Adrienne, Christmas

After laying staring at the ceiling for the past ten minutes I finally picked up my phone. I went to my contacts but was interrupted by an incoming call from Jay.

"Merry Christmas!" He yelled in my ear.

I laughed at how excited he was. "Merry Christmas Jaycee"

"What are you doing?"

"Staring at the ceiling, you?"

"Just finished making breakfast"

My stomach rumbled at the thought. "Sounds great"

"I know, now come open the door this plate is hot"

I jumped out the bed and jogged to the front door before unlocking it and swinging it open. I took the plate he held out for me and let him in. We sat at the table and wasted no time digging in.

Once I was done I sat back and rubbed my full stomach. "Great first Christmas present"

"This is definitely not your gift I have much better taste than that"

"So what is my gift?"

"Me obviously"

I scrunched up my face. "Do you have the receipt?"

"Fine I'll take my breakfast back"

"How are you gonna get it out?"

"I'll sit on you"

"Rude. It's Christmas be nice"

"Says the one who rudely wants to return her gift"

"Im just kidding since I know you're not my real gift"

"Oh? So then you think I have money to spend?" He smirked.

I rolled my eyes. "I can happily get a refund for what I bought you and do a little shopping"

"And I could do a lot of shopping" he challenged.

"Great see you later so we can exchange them then" I slid my plate to him before standing up.

"Great see you later" he stacked the plates before leaving.

I showered before changing into my Christmas pajamas, calling dad and waking up my mom.

"It's 10 in the morning mom so you have an hour to get into the spirit before dad gets here"

She groaned. "Wanna help? Put to make some coffee"

I jogged to the kitchen before doing just that. Once mom had her coffee and was human we waited for dad.

He came in a few minutes later with a big laundry bag and just sat it on the side of the couch like it was absolutely normal.

"What's that?" I reached over to try and peek.

"Just laundry to do before I leave tomorrow"
