Chapter 2: Complicated Love- Can't Throw This Away
*Haley's POV*
'What?! Why did he want to see me after class?!' I thought. I was so caught off guard I couldn't talk. I just nodded and went back to my notes. The whole time I couldn't think about anything besides Mr. Malik's reasoning to keep me after class. What's he thinking?
*Zayn's POV*
She's absolutely stunning. The way her eyes shine and her hair flows and how shy she is. I need to talk about our feelings. I admit it, I like her. I like a student! This won't turn out well. However, we DO need to at least see where we're at. How? As I thought deeply, an idea came. "Haley?" I called, getting her attention. "Y-yes?" she stammered. How adorable. "See me after class" I told her, and turned back to the board after she nodded in shock. I felt bad for scaring her but it's the only way we'll be able to have a proper talk about this. *After class*. After all the students left, I called her up to my desk. "What did I do Mr. Malik?" she asked nervously, shaking a bit. "Nothing love and call me Zayn" I winked. Whoa stop flirting! This is serious! She blushed. Aww. "Thanks Zayn. So why am I here. Not to be rude though" she asked, playing her hair nervously. "Not at all love. We just need to have a little chat" I answered. "Oh. Phew! What about?" she asked, calming down. Not for long. "About how we feel about each other" I replied, letting the bomb blow. "Oh" she said, fumbling with her zipper. "Here have a seat" I told her, scooting over so she could sit. She sat down and looked at me. "How do you fe-feel about me?" she stuttered. "Honestly, I kinda like you" I answered truthfully. I hope she feels the same so I'm not just embarrassing myself. "I kinda d-do too" she admitted. "So what do we do about it?" I asked, not trying to be rude but I need to see where this is going. "We can't do anything. It's illegal. We gotta forget about it" she responded honestly. I know she was saying the truth but it still hurt. She's right. Wait no. This feels too right to throw away. "Maybe I don't want to just throw this away"
