Adrienne, Move In Day
After finally checking in and getting my key I began moving in.
I set one of the boxes on my bed and resisted the urge to sit down with it. Is it possible for me to pay some guys to move everything in for me? Probably not since everyone moving in stuff of their own. I walked back out to the hall and stacked the smaller boxes on one of the bins.
Jay walked down the hall carrying another box. "Where was all this stuff at honestly?"
"My closet mostly but I had to buy new stuff"
"How much because this all looks new"
"Well I was on this website then I went to Target-"
"Say no more ya females love target" he took the box in the room.
I followed by dragging the bin. Once I finally got it in I stood next to my full body mirror. "But look it's Rose Gold!"
"You're rose gold"
"Well thank you it's my new highlight"
"Your what?"
I shook my head. "Never mind was that the last box downstairs?"
"Yup that's the last of it"
I sighed. "Why did we apply to different schools? I'm gonna miss you seeing you guys whenever we want"
He pulled me into a tight hug. "We'll still see each other when we visit on holidays at the same time"
"But we're not always gonna go back at the same time" I mumbled into his chest.
"But when we do"
"Fine when we do"
He squeezed me again before pulling back. "You better not replace me either or Cj because she'll kill you then Ima have to get her back and we all gon be fucked. Ya gon be dead and my ass probably gon die in jail an shit."
I rolled my eyes. "I can't replace either one of you even if I tried... which I won't by the way."
"Good"
There was a knock on the door and we both turned to see who it was. Aside from her hair, that was mostly straight in her pictures, but was now curly, she looks exactly like she does on her Facebook.
We both smiled at each other before she walked in.
"Hi roomie"
"Hi" I looked at jay. "Oh Corie this is Jaycee"
They shook hands before saying hi to each other as well.
"Well I gotta get back to the city to finish packing. I'll call you later"
I nodded sadly. "Goodby- later" I corrected.
"See there you go. Catch you later" he turned to Corie. "Nice meeting you" he left and I was suddenly more homesick.
Corie, who'd been watching him walk out, turned to face me again. "I apologize if that's your boyfriend but that boy is fine"
