Clifton walked in the front door at around 9:00 that night. He sighed, slipping off his jacket, hanging it up as he tossed his keys on the table by the front door.
"Yay, you're home!" Jack screeched, jumping out from under the fort and running over to the blonde haired man, instantly hugging him and squeezing him a little.
Clifton Chuckled, hugging him back and gently running his fingers through the soft fluffy curls atop Jack's head.
"Yeah, It's been an interesting day." He replied, glancing around the living room of his perfectly tidy house. He frowned slightly, "Uh, where's Mark?"
Whipping his head around, Jack pointed to the little fort he'd made, "In his nest."
"Nest?"
He nodded, giving Clifton the sweetest of smiles. He made his way back into the fort and laid back down, hugging and gently kissing a sleeping, cocooned in a blanket Mark once more.
"Aww. 'Kay, well, I'm going to bed now, so..." Clifton, shrugged, pushing back the hanging blankets on top of the fort so he could reach Mark and kiss his forehead.
He leaned back against the fluffy pillows and sighed in relief, just having settled comfortably into his bed. Getting into bed at the end of the day was always such a relief to him, as it would be for just about anyone who worked excessive hours during the day, and even at night half of the time. But in all honestly, he truly did love his job.
And so he laid there in peace and quiet, closing his eyes as he was overcome with the feeling of sleepiness, until it was interrupted by a soft knock on the door.
His eyes opened, and he remained quiet hoping that the person on the other side would go away, but the door slowly opened to reveal none other than Jack. As usual, cause who else (besides Mark) would interrupt his sleep so often?
Running his hands through his long, wavy blonde hair in frustration, he flicked the lamp on and glanced at the boy standing in front of him.
"Can I put this new makeup on you?" Jack asked, grinning as he unzipped his small makeup bag and pulled out a compact highlighter and fan brush, holding it up for him to see.
"No. Why can't you try it on you? I'm trying to go to sleep now. Goodnight, Jack."
"Tomorrow then? It'll make you look even more like a princess and you'll look sparkly, like me!"
Clifton chuckled, shaking his head slightly as he flicked his lamp off.
"Nope. You can be the only princess here. Goodnight, Jack."
A/N: I love that Jack is into wearing a little bit of makeup now! I need you guys' thoughts on the story so far! Since nobody gave me any ideas or suggestions yesterday. RIP!
