RUI'S POV

I am actually seeing ridiculous gaze from people around me. Why the hell not, if Im currently wearing a pink strawberry shorcake apron that probably belongs to my stubborn wife.

Why am I even preparing the breakfast for today? Curse this conscience that I never knew I still have.

" Good mor-" I heard the little girl's tiny voice that cut short when she saw me holding a plate of pancakes that their mother usually prepares for them. Instead of finishing her sentence, she sit down to her usual chair with confusion on her cute little face. She by the way isn't talkative today, and I knew very well why.

How can I put back her energy not being so obvious that I actually missed her being bubly and all?

I cleared my throat to say something when the rest of the gang entered the dining room. I really wanted to laugh with their outrageous reactions but I dared not. The little boy settled himself in his usual place while my witch of a wife raise her eyebrow at me and tried to say something but she hesitated and just sit next to Reileen who is still very quite.

" What is this Rui?" my grandfather broke the silence.

" Obviously, these are breakfast Lolo." I answered sarcastically, removed my apron and settled myself beside Railey.

" I know what these are young man, but fine, lets not argue for this is a bright new day, isnt it mga apo?" he asked with a smile.

I thanked heavens for Lolo did not ask any further, for I also dont know how to justify my actions today. Damn.

After saying our graces which is lead by the little girl, nobody seems to start eating. My heart thumps so fast and damn all the skies I dont know why.

" Eat people. Walang lason yan." I tried to joke but nobody laugh. I cleared my throat and put a pancake on Railey's plate then on Reileen's. The two remained quite but Reileen stared at Louie and she smiled back warmly. My eyebrow creased when my heart thumps faster than earlier. Damn.

" Eat now kids, may pasok ka pa Rai baka ma late ka. "

I cleared my throat once again to get their attention. " By the way, ako ang maghahatid kay Theon Railey sa school ngayon. " I gaze at Louie's reaction but I cut what she wanted to say " Arthur will bring you to your school instead. Ako nang bahala kay Railey. "

" Pero-"

" Eat your food fast buddy, baka ma late tayo. " the little boy didn't hesitate nor agreed. He remained quite while eating.

" Why does it taste like yours Mommy? Alam din ni Daddy recipe mo?" now my little girl is talking.

Louie hesitated to answer her question at first but she knows her daughter very well so she decided to a safe answer. " Parehong ingredients lang ang ginamit baby, kaya pareho lang ang lasa. "

" Pero bakit po sila Naynay hindi nila magaya yung pancakes mo, eh pareho lang din naman ang ingredients.? " Louie cleared her throat to answer another difficult question from her very persistent but cute little girl but I decided to butt in.

" She taught me how, before Reileen. Now finish your food because your piano teacher will be here soon. "

Reminscing those days na magkasundo pa kami ni Louie, she taught me her secret recipes and I too is surprised that I still remember a bit. Definitely her pancakes are special, that I can never forget.

The ride to Railey's school had been very quite until I heard him whispering something. I glanced quickly at him on the drivers seat and saw him playing with his little fingers while pouting.
