Chapter 38: Complicated Love- Plot Twist

*Zayn's POV*

"...and apologize to her?" she asked. "Yeah of course. That's really sweet of you" I smiled. She smiled back and we buckled up to go home. After a long drive, we pulled into the driveway. We got out and I led her in the house. "Do you want to go upstairs or have her come down?" I asked Jennifer. "I'll go upstairs" she answering. Nodding, I took her upstairs. "Wait here. I'll see if she's awake" I informed. "Okay" she murmured.

I walked in and found her still asleep, arms wrapped around a pillow. As adorable as it was to see, I had to wake her up. "Haley baby wake up" I cooed. She rolled over and clung to her pillow tighter. "Darling wake up" I shook her softly. "Mmm" she swatted my hand away. I heard Jennifer go "Awwwww" in the background. "Babe you have a visitor" I told her. "Ugh who visits me this early?" she groaned. "Just please get up. They're waiting on you" I laughed. "Fine" she snapped, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. I laughed, remembering that now, I'd have to deal with mood swings for quite a while. "Come in" I called to Jennifer.

She came in slowly, preparing Haley for her presence. Once Haley saw her, she screamed in extreme fear. "Haley calm down" I tried to comfort her. "No no! Get her away from me!" she yelled, tears running down her cheeks as she backed away from Jennifer. "No she won't hurt you" I hushed her. "S-she going to cut me a-and beat me" she wailed, backing up some more. Wow, whatever Jennifer did to her must've really scared her. "I promise you she won't do anything to you" I swore. Haley stopped screaming, and slowly came towards Jennifer. "I'm sorry. Don't take it personally" I apologized to Jennifer. "It's okay. I'd be afraid of me too" she chuckled. Once Haley was fully in front of her, she began her apology. "Haley, I'm so so so sorry for threatening you and hurting you and scaring you very badly as I can see. I had no right to do that and I regret it a lot" she apologized. "You swear you won't hurt me?" Haley asked. "I swear" she promised. "I forgive you then" Haley broke out a small smile. The two girls hugged. All of the sudden, "Boss Ass Bitch" started playing on Haley's phone. "It's Louis!" Haley squealed. They'd gotten really close lately. We all started laughing. Of course she chose that ringtone for him. "Hello?" she spoke into the phone. "Oh you found out. Well don't say anything okay?"
