He wasn't sure if it was the hundreds of teenagers he didn't like, or if it was the fact that he got bored of things easily, but he knew for sure he wasn't necessarily in the mood for today's pep rally.
Now, this pep rally was more of a 'battle of the classes' type thing, or where the Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior classes all wear a different color and have a handful of representatives competing in different sports events in the gym while everyone else sat in sections on the bleachers, watching and wasting away their valuable time. Yeah, it was a fun thing to attend, but Jack wasn't really feeling it today.
He looked around at the other sophmores, all with school colors painted on their faces, trying to hype eachother up for the events that would take place later in the day.
"Sean, if you and Mark were able to actually get pregnant and carry a baby yourselves, which one of you would carry it?"
Jack faced Ronnie, chuckling at the random question he'd just asked. "Mm... well, that's actually something that we've talked about before. Mark really wants a baby; even now, so probably him." He answered, taping another 'Class of 2018' poster to a random locker.
A moment passed before the other boy spoke, "Really? But he always seems to care so much about the way his body looks. Like, he'd just give up his six pack and muscles to have a baby?"
"Mhm... He says he wouldn't care since having babies is a beautiful thing." Jack glanced at the grey tiles on the floor, shifting his gaze to the frog slippers he was wearing. "I'm already fat, anyways, and I wouldn't wanna get any fatter by carrying a baby."
"You're not fat."
"I'm bigger than you, and we're the same height. I hate being so short, it only makes me look like a cow or something."
"It's okay."
A half-smile spread across the Irish boy's face, stepping down from the chair he stood in. The two boys took a few steps back, admiring the portion of the Sophomore hallway they'd been assigned to decorate along with a few other students.
"How did we get so fuckin' good at decoratin' shit?"
"We should be interior decorators on HGTV!" Ronnie giggled, biting the pink skin on his bottom lip.
There were sideways and poorly placed signs, crumpled up blue, white and yellow streamers, several large wads of wasted tape stuck to the lockers, and glitter randomly sprinkled everywhere.
