Chapter 22: Complicated Love- Double Dates

*Haley's POV*

"Ughh Dany you don't get it!" I snapped for the third time. We were talking about how I'm going to tell Zayn I want a relationship. And I mean a real, serious relationship. Unfortunately, Danyelle didn't understand. She kept saying that we already are in a relationship but she didn't get that I meant I wanted to get more serious. The only problem is I don't know how to tell him. What if he doesn't want that? Maybe he's angry at me because I wanted to take a break. "Then tell me slowly" she replied. I sighed and began. "I know we're already together but I want to get more serious" I explained. "Ohhh now I get it" she laughed. "Finally" I laughed back. "Hey! Well then tell him!" she squealed. "What if he is mad or doesn't wanna?" I asked. "He will say yes! Stop being negative!" she shoved me playfully. "Okay okay I will but I don't know when so don't get your hopes up" I agreed. "Yay!" she cried. I giggled and we sat on the couch to watch TV. I wonder how Zayn's doing.

*Harry's POV*

Zayn is a mess. I'm over at his flat cleaning up cause he can't bring himself out of the bedroom. The only time he comes out is to smoke or get a drink. Other than that, he's in his room crying. He misses Haley so much. Even if they didn't break up, he hates that he can't see her or talk to her or kiss her. He's been a complete wreck without her. He hasn't had sleep, keeps drinking and smoking, took 2 weeks off of his job and hasn't shaved or cleaned himself since then. Right now, he's up in his room crying and drinking. I feel bad for the poor lad. He loves her so much and he's so afraid that she's going to end up breaking up with him. I was cleaning up the glass from the bottles he broke last night when I heard glass breaking upstairs. "Mate what happened?" I asked when I got to his room. "Haley still hasn't called me" he sniffled. At least he was sober at the moment. "Aww I'm sorry" I hugged him and he sobbed in my shoulder. It was things like this that broke your heart. He was so crushed that she hadn't called yet. I felt incredibly awful for him. But, I have a plan in mind to reunite them. "Why Harry? Why won't she?" he sobbed. "I'm not sure mate. I know that she'll come around" I assured him. "Really?" he asked, looking at me. "Yeah! Just give her a little more time" I smiled. "Thanks. Sorry I'm being such a girl. I just love her and miss her" he chuckled weakly. "You're fine. Some guys take this harder than others. It's normal how you're reacting" I answered. "Thanks and I'm also sorry that you've had to deal with all this" he apologized. "It's okay. Anything to help a friend. Now I just gotta clean up the glass and I'm done" I smiled. "Thanks" he whispered. I nodded and went downstairs to clean the rest of the glass. After I was done, I decided to face time Danyelle because I miss her. "Hey babe" I greeted. "Hey you. What's up?" she asked. "Just fixing up Zayn's flat and helping him with missing Haley" I replied. "Awww well Haley's practically ripping her hair out about it" she laughed. "At least she's not like Zayn. He's a complete train wreck" I told her. "Oh no. What's he like?" she asked with a concerned look. "He hasn't sleep, keeps drinking and smoking, took off work for 2 weeks and hasn't shaved or showered since she put them on a break" I answered sadly. "Oh my god that's awful!" she covered her mouth in surprise. "I know! And on top of that, he keeps throwing beer bottles" I responded. "Wow! We need to help them" she told me. "Well I do have a plan" I smirked. "Spill it!" she cried. "We all go out on a double date and then we have to 'go to the bathroom' so they reunite!" I exclaimed. "That's great! I'll get Haley to text her so it sounds like it was her idea" she grinned. "Thanks. Bye baby. See you soon" I blew a kiss in the camera. "Bye" she smiled.

Con. Ch. 22:

"Harry!" Zayn yelled. Running upstairs, I went into his room to find a happy, smiling Zayn. "What happened? This is the first time you've smiled in a week" I asked. "Haley called me! She wants us to meet up at Olive Garden in two hours. And she sounded happy!" he grinned. "I'm so happy for you mate. See I told you she wouldn't break up with you" I smiled. "Thanks Harry" he answered. "No problem. Now go take a shower and shave. You reek!" I laughed. "I bet I do. Be back soon" he patted me on the back on the way out. After deciding that my black skinny jeans and white v-neck were fine for the date, I waited on the couch while Zayn got ready. After one hour and a half, he came down with a clean face, blue jeans, a white shirt with a black leather jacket and fixed hair. "You look much better" I chuckled. "Thanks. Let's go meet the girls" he couldn't stop smiling. He was very excited to see her. He slipped on gray vans and we drove to the restaurant. We found the girls at a table and sat down with them. "Hey Harry" Dany kissed me. "Hey you" I smiled. To Zayn's disappointment, Haley pretty much kept to herself, picking at her food and playing with her hair. I decided to try and get something out of her. "Haley you okay?" I asked. She jumped a bit and looked up at me. "Y-Yeah just tired" she stuttered. Dany said that when she stutters, she's nervous. "You sure?" I pushed. She nodded and took a bite of her lasagna. Now it's time. I winked at Dany, giving her the signal. She nodded and turned to them. "Well I think I'm gonna hit the restroom" she giggled. "Yeah me too" I announced. They nodded and we walked to the bathroom. We could only hope for the best.

*Zayn's POV*

Haley sat there next to me and sighed. She'd open her mouth to say something but no words ever came out. "Haley what's wrong? Obviously, something is on your mind" I asked, turning to look at her. "I'm fine. I just need to tell you something" she sighed. "Go ahead. I'm listening" I replied. "First, I want to say that I don't wanna break up" she smiled small. "Thank God" I sighed in relief. "Second, and please don't hurt me, but I have been thinking and I want us to become more...serious" she replied slowly, squeezing her eyes shut in fear. "Hey" I turned her head with my hand softly. She opened her eyes and looked at me. "I want us to be more serious too. But we don't have to rush it. We can go at a pace that works for you" I smiled. "Thanks. I'm glad you agree" she smiled back. "Of course love" I cooed. "There's one more thing" she informed me. "What is it?" I asked. "I love you" she grinned. My heart leaped and raced. I was over the moon. "You do?" I asked. "Yes for real. I have been thinking a lot and I realized I am in love with you" she replied. "You don't know how happy I am. I love you so much" I kissed her full on the mouth, despite the fact we're in a public place. "I'm guessing you made up" Harry laughed. Haley pulled away and turned bright red. "Yes we did. Thanks guys" I smiled. "Of course" they answered. The rest of the night went great, until I went to visit Niall.
