Chapter 41: Complicated Love- Friends?
*Louis's POV*
"I came to see you. Are you okay?" I asked, praying she couldn't see the redness in my eyes. "I'm fine, just a sprained wrist so I'll need a cast for a while" she gave me a small smile. "That's good" I answered awkwardly. She smiled awkwardly at me as I sat down next to her. "Louis are you still mad at me?" she questioned, looking at me in the eyes. "Of course not" I shook my head. I couldn't believe she thought I was still mad at her. She did nothing wrong really; it was all my fault. "Then why didn't you talk to me all this time?" she asked, looking hurt. "Because I just couldn't face you knowing that I'd caused you to be so upset with me" I replied with complete honesty. "Really?" she blushed. "Yeah" I nodded. "I thought you hated me" she whispered, as I saw tears fill up her eyes. "Hey" I told her softly, lifting her chin up with my thumb. She looked at me intently. "I could never hate you hun. You mean way too much to me to do that" I smiled, causing a smile to break out on her face too. "Thanks Lou. So do you" she giggled. "You're welcome love" I answered. "So where do we stand? Friends again?" she asked. "No! Of course not" I laughed. Her face fell. "We are brother and sister again" I grinned. She slapped me playfully. "Brother" I held out my hand to swear on it. "Sister" she shook my hand in promise. "Niall told me you flipped out when you found out the news. Why?" she asked. "Because I-" the words got caught in my throat. She can't find this out. "What?" she wrinkled her forehead in confusion. "I can't tell you" I replied. "Please?" she begged. "Fine but keep this between us okay?" I looked at her. "Yes" she promised. Here goes nothing.
