Literally still crying over my brother. He sent me a snapchat of his new room and I sent him a snapchat of my tears. Seemed like a fair trade... I made the dumb mistake of going into his room and cried ever harder because it's so empty😭😭😭

25. Austin.

"So, what exactly does that mean?" I ask the doctor. Rowan did come with me to this appointment and she's currently sitting behind me on the small examination bed, her arms wrapped around my torso and her head on my back. My hand is resting over hers, our finger laced together tightly as we await his response.

"So, of the three samples, only one had any potential of impregnating. But though 1/3 is low, that's still a good thing because it means you're not completely sterile" He flips over the pages on his clipboard "So, if you're looking to have more children then I suggest artificial insemination" He says.

"Uh, what?" Rowan mumbles into my back.

"It's the easiest way to get results. We harvest the good, get rid of the bad. That way when it's needed we can easily inseminate and then you'll get pregnant sooner. It'll take less tries, and less frustration" He explains "So, if you're interested then let me know and I'll send the sample we have off"

"Can we have a moment first?" Rowan asks and the doctor nods.

"Yes, take all the time you need" He smiles before walking out of the room. Once he leaves I move so I can face Rowan while still sitting on the bed.

"What are you thinking?" I ask.

"The whole thing is odd. But I'll do whatever you want to do" She kisses my knuckles.

"I don't know" I shrug "It'll give me a sense of security but at the same time, I don't want to have kids with anyone else" I admit "I don't want to agree to this if there's a possibility that we might not end up together"

"Harry and I aren't going to make it" She sighs "We weren't even actually married in the first place. Ever since you came back I've realized how much I was suffering. I mean for gods sake, he didn't even let my own daughter speak Spanish"

"You weren't actually married?" I ask.

"Nope, turns out our ministers license was expired" She shrugs.

"You never told me this"

"I found out like three weeks ago. I wanted to wait until Harry was home to actually talk to him about it before I told you"

"Well, what are you going to do?" I ask.

"I don't know yet"

"I think, you should kick him out and invite me in" I wink.

"Only if it were that easy" She huffs.

"But it is that easy, tell him you two are breaking up"

"I need to think about it. Make sure it's actually what I want"

"But isn't it? You love me, and I love you"

"Yo se" She mumbles "Eres mi amor" She places her hand under my chin "No, mi vida. Pero es muy complicado" She shrugs "Muchos papeles, mi hija, mi madre. Hay muchas cosas en que pensar" (I know. You're my love. No, my life. But it's very complicated. A lot of papers, my daughter, my mom. There's a lot to think about)

"I don't know what you said. But I disagree"

"I'm right. Everything I said was valid" She says.

"But, I still feel like it's a lot easier than you're making it out to be"

"Maybe it is, I don't know" She shrugs.

"All I know it's that I made a mistake three years ago, and I want to finally be where I'm supposed to be" I admit, and she gives me a small smile.

"So, what are you guys going to do?" Trish asks.

"I don't know" I shrug "I just want to finish what I started years ago. I'm the one she's supposed to be married to"

"Knock her up" She suggests.

"Only if" I roll my eyes. After talking to the doctors, Rowan and I decided we'd wait a little longer before we 'harvest a sample'.

"I'm sorry she's so difficult" She giggles "But honestly, you can't blame her for being skeptical"

"I know, Im not blaming her. But I just wish she'd make it easier for me. I don't like that she clearly wants to be with me, but I'm still fighting for her"

"Then just prove to her that you're the one for her" She says and an idea pops into my head.

"Thanks Trish" I give her a hug before sprinting out of my office. I get into my car, making a few stops before driving to Rowan's bakery. I walk inside, carrying the things I'd picked up with me and walking up to the front desk.

"Can you give me one sec- what?" Rowan looks up from the cash register and I give her a bright smile.

"I thought back to all the times you've brought me stuff at work and I realized I've never done it for you. But since you already have pastries and coffee here. I brought you flowers and chocolate"

"This is so sweet" She gushes, letting me in behind the counter "Thank you" She hugs me tightly and I kiss her forehead.

"It's nothing" I shake my head.

"No it's something" She kisses my jaw "This is so sweet"

"I'm glad you like it" I chuckle.

"I love it, really I do" She smiles.

"Ms. Rowan-" A girl walks out of the kitchen but stops talking once she sees me.

"Katherine, what's wrong?" Rowan asks, turning around.

"I've uh, I've burned a batch of cookies" She mumbles, clearly embarrassed.

"Ugh okay, you stay on floor duty" She points to the table area and Katherine nods.

"Yes Ma'am" She nods.

"Want to help me?" Rowan turns back to me.

"With?"

"Can you work register while I go make a new batch of cookies?"

"Sure" I shrug and she grins, leaning up to kiss my cheek. She grabs the flowers and chocolates and carries them back to the kitchen with her, and I smile when I see her through the window with a bright smile on her face as she reads my card.

Prove you're the one for her...
