It was January 3rd, finally a new year. Skylar, Alex, Cassandra, and Kristen had just left for the bus stop. It was there first day back to school after winter break. Kelly kissed Corin goodbye before heading off to shift. A few minutes later Corin grabbed her coffee mug then headed to her shift at he district. When she arrived 10 minutes later, she saw everyone else was already there. She sat down at her desk, and received a from from Jay.

"Hey Little sis. How's everything going?" asked Jay.

"Fine. The undercover went good last week, Kelly and I got to celebrate our anniversary. Life's good."

"Good," grinned Jay.

It was a slow day for Intelligence. A few hours after Corin arrived she decided to run an errand. She informed Hank, then gave Jay a kiss on the cheek goodbye. Right before she left she hugged Antonio. Jay thought it was a bit odd, but he knew Corin had been off latley. Once she climbed into her car she drove, and drove. Finally, she pulled her car over on a bridge and climbed out. She climbed over all of the bars till she was sitting on the ledge of the bridge. She was crying, her PTSD had kicked in she couldn't think clearly. She just sat there and cried, debating what to do.

Only a few blocks away Kelly was laying in his office, exhausted from everything going on in his life. That's when he heard the familiar sound of the bells. He had a love/hate relationship with those bells.

Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, Welfare check. Woman on a bridge

"Let's go!" ordered Severide as he ran out of his office.

Everyone loaded up and rolled to the scene. When they finally arrived Kelly picked his head out the window to look at the woman. That's when fear, anger, and confusion flooded his body. He saw his wife, the love of his wife, on the edge. He jumped out of the truck and ran towards her. His feet pushing against the ground to move as fast as possible. Chief ordered Kelly to come back, but he didn't listen. Matt hooked himself up to the truck in case she fell or jumped. Everyone from 51 stood around in shock. Regan pulled up to the scene with Antonio, the patrolman had called them in. Kelly stood in the walking back trying to talk to his wife.

"Corin! Baby it's me. What are you doing?"

"I'm sorry Kelly, I'm so sorry. I-I have hurt you, Skylar, and the kids with all the mistakes I've made. I left you for a freaking war!"

"It's okay babe. Skylar is fine, happy. So are our other three kids. And me? I love you. We have our fights but it doesn't mean I don't love you. Always and forever. Right?"

Kelly now had tears in his eyes while Corin continued crying.

"I'm not that girl anymore! I'm broken! I've relapsed I-I went back to war. I was raped twice! That's what puts you on that ledge, Kelly."

"Corin. Please don't do this. Think about me, the kids, Jay, Will. I can't live without you."

"I love you."

That's when she left go. Corin's body plummeted into the deep water underneath her.

"No!" yelled Kelly as he jumped himself.

The guys from 51 were in shock. Antonio and Regan stood, mouths agape. The guys from 51 headed down to the lake side to rescue two of there own. Kelly's head popped up in the water while he frantically looked around for Corin. That's when he saw her in the pitch black water. He swam over to her and then dragged her to shore. The water was freezing, and so were they. Sylvie and Gabby were ready when Kelly emerged from the water with Corin. Kelly laid Corin on the platform, letting Gabby check for a pulse. Gabby shook her head, revealing the ugly truth. Kelly then began doing compressions, pumping his wife's chest. Every 30 compressions he breathed twice into her mouth. Gabby turned to Antonio, pulling down on his pant sleeve to get his attention.

"Call Jay. Now!" whispered Gabby.

He nodded, then stepped away. Regan stood there, staring at her friend. Kelly continued CPR until Gabby checked again for a pulse.

"She's got a pulse!" announced Gabby.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief besides Kelly. He was still crying. Cruz and Matt carried the backboard back up to the ambo. Once they reached it they loaded her inside while Kelly just stood, watching. Gabby looked at Kelly while Sylvie climbed in the front of the ambo.

"Kelly you were in that water, you could be hypothermic. We have to bring you with to get checked out," explained Gabby.

"Yeah ok. I was coming with anyway."

Kelly climbed in the back of the ambo and then Sylvie took off. Gabby ran an IV and stablized her. Corin remained unconscious, leaving an awkward silence. Gabby wrapped a blanket around Kelly's shoulders, trying to keep him warm.

"Kelly, was she depressed?" asked Gabby.

"Not that I saw. I mean she had a PTSD episode before our anniversary but that's it," replied Kelly.

"You didn't say anything."

"Cause it hit Corin hard that night. She woke up for have an episode, choking me."

"WHAT!?"

"Everyone was fine. I handle myself and her. It was just rough."

"Oh my god, Kelly."

"What? What is it?"

"Did her doctor prescribe PTSD meds?"

"Yeah with a sustainably high dosage but they haven't come in yet. She's been taking her old ones."

"What's her mental health history?"

"PTSD, GAD, ADD, and Depression. She was taking meds for the GAD and Depression at the time of her freak out."

"But not PTSD meds?"

"No. She was diagnosed with her mental disorders after she was cured of her PTSD from going in the first time. Why?"

"I don't think she truly wanted to die."

"What do you mean? She just tried to kill herself."

"I think her PTSD med dosage is too low. So they weren't helping her at all. Her PTSD was affecting her Depression which set off this whole train of things. She had a psychotic break, Kelly. She didn't want to die."

"Thank God. I couldn't live with myself if she did this in her right mind."

"Now she's gonna get the physical and mental health she needs."

"Thanks Gabby. I just need my girl to be okay."
