* Boring filler chapter but next chapters are when it gets back together *

Finally it was the day before we had to go back to school and I can't wait. I've grown so used to only coming to the city on holidays that I don't care for coming back too much and trying to hold this secret in while being in such close proximity as him was getting harder and harder.

"You got everything packed?"

I set all my bags to the side before glaring at him, "you see everything right here"

"Actually I asked before I looked so chill out"

"I am chilled thanks"

"Can we not leave on a bad note?"

I rolled my eyes before turning around, "how many times do I have to tell you I'm not mad?"

"Zero, I want you to act like it" he wrapped his arms around me and trapped me in a hug.

I patted his back before trying to pull away which made him squeeze me even tighter. We stood like that for a couple minutes before he pulled away.

As soon as he let go I fixed my shirt and made sure he didn't give me any wrinkles, "Got all the hugging out your system?"

"I have no choice, I don't know when's the next time we'll see each other after this"

I bit my lip knowing he's right once we get back it's back to crunch time with work, classes and eventually apartment hunting, the next time we see each other would be in the summer. I gave him a quick hug before pouting.

"Ima miss you as always"

"That was cute until you messed up my hair, you can leave now"

He sucked his teeth but smiled, "it's our last night together for however long, don't make me fuck you up before we part"

"We're too old for that now Jay" I shook my head at him but I knew he could tell I was a little intrigued.

"You're never too old for me to wax that ass real quick don't forget that" he nudged me before bending down to grab his bags.

I didn't even bother to continue arguing and just grabbed one of his smaller bags. Once all his bags were in his trunk I sat on the back of the car.

"You're all set after we stop at target"

He came and leaned against the car next to me "I can't wait to just graduate and move into one apartment an not have to go back and forth"

"Speaking of apartments, me and Corie have been thinking about getting one together for the year"

"That's what's up, have ya looked for one?"

"We wanna go in person so we can get proper feels of them, ya know? Plus it's more fun that way"

"Good luck with that"

"Snacks and foods all set"

"Storage containers all set"

I stayed staring at the bags in the trunk, "is it weird that after 3 years now is when I don't wanna go back? I was just ready to go back earlier but now I just wanna stay"

"Nah I understand"

"I'm just ready to start my career and working on my future. This going back and forth is tiring"

"Soon you'll be in your own apartment so you won't have to do any more moving back and forth for a while"

"You right you right and if i could find one before next break it'll be even better"

"That's a fact"

I raised a eyebrow "Already back to talking like a New Yorker? Yeah it's time to go"

I moved all my bags to the living room before double checking that everything was there. "Bags done, house cleaned, and I'm somewhat prepared for the drive"

"What time are you leaving?"

"Sunrise"

"Do you really need to leave that early?"

"The earlier I leave the more time I'll have to set my room up and have it done in one day"

"You're rooming with Corie again?"

"No I have my own dorm this year"

"oh you fancy?"

"You know me" I dusted the invisible dirt off my shoulder.

"Yeah let's not do that again"

"You're such a hater"

"Yeah yeah" he pulled he hoodie on and fixed it before looking down at me again, "guess I'll see you in a couple months or so"

"Drive safely"

"You too and get enough sleep"

"I'm going straight to sleep right after this"

"Okay" We hugged each other one last time before he left.

Woke up a little late because I couldn't fall asleep but  I'd rather over sleep than drive while tired so I wasn't even mad. After my car was packed up and I triple checked I had everything again I begun my couple hour long drive with a large coffee and loud music to keep me wide awake which worked so I got back fine and set up my room. Once that was done I was ready to take a nice long nap until Corie comes back to the campus.
