Chapter 27: Terrifying Love

"Babe!" called Kelly from the kitchen as Belle sat at the table eating.

"What?" asked Corin as she hustled down stairs, walking over to him.

"I love you," smirked Kelly as he kissed her.

"I love you too," replied Corin with a smile.

"Alright I gotta get to work. Gotta work that overtime if we wanna be able to go on a honeymoon after the vow renewal."

"I can't wait. It's gonna be amazing. You, me, and our spot."

"2 weeks baby. 2 weeks."

Corin smiled. She couldn't believe how blessed she was, despite everything that made her broken. She took one look into Kelly's deep blue eyes and she was gone. When she's in his arms she feels as safe as can be. Kelly was her one true love, and she couldn't imagine life without him.

Kelly had to leave the house earlier then usual today because there was a house meeting. An experienced female firefighter was moving into Otis' old spot on Truck 81. Kelly knew today was gonna be hard on the guy's so he picked up some donuts to bring to the meeting.

"Bye beautiful. I'll see you later. Are you stopping by the firehouse later?" asked Kelly after kissing her on the cheek.

"Yep. I'm gonna come on my lunch break. That okay?" smiled Corin.

"Yeah sounds perfect," grinned Kelly before walking over to Belle and kissing her on the forehead, "Bye baby girl. Have fun with Aunt Sylvie today."

"Bye daddy!" cried Belle, before returning back to coloring.

Kelly couldn't help but smile when she said those words. He said one last goodbye before heading out the door. Corin slide her gun in it's holster before walking over to Belle.

"Alright baby girl we gotta go. Aunt Sylvie's expecting us plus momma's gotta get to work," cooed Corin as she handed Belle her shoes.

"Okay momma! Do I get to see Baby Bella?" cutely asked Belle as she slid on her shoes.

"Yeah you do!"

"Yay!"

Corin chuckled as she wrangled her into the car. Once Belle was buckled up Corin headed for Antonio's. The whole ride there Belle was asking her questions. When they finally pulled up, Corin scooped Belle up in her arms and grabbed her Disney backpack. The door opened and Antonio stood there, looking exhausted.

"Hey partner," smiled Corin as he welcomed her in.

"Hey Corin," greeted Antonio as he hugged her, then tickeled Belle's belly.

"Hey Corin! Hi Belle!" waved Sylvie from the couch while holding Isabella.

"Awe Sylvie she's adorable! Everytime I see her I just wanna eat her up!" gushed Corin, still holding Belle.

"Yeah she's a cutie. But so is little Belle here! Wanna come sit and watch a movie?" tempted Sylvie so Corin could head to work.

Corin set Belle down and he ran over to Sylvie. Corin smiled as Belle cuddled right in. Antonio slipped on his badge and strapped on his gun before kissing Sylvie goodbye.

"You ready?" asked Corin after sending a text to Kelly.

"Yeah let's go," replied Antonio as they walked out of the house.

Corin's head was in her phone which was odd. She tossed Antonio the keys before climbing in the passenger seat. Antonio couldn't help but notice that Corin was acting weird. As he headed towards the district he finally decided to say something.
