thoughts aloud. 

"Yea,the moon goddess. She told me to tell you that it will be okay in the end and not to worry about me." He said breathlessly. 

"When was this?" I waited for a response but none came. "Zach?"...."Zach?!" I mind-linked Jace and told him to get the doctor.
