"I saw the neighbor's kids yesterday after soccer practice. They were doing a doorbell ditch, and of course it made me think of you. I've really noticed how almost everything reminds me of you these days. I don't think I've ever realized how much you are in every aspect of my life. No wonder it feels like a part of me is missing since you've been in this stupid coma.

"Anyway, do you remember when you rang Mrs. Smith's doorbell when we were little and took off running, letting me stand there all dumbstruck? I will never forget how scared I was when she opened the door just two seconds later. I thought she was going to beat me with her cane. When I finally got away, I found you a few houses down the street hiding behind a bush. You were lying on the floor, holding your belly. You were laughing so hard, that you had tears running down your face.

"I was so mad at you, but of course I had to laugh when I saw you like that. Only for you Allie, only for you crazy girl."
