PLEASE BE ADVISED THIS CHAPTER IS A BIT SHORT, I'M SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.

"Hey, el," Ella sighed. I watched her put her textbooks away until she finally shifted her gaze to me.

"What's wrong, Ella?"

"What? Nothing," she said, now looking down at the floor.

I rolled my eyes, "I know when something's up with my best friend, Ella."

She took a deep breath, "Its g-gale. He's with Joanne."

"Oh, Ella," I said, bringing her into a hug.

Gale was Ella's crush since she was four. Crazy, right? I could've sworn just last week it seemed as if they would be together. What a jerk.

"Come here," I said, pulling her gently out of my arms.

I wiped the tears from her eyes, "You are beautiful. If Gale doesn't see that you're better than all those ordinary girls, he's not worth a second of your time."

Ella giggled, "oh, what would I do without you, el?" She went back into my arms and I hugged her tightly. "You don't have to worry about doing anything without me by your side, I will always be here."

"Thank you, Elena. I love you."

"Anytime, love. Now walk to class with your head high, show that jerk what he's missing."

She began to walk, and turned around to smile right before she entered the classroom. I smiled and waved.

I turned around, took my books and began to walk to English class when I bumped into someone who caused me to fall to the ground, dropping my books. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking!" I said nervously, reaching for my books.

I was lifted off the ground by someone who also handed me my books. I dusted off my dirty pants and looked up to see who I had bumped into.

It was Rick. I couldn't believe it, my jaw dropped. He smirked, which probably made me blush a thousand times more. "Wow, I-I'm so sorry," I looked down to hide my obvious red cheeks.

"It's really no problem, just make sure you don't do that in front of Mr. Dawson, he's not a fan of people who drop his precious textbooks," he chuckled. I laughed back, still tomato red.

I watched him take out a piece of paper and a pencil, beginning to write on it. As curious as I was, it wasn't my place to ask him dude, what are you doing?

"I will definitely keep that in mind."

I gave him a big smile and started to walk off.

He grabbed my arm, yanking me back. I held tightly onto my textbooks, making sure not to drop them.

He took my free hand, separated my fingers, causing my hand to open up. He set a piece of paper in it and put my hand in his. He shut my hand close and began to walk off, slowly letting go. He looked back as he went down the hall. I smiled. He smiled back, turning the corner and disappearing.

I opened up the crumbled piece of paper and scanned it. "Call me," it said. I was a bit confused at first - how would I call him if I didn't know his number?

I then turned the paper around and viewed the backside to see nothing other than A PHONE NUMBER.

I almost had a heart attack right then and there. I took out my phone and began to walk into the hall, entering my English class and completely neglecting the fact that it might be, I don't know, filled with kids and my rude teacher?

Yeah, Einstein wants to be me.

Me being the socially awkward sixteen year old I am, entered the class, still on my phone.

"Ahem!"

"Right," I said, putting it away and finding my seat. Mr. Dawson might be in the best mood ever.

The kids in my class burst out laughing, sending texts back and forth. My cheeks turned bright red. I pulled my red hoodie forward, hoping to hide my face.

"Enough!" Mr. Dawnson finally yelled out. "Now, turn your page to 156," he added. I turned my book a few pages to find the page I was looking for.
I shuffled my hand around in my desk, looking for my post-it's.

The rest of the stupid school day went by in a blur. When the last bell rang and school was dismissed, I found Ella talking to the cheerleaders.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" I smiled, interrupting her conversation. Ella didn't really need to answer, as soon as I said that, the cheerleaders walked away.

"What was so important that you had to drag me away from my rare conversation with them?" She whispered.

"I'm sorry, but you are going to want to see this," I said, putting the note from Rick in her hand.

"Oh my god," she read it.

"Is this from Rick?" She shouted out.

"I'm sorry, I don't think the whole school heard you loud enough," I smiled sarcastically.
