Chapter 31: Complicated Love- Talk is Cheap

*Haley's POV*

Oh man, he just saw my cuts. "Yes but I promise that's all. Please don't tell anyone" I begged barely above a whisper, tears falling down my cheeks. "I have to. Haley, I know I've been such a dick and haven't shown it but I care about you way too much to see you do this to yourself. You're kind, smart, big-hearted and so so beautiful. You can't keep doing this" he answered kindly. "Thank you Liam. I'll try. I just don't want anyone disappointed in me" I sobbed. He took me in his arms, letting me cry in his chest. "They won't be. They'll want to help. I want to help" he replied. "I hope. Speaking of, Liam we need to have a serious talk about our friendship" I sniffled. "I know. I was hoping we could skip that" he chuckled nervously. "Look Liam, I know you love me but you need to stop and for real this time. No looks, no moves and sure as hell no kisses. Please don't ruin this again unless you want to lose our friendship" I explained. "I won't. I promise this time. I can't risk losing any kind of relationship with you. And I'm incredibly sorry for all the damage I've done" he apologized. "It's okay" I answered. "Are we good?" he asked hopefully. "Yea" I giggled softly. "Thank you so much" he hugged me. "You're welcome...Wait Liam!" I yelped as he was about to pull away. "Yes?" he asked. "Just hold me a bit longer. I just really need a friend right now" I whimpered. "Of course" he smiled. After a little more hugging, we pulled away and smiled at each other. "I know we'll both hate this but you need to tell Zayn what happened" I told him. "What?! He'll hate me" he cried. "But you're the one who did it. Besides maybe he'll understand" I protested. "No he won't! He'll flip out on me again" he argued. "Look you made this mess and you need to clean it up. Please. I'll calm him down after" I promised. "Alright fine. Wish me luck" he nodded nervously. "Luck" I replied.

I walked to Zayn's room, fear overtaking my body. He'd hate me for sure. I already kissed her once, now I gotta tell him I kissed her again. "Hey can I come in?" I asked knocking. "Yeah" he called. Opening the door, I came in and sat down at his desk. "Why do you look so nervous?" he asked. "I gotta tell you something" I informed him, my eyes glued to the ground. There's no way I could look him in the eye and say it. "Go ahead man" he laughed at my fear. "Well there's no easy way to say it except-" I started, pausing for a deep breath. "I kissed Haley again"
