"Come, sit down," Robert offered us to enjoy his soft sofas on which we both had laid eyes on, earlier in our minds. He adjusted himself in the center of the sofa making space for both of us and ignoring the vacant sofa near him.
Yikes.
Despite our wills, we both sat elegantly, one on each side, forcing smiles on our faces. He put his cigar on the ashtray and then laid his arms around our shoulders and sat there like a king.
Oh great.
Katie and I controlled our hands which were about to run through his neck in order to strangle him.
"So, what are your names?" He asked, glancing at both of us.
"Ca..I mean, Cattelein," I managed to act.
"But didn't your friend say your name was Nora?" He raised his eyebrow.
Doomed.
"When? Oh thaattt," Katie laughed hesitantly, after which she made up another lie, "Yes yes, that's a name I love to call her."
Katie to the rescue.
"Oh c'mon, Robert sweetheart. Forget these things. Let's have a drink, hm?" I asked flashing my eyes.
"Shall we?" He replied. "Hey, you! Get us more drinks," He called one of his guards standing behind the curtains.
In a minute or so, his puppies brought few bottles of the finest wines in the country. But too bad, Katie and I weren't alcoholics like this shitty guy.
One of his puppy opened one of the bottle, filled three glasses for us, and went. I sneezed on purpose to signal Katie to do her job. She gained Robert's attention by touching his Rolex watch. She tried to flatter him by complimenting on his watch and got him into sweet talk.
She was a pro, I must admit.
In the meanwhile, I picked up a glass and took out a white powder containing chloroform, from my handbag. I bent a little to the side, away from Robert and added it to the drink.
"Hey, stop it now you too. Let's have a drink to get this party going." I offered the drink to Robert which I had amended.
He took it from my hands while saying, "What's the rush?"
He was then about to put the glass on the table when I gestured Katie to do something. She quickly put her hand around his hand which was holding the glass, and brought it near his mouth. Luckily, he drank. In one go, it was finished.
Katie and I plastered our faces with a smile of victory and picked up our glasses. "Cheers." With a light tinkling sound, we gestured to have a sip, but instead, put the glasses back on the table as we saw Robert starting to loose consciousness.
"Let's go to his house now," I said while rubbing my hands together for cleaning the unseen dust.
Katie got hold of one of his arms and I got hold of the other. As we tried to pull the half unconscious man up, one of his guard came inside followed by another.
"What is this?" He shouted while coming towards us.
"They got a little drunk, you see," I lied while glancing at Robert and Katie. Katie also acted like she had drunk a lottt of wine. Such was just an actress. She was limping here and there while still grabbing one of Robert's arms so that he doesn't fall.
The two men exchanged glances and it looked as if they were asking each other about their next step.
"Please..take us home. Oh Robert..let's go home, huh?" Katie said in her fake drunken tone.
"You two can't come along. We don't have orders," One of the guy spoke in his husky voice. The other guy started coming towards Robert to hold him.
"I'm afraid of what Robert will do with both of you when he finds out in the morning that you let his two sweetest companies slip through his hands," I said, making the two men doubt their decisions and then moved away from Robert.
"Sir, do you want them to come along to your house?" One of the guys asked Robert while holding him. Robert had almost fainted. The words that were coming out of his mouth with extreme force were only aa, ye, uh.
"Oh sweety, don't worry...I will...go with you," Katie muttered while looking at Robert.
"Let's take these three home," The guy said disgustingly, forced to make his decision.
Oo yeaahh.
Time to enter Robert's mansion.
