Chapter 21: Complicated Love- The Truth Unfolds
*Haley's POV*
I'll admit I liked the kiss. He was a good kisser. But, I love Zayn. I'm sorry for Liam but I felt no sparks when he kissed me. When he kissed me, I realized that I'm in love with Zayn. There was no denying it. Unfortunately, now I have to tell Liam I don't like him. I will be sweet though, well as sweet as I can be when you're telling someone you don't like them back. "Well I am really sorry to say this but-" "You don't like me back" he finished sadly. "I'm so sorry Liam. I just realized I'm in love with Zayn. I'm so sorry please don't hate me" I apologized, tears trickling down my cheeks. "Hey hey come here" he hushed, taking me in his arms. I sobbed in his shoulder and he rubbed my back. "I-I'm s-sorry. Don't h-hate me p-please" I hiccuped barely above a whisper. "Shh shh it's okay. I don't hate you honey. I love you. Look, it does hurt that you don't like me back but I'll be okay" he cooed. "Thanks. We can super close friends though. I will always love you as a friend" I sniffled, tears still leaking out of my eyes rapidly. "Of course. Thank you for being so nice about it" he smiled. "You're welcome" I smiled weakly. "You can go tell Zayn if you want to. I'll be okay" he told me. "Thanks. I'm sorry" I apologized again, wiping my eyes. "Its okay Haley seriously. I'll live" he laughed. I giggled lightly. "Thanks" I smiled and got up with him. I walked towards the door. I stopped and turned to him. "Wait Liam" I called him. "Yes?" he asked. "Here" I stated. I kissed his cheek and smiled. "You deserve at least a kiss goodbye" I grinned. "Thanks. I will always love you Haley" he smiled lovingly. "You too" I kissed his cheek and skipped off to Zayn's room. I can't wait to tell him.
