Liam

"I can't focus on anything right now, Allie. I know I've been waiting for you to wake up from the time of the accident, but since you started moving your hand a few days ago everything has changed. The doctors are pretty sure you'll wake up, so now the question is just when. And you know how much I suck at waiting. I'm driving myself and everyone around me crazy. I think some of the teachers today were close to sending me home, because I've just been such a bundle of nerves.

"Do you remember the morning of my soccer tryouts years ago? I was so nervous that I puked before we even got to school. You told me to stay positive and to be patient, that I'd surely make the team. You said that patience is not the ability to wait, but how you act while you're waiting. You're always so wise, and always know the right thing to say. How ironic that I could use some of that wisdom about right now.

"We both know that I still suck at being patient though, so please hurry up and wake up already!"
