Kelly was wrapped up in a blanket, fast asleep while Corin laid in a hospital, pale and still inconcious. Jay was sitting on the other side of her, also asleep. Kelly had his hand holding Corin's while Jay did the same with her other hand. Dr. Charles looked through her medical history and agreed with Gabby. She didn't sincerely want to die, it was another episode. Dr. Rhodes, Natalie, and Will leaned against the counter, watching them.
"Will you can be in there with her. It's okay," assured Natalie as she placed her hand on Will's arm.
He loved his little sister so it pained him to see her like this. He shrugged Natalie off, wanting to be alone. He walked off without saying a word.
"This is tough on everyone. I just can't believe it," stated Natalie as she shook her head.
"Did someone tell Skylar?" asked Rhodes look at Natalie full of question.
"I called Owen. He's signing her out and bringing her to the hospital. He grabbed Carson too by the way. Carson always calms Skylar down."
"I was gonna suggest that. Thank you Nat."
Suddenly Corin let out a groan as her eye's fluttered open. Rhodes and Natalie hurried into the room to check her vitals. She was stable and fine, but she looked confused.
"What happened? Why am I in this hospital bed? And why am I do cold?"
"I'm gonna go get you some warm fluids and some more blankets," informed Natalie, Corin's words falling deaf on her ears.
Natalie walked off, leaving Rhodes to explain. He stood by her feet as to not interfere with the sleeping men. He lowered his voice as a began to speak.
"Corin, your PTSD meds had too low of a dosage, so they weren't helping. Then your PTSD effected your depression and severe anxiety. Finally when all three combined, it attacked your mind like a hail storm. You had a psychotic break," explained Rhodes.
"Wow. Okay. Why am I wet and cold though? Am I hurt?"
"Corin, in your episode you lost your mind. That's why you don't remember. You left work and sat on the edge of a bridge," he paused as a horrified look crossed Corin's face them he continued, "51 was called to the scene and Kelly got scared. He tried to talk you down but...."
"Oh my god. I jumped?"
"Yes you did. Kelly panicked and then jumped in after you. You both have the potential of being slightly hypothermic. Your heart rate has slowed and we've been checking Kelly regularly. You're both are fine, physically."
"Thank you. I just can't believe I did that."
"You weren't you. Your head was somewhere else. And now your gonna get the help you need. We are gonna keep you over night for observation. In the morning your new PTSD meds will arrive with a proper dosage. Then you'll be back to normal and we'll discharge you."
"Thank you Connor. You've done so much for my family."
"Of course. Natalie should be back shortly with the warning materials and probably Will."
"Ok. Do my kids...."
"Natalie called Owen to being Skylar and Carson here. Skylar knows only that you two are hurt."
"Ok. Thank you again. If anyone can calm her down it's Carson and Owen."
"Yeah."
Rhodes turned and left the room. Natalie returned carrying blankets and with two warm IV bags. She had Will at her side. As soon as she made eye contact with him, he rushed to her side, careful not to bother Jay, and leaned down to kiss her forehead.
