I ditched my paper to write this instead... oops
For those who read Where Are They Now? Would you like Brogan's part to ave a more Austin and Brogan relationship part or just where Brogan is, or both?
26. Rowan
"Austin's been very... extra lately" Rosa points out, mopping up the floor.
"He has" I nod. So far every day this week he's brought me something. Whether it's flowers, and chocolate or something to eat, he's done it and it was out of no where "It's cute though"
"He's trying to get the space on your finger" She motions to my hand "Where's your ring anyways?"
"I took it to get it cleaned"
"Oh, so you guys didn't break up"
"He hasn't even been home. He left, and hasn't come back"
"So, you guys aren't together?" She asks.
"No, we are" I nod "He still texts me and calls me but he just won't tell me where he is"
"Ugh, just dump him" She rolls her eyes.
"I can't" I shake my head "I love him, I really do" I sigh.
"But Austin..." She trails off.
"I know" I sigh "I love him too, but I'm worried he's going to leave me again. At least I know Harry won't leave"
"But you're not happy" She stops mopping, looking at me with a serious expression.
"I am happy, I'm very happy"
"Deep down, you know you could be happier"
"I know" I sigh, grabbing my bag and throwing it onto my shoulder "I'll see you soon" I walk out of the kitchen and towards my car. I call my mom and tell her I'll be over in an hour or two before I pick Amelia up, and I drive to Austin's house.
I knock lightly on his door, and look down at the ground while waiting for him to open it "What are you doing here?" A voice sneers, and I look up seeing McKenna staring at me.
"Ken, who's at the door?" I hear Austin yell and I gulp.
"What do you want?" She asks.
"Nothing, just, just forget it" I shake my head, walking off to my car. I watch her shut the door, sending me a wave and a wink. I sigh heavily and dial Rosa's number hearing the ringing flood through my speakers.
"Hello?"
"McKenna was at his house! He told me he was done with her but she's at his house! What the fuck is that shit?" I yell.
"You should've punched her"
"I should've punched him" I grit "He's such a pain in my ass. This is why I'm staying with Harry. I don't need Austin, I need someone who will put me above someone else" I rant.
"I know, I'm sorry" She sighs "I'm sorry you two are so complicated"
"Me too. I'll talk to you later" I say, hitting the end call button. I call Harry, and wait for him to answer and when he does I actually breathe out in relief.
"Hello?"
"Hi" I say.
"Hi"
"When are you coming home?" I ask, and it's his turn to sigh.
"I don't know..." He trails off.
"Please come home" I pout.
"Why should I?" He asks "You're still with Austin. And don't even try to deny it because your daughter can't stop talking about you two and how gross it is when you kiss" He says, and my chest twists.
"I'm sorry" I sigh "I'm a shitty person, but please come home. We can talk about everything but please. I miss you"
"Fine" He agrees "I'll be home later" He hangs up the phone and I drive to my mom's house, declining every call I get from Austin. When I walk into my mom's house, I walk to find my mom and Amelia, seeing the two of them in her bed.
"Mommy!" Amelia yells and I grin, laying in bed with them. My phone begins to ring again with Austin's ringtone and I roll my eyes.
"That's so annoying" My mom take my phone from my pocket, her eyes lighting up.
"Mom n-"
"Hello?" She answers "She's right beside me" She says and I glare at her. She smiles and hands me the phone and I put it up to my ear, walking out of the room.
"What?"
"Baby, I'm sorry"
"Do you even know why?" I ask, and he sighs.
"Yes, I didn't do anything with McKenna. She just came over because she wanted to talk about getting her job back. She answered the door because I was looking something up and couldn't get it. I wouldn't do anything with her"
"I don't care what you do with her" I shrug "Do whatever you want"
"Rowan, don't be like that" He groans "I love you and only you, you know that"
"I can't- I can't do this" I sigh "I can't keep wondering what you're doing, or who you're doing. I shouldn't even be doing this in the first place"
"Rowan, don't say that" He says "We're supposed to end up together"
"I'm sorry. I just don't think we are" I sigh.
"Fuck, Rowan stop!" He states in frustration "Stop saying that. Why the hell won't you just accept the fact that you want to be with me and stop playing games"
"I don't know what you want me to say"
"I want you to admit you love me, and promise that you'll be with me"
"I don't think I can do that" I sigh.
"Where's the Rowan that told me she'll fix everything? That she'll find a way to be with me. You have such an easy way out now and I don't get why you don't take it"
"Because I'm not going to let you leave me again!" I yell "I don't want to be alone again"
"Rowan-" He sighs.
"I need to go" I hang up the phone, clutching it to my chest and leaning against the wall. My mind going crazy.
