Chapter 2: Welcome to Responsibility

Owen walked down the hallway at school. He stopped at his locker which was next to Skylar's.

"Hey Mr. Bigshot Football player" teased Skylar.

"Why isn't it my jock kissing cousin?"

"Hey! That football player kissed me!"

"I know I'm just teasing you. Did you ever find out who that guy was?"

"No! I didn't. Anyway let's get back to you. Tell me you aren't dating a cheerleader"

Owen flashed a smiled and Skylar shook her head.

"Nice"

"Well! She's cute and has a crush on me. Plus I like her. She's extremely nice and kind"

"If it turns out this cheerleader is a bitch I'm gonna slap you"

"Go for it"

"Ok. Now I am going to hold you to that"

"Alright Skye"

"That reminds me. I hate riding the bus so I was wondering if after school from now on I can just get a ride with you"

"I have football practice after school till 5"

"I can just sit on the sidelines and do homework while you practice"

"If you don't mind waiting then sure. Starting today?"

"Yep"

"Ok, I got you then"

"Sweet. I have to go talk to Carson real quick before the bell rings. I'll see you later"

"Ok"

Carly and Carson were argueing in front of his locker.

"Carson! You have to tell her"

"No, I don't"

"You do. Otherwise I will"

"You better not!"

"Why?!"

"Because! It doesn't matter Carly. No drop it. Please"

Carly never saw her brother like this. He was practically begging her not to say anything.

"Fine. I won't say anything"

Skylar walked up and stopped in front of them.

"Hey Carles. Hey Carson"

"Hey girl" smiled Carley.

"What's up Skye?" asked Carson.

"Just wanted to congratulate you again on the win last night. And to ask you a question"

"Shoot"

"You don't have a girlfriend right?"

"Uh yeah. Why?"

"Good. I wanted to make sure you weren't some moron dating a cheerleader. Anyway, do you know if there is any guys on the football team that has a crush on me or something?"

"Yeah do you Carson" smirked Carly.

"I mean your one of the nice popular girls at school. Practically every guy wants to date you"

"Is that a yes or a no Carson?"

"Crushes specifically, no. I have heard guys say they want to ''get with' you. If you know what I mean"

"Oh. Ok. That's all. Ready to go to class Carles?"

"Yeah, let's go"

Carly and Skylar started walking to class. Skylar's phone started ringing so they stopped in the hallway.
