*AVA'S P.O.V.*

The next morning,Jace made waffles with blueberries and whipped cream. He had to carry me down to the kitchen.

"What are we doing today?" I said as I ate the last blueberry on my plate. Zach just shrugged his shoulders and stuffed his face again. I think Zach and I are better, but it's kinda awkward. I looked towards Jace to see him a little pale.

"Jace," His head snapped up towards mine. "you okay?" He seemed nervous but,nodded.I raised my eyebrow and shrugged it off. We were surrounded with quietness. 

"I have an all day meeting in town." Jace suddenly pointed out.I meet his eyes. "But,maybe, after you and I could do something..." He trailed off. I don't have anything better to do.

"Sure,I would love that."

I watched Jace drive away until I couldn't see him. I turned around to find Zach standing behind me with a solemn look.He looked up to me.

"Sorry." He whispered. I sat down on the couch facing him and took his little hands in mine.

"Can you just tell me why you ran?" He shook his head hastily and went pale. 

"Ask daddy." 

"Okay...What do you want to do today?" I looked out the window to see the orange leafs fall and rain clouds move in.

*JACE'S P.O.V*

As I pull into town, I see people about. Great,it's busy. I pull in and park my truck in the driveway of my cousin,Derek. I open the door,get out,and put the keys into my pocket. As I knock on the door,I hear a dog bark and a child laugh. No one answers the door,so I walk around back and see Rudolf,Derek's kid, playing with Summer,their golden retriever.  I opened the gate to have Rudolf look at me and smile. He ran up to me and hugged my leg like is life depended on it.

"Hey Ruddy,what are you doing."

"Playing." He said as he pointed towards Summer,who made her way over to me.

"Where's mommy and daddy?" 

"Inside. Daddy said to stay here." He said as he looked at a bird,what landed a couple feet away. He jumped and ran after it forgetting my existence. I just chuckled and walked up the back door steps. I opened to find Derek and Morgan,his mate, making out on the couch. 

"Geez man, keep it PG." I said while laughing. Morgan jumped and Derek growled.

"What the Hell dude, you should knock." Derek said,clearly annoyed.  

"I did! I guess you can't hear me when you are neck deep in Morgan's mouth!" Derek just rolled his eyes and Morgan blushed. Just then, Rudolf came running in and was crying. He ran straight to Morgan.

"Momma,it bit me!" He basically screamed. 

"Who bit you? Summer?" Rudolf nodded and Morgan took him to the bathroom to tend to the wound.

"So,what's up?" Derek said as he stood.

"Do you have the ring?" He grinned.

"Why?" He said,acting innocent.

"You know." I said bored. 

"Hmm,guess I forgot." He walked past me and I slapped him on the back of his head.

"What the fuck dude?!" He said rubbing his head.

"Hmmm,guess I didn't see your head. Sorry,there was a fly." I said as innocent as he said his lie. He just rolled his eyes.
