Meeting Jack was no doubt the best thing that'd ever happened to Mark, and he truly thought that for the rest of his life, no matter what exciting things were to await him in the future, there would be nothing better to come along. Since the first day they met, Jack had done so much for him that he truly felt that he could never repay him even if he tried. He was only one person - One very small person, but he'd had such a big impact on Mark's life.
Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.
Mark sighed, running his fingers through the tangles of overgrown, dark curly hair atop Jack's head as he slept.
Jack stirred for a moment before his eyes slightly opened. Picking up his phone off the nightstand, he checked the time. 2:23 A.M.
"Sorry, did I wake you up?" Mark asked, pulling his hand away.
"No, no. I like it when you play with my hair. But what are you doing awake at two in the mornin'?"
"Couldn't sleep. I just feel a little anxious about school and final exams in a few weeks." Mark shrugged, "Nothing serious."
Jack rolled over to face Mark. It was dark and he couldn't see his face well, and he gently ran both his hands along the older boy's chest.
"Marky, please don't worry. I know you'll do well on all your exams. You have straight A's anyway, so if you fail all of them it won't really change your grades. And on the bright side, next month we're going to Disney World together, so try to think about that instead. But for now, sleep so you wont be tired in the morning. Relax."
"I know, but I can't help it. I hate taking tests, though."
"Listen, you're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think, darlin'. I'll be proud of you no matter what." Jack whispered, kissing his lips.
"I love you so much, baby doll. I wish you knew..." Mark trailed off, almost whispering the last part.
"I love you, too. I always will. Forever!"
"Mm... I want sex, but it's really late."
"It's never too late for good sex, honey."
