Chapter 10: Complicated Love- Fighting with Sickness
*Zayn's POV*
Crap, crap, crap! Haley just saw a text from my ex-girlfriend Jennifer. She always says stuff like that just because she wants to get back together. Well, doesn't she have great timing? (note the sarcasm). Haley and I just made up and now Jennifer ruined it. Plus Haley's got the flu. She is in no shape to yell at me. I feel awful even though this is all Jennifer's fault. "It's my ex Jennifer. She keeps bugging me to get back together" I answered. "Why is she sending you texts like that?!" she yelled hoarsely. "She wants me to get with her but I don't want to. I only want you" I assured her. "Then why didn't you do something about it?" she shot back coughing. "I tried!" I cried. "If you did, she wouldn't be texting you" she whispered. "I promise I've tried. She's too clingy!" I promised. "I can't believe this Zayn. I thought you loved me" she sobbed, tears silently falling down her rosy cheeks. "I do love you Haley. I wish I could get rid of her" I answered. "You can! At least block her! Or are you too stuck on her to do that?" she exclaimed. "I'm not stuck on her! I didn't think of that" I replied sheepishly. "Yeah right!" she sniffled. By this time, I had taken her in my office. No one needed to see or hear this. "It's true. Look what do you want me to do?" I asked. "Get me a bucket" she moaned, turning green. I ran to get her a bucket and gave it to her. I held back her hair as she threw up. "You okay?" I asked when she was done. "Yes and no" she groaned, clutching her stomach. "Why?" I asked, handing her a mint. "Take this. If you need to throw up again, use the bucket" I instructed her. "Thanks" she mumbled. She put it in her mouth as I sprayed Lysol. "Well, yes because I feel a little better. And no, because of you" she explained. "I'm sorry. Darling, I promise you I have no feelings for her. I should've blocked her" I apologized, taking her hands. "You should've. You really lost my trust" she stated. "Baby, you can trust me. I don't like her at all. I love you" I promised. "Are you sure?" she asked. "Yes! I will delete her number and block her right now. Watch" I told her, pulling out my phone. I went to her contact, deleted it and blocked her. "See? Haley, I have no feelings for her. You are my one and only. I love you" I assured her. "Promise?" she asked. "Of course" I promised. "Okay I trust you. And I love you" she answered, smiling weakly. "Thank you. This means everything to me" I replied, pecking her cheek. "You're welcome. You're so sweet. I don't want to get you sick" she stated, pulling away. "I'll be fine. I got my shot haha. The doctor gave you one when you weren't looking" I told her, showing her the bandage on her shoulder. "Wow good. Well I should go lay down. See you soon" she said, getting up slowly. "Bye. Feel better love" I answered. "Thanks" she replied, walking down the hall. Phew, we made up. Now there's one thing to do.
