*Zayn's POV*
I gasp as she loads the gun. NIall backs away in the corner, eyes blown wide. Just as she pulls the trigger, I dive in front of him. The bullet pierces my stomach, erupting an unbelievable amount of pain. I groan and fall to the floor.
*Niall's POV*
"Zayn!" I cry, rushing to his side. I ball my fists at my side in anger and kick the gun out of her hand, grabbing it in mid-air. "Go ahead, little innocent prick; shoot me" she smirks as I shakily point the gun to her head. Without hesitation, I shoot her, watching her collapse to the carpet. After dropping the gun in shock, I drag Zayn's limp body to Haley's hiding place. "Don't even try me" her partner snaps.

"You shot them?" Haley gapes as I untie her hands. "Yes. I never thought I would but I had to protect you guys" I nod, finally freeing her completely. "Thanks. How's Zayn?" she asks worriedly. "No problem. The ambulance is on their way. He was shot fairly badly but we're praying for him" I explain as her eyes water. "Hey, don't worry. Zayn would never let you go" I smile, hugging her tightly.
*at the hospital*
"How is he doing?" I ask the doctor. "We're not sure yet sir, he is still undergoing surgery to remove the bullet. But we will be sure to keep you informed" he replies softly. Haley whimpers, crying into Liam's shoulder as he holds her, crying too. We all are. The docter frowns but walks off, trying to look professional.
*2 hours later*
"Who would like to visit him first? Only two at a time" he asks us. "Well obviously, Haley. It's her fiance. And Niall, our savior" Louis winks at me. I blush as Haley and I follow the doctor to Zayn's room. We see a variety of wires hooked up to him and a huge bandage covering his stomach. "Hey guys" he smiles weakly. "Zayn! How are you feeling?" she asks, hugging him gently. "I'm okay baby. How are you?" he coos, kissing her forehead. "Better now" she giggles. "Thank you Niall, for everything. You're an amazing friend" he grins, giving me a soft hug. "Anything" I answer happily, watching them reunite.
