Chapter 50: Complicated Love- Discovery to Recovery
*Haley's POV*
I locked myself in our shared bedroom and let the tears fall. How could he be so cruel about something like this? He didn't even give me a chance to explain! All of the sudden, there was a loud knocking at the door. "Baby please let me in" he begged. "No Zayn, not after what you did" I answered slightly angry. He didn't deserve to talk to me, at least not right now. "Please princess. I'm really sorry" he pleaded, still persisting. "I said no" I replied, taking a stand. Tears clouded my vision as I fished for my phone, ready to call Danyelle. She always knew exactly how to help me and be there for me, and I haven't seen her in a while. "Haley please I-" "I told you I said no!" I screamed, finally having enough. Didn't he understand that I wasn't ready to talk to him about this yet? "Okay. I'm sorry for pressing you" he sighed in defeat. I heard his heavy footsteps leading downstairs, opening an opportunity to call Danyelle. Instantly, I felt bad for yelling at him but I forced it away. God, what is love doing to me?! I should feel satisfied for yelling at him, happy I had the confidence. Instead, I'm regretting it. Love is a bitch sometimes. Pushing my vicious thoughts aside, I dialed her number and waited for her to pick up. After the third ring, her voice sounded through the room. "Hey Danyelle" I answered shakily, sobbing predominating my voice. "Hey Hales! Wait, are you crying?" she asked in great concern. "Yes. Can I please come over? I really need to talk to you" I inquired, in desperate need of my best friend. "Of course you can!" she replied. "Thank you so much bae. I'll be there soon" I smiled a bit. "Anything. See you later" she told me, hanging up. Walking to the bathroom, I picked up my appearance a bit, though I'd probably end up crying again anyways, and bravely walked down to the living room. "Hi" Zayn squeaked quietly. Dismissing him with a nod, I pushed past him and slipped on my shoes. "Where are you going?" he asked. "To Dany's" I answered simply, grabbing my purse. "What about the baby?" he questioned. "You can take of him can't you?" I replied sassily, slamming the front door shut.
