Sylvie was driving around with tears in her eyes. She couldn't believe that her ex husband was dead. She may not have loved him any more but she didn't want him to be dead. She didn't love him anymore yet she still feels as if something was missing. He was still a great father to their kids. It was now night as Sylvie pulled into the Molly's parking lot. She sat down at the bar and began to have some drinks.
Antonio walked in the door looking tired. He had just been at the hospital visiting and talking to Corin. He checked in on Skylar and his sister as well. Now he just wanted to have some drinks. He sat down at the bar next to Sylvie just as she flipped her shot glass upside down.
"Brett" spoke Antonio.
"Hey Antonio" smiled Sylvie.
"I just saw Gabby and Corin. Damn it's crazy over at Med"
"Tell me about it"
"Can I get you a drink?"
"Beer works"
"Beer it is"
They smiled at each other flirtingly. Hermann placed two beers in the bar and smiled at them. Over at the hospital Kelly had taken the kids home after attempting to talk to Skylar. Everyone had left besides Jay, Hank, Erin, and Corin. Corin walked in and sat at the side of Skylar's bed.
"Mom, you're back" weakly smiled Skylar
"Well when my daughter almost dies it's hard not to come home" said Corin.
"Mom..."
"No. I'm talking now. How could you shoot yourself up with heroin Skylar! You saw how I was when I did that when you were little and your brother died. And you've heard the stories your aunt Erin and I have told you! Why?"
"Because you left me! You left all of us mom and it hurt! I get it and all but I felt horrible. All I could imagine was you coming home in a casket with a folded flag. I couldn't loose you. The drugs made the pain fade away"
"I wasn't going to die on you. I would never do that. But you shouldn't have done this. You should have gone to your dad or anyone. This was not the answer"
"I know. I'm sorry mom"
That's when Skylar broke down crying. Corin held her as she cried.
"I'm so sorry mom. I screwed up big time. I'm just so glad your home. Cause I need your help mom"
"I know. I'm here baby girl, I'm here"
"Please don't leave me again!"
Corin held her daughter as they both let tears fall from there eyes. It was just then that Jay and Erin walked in. Erin went and hugged Corin before looking her in the eye.
"Would you mind talking to Skye while I go have a minute with my brother?" asked Corin.
"Of course. Maybe I can knock some sense into her" grinned Erin.
Corin smiled back and then walked out of the room with Jay. The two of them walked into an empty conference room that Will let them in to. Jay gave Corin a big hug and she let a few tears slide down her face. She was so happyto be back with her family.
"So what's up sis?"
"I figured I should tell you before news got around or whatever"
"Corin, what's going on?"
"Well attempting to save my friend I was raped and beat but I'm fine now Jay"
"What?!"
"The guys dead Jay. Only you and Rhodes know"
"Why didn't you say anything?!"
"Because it was over with! It happened before Jay so I will just move on! I barely remember what happened anyway!"
"Corin! You can't just forget about it!"
"Jay my life is crumbling right now. In fact it seems to always have some problem. So please just let me control this aspect"
"Corin you can't just hide it! You can't just make decisions without consulting the people they effect"
"Really? My daughter is laying in a hospital bed because of me! You think that's not punishment enough! You really want to be mad at me for leaving! Now! Fine, be mad Jay, just know that I did that to save a life"
"And look what you did in the process! You left your kids, hit yourself raped and beat, and it you absence causes Skylar to overdose!"
"I KNOW! IT'S ALL MY FAULT JAY!"
Corin ran out of the room in a hurry. Jay immediately regretted what he had said. He didn't mean it the way he came out. He ran out to find Corin. She had ran out of the hospital and just started walking. She had tears streaming down her face. Her family was a wreck and her own brother was mad at her. Then to add to it her daughter was in the hospital for an overdose. Jay stopped and stood outside the hospital doors looking for his sister. That's when he spotted her.
"Corin!" cried Jay.
Corin turned her head to see Jay, then she turned and continued walking. Jay rolled his eyes and began to jog after her. Once he finally reached her he grabbed her arm pulling her back. Corin gasped a little pain, Jay not realizing she already had a bruise they. Corin stopped walking and began to rub that spot on her arm.
"What the hell Jay?" angrily swore Corin.
"That hurt?" asked a confused Jay.
"Doesn't matter. What do you need?"
Jay gently grabbed Corin's wrist and pulled up her shirt sleeve. That's when he revealed a handprint bruise. Jay had anger and sadness flashing in his eyes. His sister had been hurt and it made him feel like he should have protected her. Corin gently pulled her arm away and then yanked her sleeve down.
"Corin..."
"It's just from the attack. What did you need?"
"I'm sorry. Some of the things I said in there were wrong. And that last thing didn't come out right. No one blames you for what happened to Skye. She made her own choices"
"It didn't come out that way"
"I know and that's my bad. I love you Corin, you're my little sister! So, I worry about you and I'm over protective of you. I was mad at that guy but I took it out on you"
"Its just been so hard"
Corin began to cry and Jay reached to hug her. He wrapped his arms around Corin and held her close. She clung on to him as if her life depended on it. Jay sat down on the sidewalk pulling Corin into his lap. She cried into his shoulder, letting everything out.
"It's okay Corin. I'm here,"
