Chapter 15: Complicated Love- Confessions

*Haley's POV*

"Hey Dany what's up?" I smiled. Dany and I were like sisters. We tell each other everything. "I have a secret for you and Zayn. Can you put him on the phone?" she answered nervously. "Sure. Are you okay?" I asked with worry clear in my voice. "Yeah it's just not exactly the best news in the world" she replied. I nodded and dialed Zayn's number. After one ring, he picked up. "Hey babe what's up?" he answered cheerfully. "Dany has news. You're on speaker with us" I greeted. "What is it Danyelle?" he asked. "Promise not to get mad at him?" she questioned, picking at her nails. Fear is clearly shown in her. What's so bad about this? "Yeah. What's going on?" he promised. "There's no easy way to say this but Liam has a crush on Haley" she revealed slowly. It was silent for a few moments as the shock came over everyone. Zayn just then broke up the quiet atmosphere. "He likes her?" he asked, as if I wasn't right here on the phone. "Yeah he has a big crush on her" she confirmed. "Is he gonna do something about it?" he asked. "I don't know. Harry just told me. We had a date. All I know is Liam has a really big crush on Haley" she informed. "Haley, do you like him back?" he asked me, ignoring the fact that Dany and Harry had a date! "No why would you think that?!" I growled. That really offended me. "I was just checking! I'm sorry if I offended you darling" he apologized, using my soft spot: calling me darling. "It's okay. I wanna go talk to him. Where is he?" I asked. "His office. What will you say?" he asked. "I won't say nothing bad jesus! I just need to talk to him" I shot back. I just forgave you; don't push it. "Ok ok sorry. Bye girls" he hung up. "Not being offensive what ARE you gonna say?" Dany asked. "Just that I don't feel the same way but we can be REALLY close friends. I'll be nice" I assured her, grabbing my cell and purse. I walked out and set off to Liam's office. "Can I come in?" I asked knocking. "Sure" he replied plainly. He must not recognize my voice. "Hi Liam" I smiled. He looked surprised to see me then grinned nervously. "H-Hi Haley. What brings you here?" he stammered. Aww, he has it bad for me. That will make this so much harder.

"I need to talk to you" I answered kindly to not worry him. "What about?" he asked, offering me a seat next to him. I gladly took it and looked him in the eye. "Harry told my friend Dany who told me that you really really like me" I laid down easily. I never talk this freely. Something about Liam just tells me that I can tell him anything. This'll make it way easier for us to be super close. "Oh well its true. I have a monster crush on you" he chuckled fearfully. He must know what's coming next. "That's so sweet but I'm kinda dating Zayn. I'm so so so so sorry" I whispered. It pained me to hurt such a sweet guy. "Oh" he whispered back. "But we can be REALLY close like brother and sister I promise. And if I get over Zayn someday, then we can go out" I promised him. "You swear?" he asked, looking happier. "Yeah! You can like me however long you want as long as you don't anger Zayn. And I'll tell you anything you wanna know about me" I answered excitedly. "Thanks Haley. This is one of the reasons I like you. You're so sweet" he grinned. "You're welcome. Thanks. Now what do you wanna know?" I asked blushing. He is the sweetest thing. He asked me all sorts of things like my family, friends, personal life, childhood. He even knows my first boyfriend! "Do you or have you ever cut?" he asked. "Yes I started at 14 and I haven't stopped. Only Dany and now you know" I confessed ashamed. He looked really shocked. Then, he put his hand on my shoulder and looked in my eyes. "You should tell him" Liam advised. "Tell me what?" Zayn asked, coming in and sitting next to me, placing a sweet kiss on my lips. "I um-"
