16. Rowan.

"If anyone asks, you two are together" My mom points between Austin and I.

"Hell no!" I protest.

"Rowan, do you really want to know what the family would think if they knew you were married to someone besides the person you brought here!" She hisses.

"You brought him here! I had no idea of this"

"That's beside the point!" She huffs "Play along, or you'll regret it"

"Whatever" I roll my eyes, folding my arms across my chest and leaning against the back seat. Austin looks over at me but I look at Amelia quickly, occupying myself so he doesn't try to say something stupid. I turn back to Austin and he raises his eyebrows at me "I hate you" I grit, but he only chuckles.

"No, you don't"

"Oh, but I do"

"Okay, whatever you say" He shrugs, looking out of the window. We pull up to my abuelas house and we all walk out, Amelia attached to my hip. I carry her inside before sitting her on the floor, watch her run around with her cousin, or Alejandro's son.

"Rowan" Alejandro smiles, giving me a hug and a kiss on the cheek m

"Alejandro" I smile back and he pulls away, looking at Austin.

"I'm Alejandro, you are?" He holds out his hand.

"Austin, Rowan's fiancé" He smirks, winking at me and I fight the urge to smack him.

"Nice to meet you" Alejandro smiles as they shake hands and soon we go our separate ways. I walk around the house, looking around until someone breaks me out of my own head.

"Rowan" Someone says, and I turn around to see a man that I've never seen before, but from his tone I can tell he knows me, or at least he thinks he does.

"Lo siento" I clear my throat. (I'm sorry)

"Rowan?" He repeats but his tone is questioning this time.

"" I nod "¿Quien es?" I ask and just as he's about to answer, my mom runs over pushing him away and dragging him outside. I look at them as the walk off, and out of curiosity I listen to them fight through the window, my eyes widening at their argument, she repeats how she told him to stay away, but the words his says that cuts her off surprises the hell out of me. (Yes. Who are you?)

"Es mi hija Cierra" He yells and my breathing stops, my feet carrying me outside. (She's my daughter)

"¿Tu hija?" I repeat in surprise and my mom stares at me with widened eyes. (Your daughter?)

"Rowan" She chokes out, but I shake my head, running inside. I run through the house and out of the front door, and down the street, until I need to sit.

"Jesus fuck Rowan, what are you doing?" Austin says out of breath, sitting down next to me.

"She lied to me!" I scream, not at Austin but just at everything.

"Who lied to you?" He asks, wiping at my cheeks, the tears I didn't know had fallen leaving my face.

"My mom, she's been talking to my dad this whole time and he's here and tried to talk to me but I didn't even know it was him" I let out a sob "She's known about him this whole time"

"I'm so sorry Baby" Austin pulls me into his chest, kissing the top of my head "Here, I'll call Rosa and tell her to keep and eye on Amelia, I'm going to take you somewhere" He says.

"I don't want to-"

"You need this" He cuts me off, dialing Rosas phone number and waiting for her to answer "That's actually what this is about... Yeah she's fine, I just need you to keep an eye on Amelia for us... I know Rosa" He rolls his eyes and I look at him in confusion "That's not what I'm doing" He huffs "Can you just do it please?" He asks impatiently, before thanking her and hanging up. He stands up from the curb and holds out his hand, and I take it having him help me up.

"Come on" He says, calling someone else "Yes, I do" He says, looking around and giving whoever is on the phone an address "We'll be waiting"

"Please tell me you don't have a driver here too!"

"I don't have a driver here too" He says, and I sigh.

"Why?" I ask and he chuckles.

"This one lives here and any time I'm in South America he meets me wherever I am" He shrugs.

"I swear, your fame kills me" I roll my eyes and he laughs, wrapping an arm around my waist.

"You loved it when we were together" He whispers into my ear and I bite my lip "I know you like being spoiled"

"No I don't" I shake my head.

"Tell that to the seven thousand dollar necklace I bought you that you still wear" He smirks.

"I haven't worn that in forever!" I lie, and he shakes his head.

"You were wearing it the day you brought me coffee"

"You noticed that?" I ask and he nods "I put it on by accident but didn't notice until I was already halfway there and I figured you didn't notice"

"I notice everything" He tells me "I notice because I... pay attention"

"You sure it's not something else?" I ask, picking up on his hesitation.

"No, it is" He nods "But I'm sure if I told you, then you'd go quiet and tell me not to do that" He says "You do that a lot"

"But still, I want to know" I move to stand in front of him, placing my hands on his chest.

"Oops, looks like our rides here, can't tell you" He says quickly as a car pulls up beside us. He opens the door for me and I glare at him on my way in and he gets in after me, kissing my cheek, very close to my lips "If you still want to know later, I'll tell you"

"Promise?"

"Promise" He nods, telling his driver an address "Question, is it inappropriate to document out day in snapchat?" He asks.

"I don't care" I shake my head, knowing Harry isn't big on social media, I don't even think he knows what snapchat is.

"Good" He pulls out his phone "Because we're going to have a long day full of fun"
