Happy 4 days till christmas
It's currently 1:30 in the morning and I'm writing this because I'm too lazy to sleep.
So, I really have no idea how old Amelia is, I feel like she's 4, so I'm going to say that she's 4.
63. Rowan
I check the clock for what seems like the hundredth time today. Austin should be coming home any minute and I'm working up the nerve to tell him the news. Amelia is now taking a nap, while I cook dinner, and I'm not sure if I want to tell Austin before she wakes up, or just wait until after dinner when we're alone in my room.
I hear the front door open, and a huge smile takes over my face and I run to the front door, tackling Austin in a hug.
"Woah, hello to you too" He chuckles, kicking his suitcase away and wrapping his arms around me tightly. He shuts the door behind him, and walks me towards the kitchen.
"I missed you so much" I mumble into his neck, and he gives me a peck on the lips.
"I missed you too Baby" He tightens his arms around me before releasing me. He walks towards the stove and looks in all the pots "What are you making?"
"Just this pasta, I found this recipe and wanted to try it out" I shrug, and he walks back over to me.
"Well, it looks delicious" He smirks, leaning in and giving me a kiss "The food looks pretty good too" He gives me an innocent grin, and I laugh.
"Oh how I've missed you" I say.
"Daddy?" I hear Amelia say from the hallway, and Austin turns around, and Amelia drops her stuffed animal and runs into him, Austin scooping her up.
"Hi Baby" He gushes, spinning her around.
"I missed you Daddy" She says.
"I missed you too Baby Girl"
"Alright, now the both of you, go wash up before dinner!" I clap, and Austin puts Amelia down, before looking at her.
"Race ya!" He says before sprinting out of the kitchen and Amelia squeals and runs after him. While they're upstairs I set the table, and put food on each plate. They both come running back downstairs and sit down at their usual spots. I sit down in my spot and while we eat Austin tells us about his trip to Miami.
After we eat, I put the plates into the dishwasher, and I take Amelia to get a bath while Austin unpacks his suitcase.
"Are you happy Daddy is back?" I ask Amelia, and she nods pushing around her rubber duck. After her bath, she runs to her room to change and I check the time seeing that it's almost her bed time.
I walk to her room, and open the door seeing her struggle to get her shirt on. I walk up behind her and help her and she thanks me.
"Come on, let's go say goodnight to Daddy, and then get you into bed" I kiss her cheek, before lifting her up and carrying her to my room.
"Someone is here to say goodnight" I open the door and Austin looks up from his suitcase.
"Goodnight, Princess" He takes Amelia from me, giving her a big kiss on the cheek "I love you"
"I love you Daddy" She hugs him tightly.
I take her back to her room, and tuck her into bed. I kiss her cheek, and give her a gentle smile "Goodnight, mi amor"
"Goodnight"
"I love you"
"I love you, Mommy"
(quick author's note, I'm watching season 3 of jane the virigin right now, its 2:30 in the morning now, and like this show has me so shook I can't go to bed)
After leaving her room, I walk back to mine and sit on the edge of my bed, turning on my side to face Austin while he puts his clothes away.
"Babe, if you want to take my clothes off, say it. Don't give me those eyes" He winks at me, and I gasp.
"Austin! I'm just watching" I laugh.
"Well, you're either horny, or you have something to tell me, that's what those eyes are" He chuckles, and I roll my eyes.
"I'm not horny"
"Hmm, so is it the second one?" He asks "Damn" He pouts in defeat.
"It's nothing bad" I shake my head.
"Well," He zips his suitcase, and slides it into the closet before sitting down on the bed and facing me "What do you have to tell me?" He asks.
"So," I sit up, sitting across from him "Like, I'm not going to sugarcoat this-"
"Babe, I thought you were kidding about the divorce" He cuts me off, a worried look on his face.
"Austin, shut up" I roll my eyes "We're not getting a divorce" I tell him and he breathes out in relief "We're having another baby" I blurt out, and his eyes widen.
"Holy shit are you serious?" He asks.
"Yes, I found out a couple days after you left" I nod, and he smiles widely, wrapping his arms around me tightly.
"Oh my god! This is fucking amazing!" He gushes "We're having another baby!" He cups my cheeks in his hands, tears welling up in his eyes.
"Yeah, we are" I grin, and he gives me a kiss before leaving kisses all around my face.
"Who knows?"
"I've only told you, I figured I'd tell you first, then we'd tell Amelia, then your mom and my mom, and then Rosa"
"That sounds like a plan to me" He wraps his arms around me before laying down, pulling me tightly against his chest "I'm excited I get to be there this time, I regret leaving like I did last time everyday"
"Shh" I shush him "It's in the past, it's over, you're forgiven and you're here now" I kiss his jaw "You need to forgive yourself for that" I cup his cheek in my hand.
"I just can't"
"But I need you to, I want you to be able to move past it like I have"
"I'll try" He sighs, and I shake my head.
"I won't take a try, you have no reason to hate yourself anymore, Amelia loves you, I love you, and you need to love yourself"
"Okay, okay, I will. You win" He smiles at me, and I give him a grin.
"I love you, so much"
"I love you more"
