"My coach took me aside yesterday before practice started. He was pretty pissed about everything that's been going on over the last few weeks. I guess last week's escapade was the final straw for him. He knows how stressed out I am about you, and he understands how hard this must be for me. However, he also has to think about the team. If I can't get my shit together soon, he will pick someone else as captain for the rest of the year.

"The worst thing is that I can't even be mad at him, because I get it. I'm useless to the other guys right now, I've been barely making it off the field in one piece lately. Everything's just been going downhill since your accident. Not only have I lost you but it just feels like there's been chaos everywhere around me ever since that moment. It's like there's no balance in my life anymore because you're missing. You're the glue that keeps everything together, and you're obviously not here."
