Chapter 18: Complicated Love- Apologies

*Zayn's POV*

"Man you shouldn't've done that. Liam did nothing wrong" Harry told me. "He tried to grab her butt Harry. That's wrong" I growled. I felt so incredibly bad that I yelled at Haley but I was angry. I still am but that's no excuse. I need to apologize after I talk to Harry. "Danyelle texted me. Haley explained everything. She said that she tipped over and that it was an accident" he argued. "Really?" I asked. I knew the answer already though. Haley would never lie. "Yes. Haley tipped over so his hands slipped down and touched her butt by accident. She wouldn't lie Zayn" he replied. "Man, I feel so bad. I need to apologize to both of them" I sighed, head in hands as shame took over me. "Yeah you do. Start with Liam. He is seriously hurt and you had no reason to hurt him" Harry advised. "Yeah. I'll see you later" I ran out. I ran to Liam's room and knocked. "Come in" he called. He had a scared look on his face as he looked at me. "W-What did I do this time?" he stuttered. "Nothing. I came to apologize" I answered. "Oh" he breathed out. "I'm sorry Liam. Harry just explained what happened. I'm so sorry I beat you up. I had no excuse to. I regret it" I apologized. "It's okay. I know you love her and are protective of her. I'll be fine" he accepted. "Thanks. And I do know you like her....a lot" I smirked. "No problem and oh, you do?" he asked. "Yeah. Look, it's okay. I know you won't do anything about it. And since she knows, if she chooses you over me, I'll be okay with it. I trust you and you're my best friend so yeah" I explained. "Really? See this is why we're best friends. Thanks man" he smiled. "You're welcome. Now I gotta go apologize to Haley. See you later man" I answered. "Okay good luck" he patted me on the back. I smiled and walked to Haley's room. I knocked and Danyelle answered the door. "Zayn?" she asked surprised. "I came to apologize" I replied. "Oh well she's asleep" she told me. "Do you mind if I wake her up? I really wanna apologize" I begged. "Okay go ahead" she let me in. "Thanks" I smiled. Danyelle left to the kitchen and I kneeled next to Haley. "Haley love" I shook her. Her eyes fluttered open and as soon as she saw me, she screamed and backed away. It broke my heart to see her so scared of me. Danyelle ran in and walked up to Haley. "What's wrong?" she asked. "Zayn is gonna hurt me a-and yell at me" she stammered. Danyelle glared at me. "I swear I just woke her up" I promised, holding up my hands in surrender. "Alright. You two talk it out and no yelling" she glared again and walked away. "Haley I promise I will not hurt you or yell" I assured her. "Okay. What are you doing here?" she asked uneasy. "I came to apologize. I'm so sorry I yelled at you and scared you" I apologized. "It's okay. Is Liam okay?" she asked. I tried to not to get jealous and said yes. "Good. You really scared me Zayn" she sighed in relief. "I know. I'm really sorry" I replied. "It's okay. Just don't do it ever again" she warned. "I won't" I swore. I hugged her and she slowly wrapped her arms around me. I laid her in bed and covered her with blankets. "You can sleep now" I cooed, kissing her nose. She nodded and fell asleep. After 30 minutes, she moaned in her sleep. "Mmmmmm Liam!"
