Today was the kids last day at camp. Tomorrow is the day Corin and Kelly renew their vows. Yesterday was the day when Juliana found out news that changed her whole life.

The kids finished packing up their things and lugged their suitcases out to the gravel area where they were dropped off. Kristen hugged Brian goodbye as his parents pulled up.

"It was nice to meet you!" smiled Brian as his dad but his suitcase in the car.

"You too Brian!" called Kristen as his dad drove away.

Sad, Kristen walked over by her family. Jay had drove up to pick up his two and Corin's kids while Adam took the rest. They all packed into the cars and headed up. Skylar and Carson sat in the third row of seats, holding hands. Carson's phone started ringing, causing him to drop her hand.

"Carson Rhodes," he answered.

"Hey Carson it's dad."

"Oh hey dad. What's up?"

"I'm not gonna be able to pick you up from Jay's. Natalie and I have a trauma to handle. Violet is having her baby."

"Oh my god! She's only 7 months."

"I know. Just see if you can hang out at Severide's please. I gotta go. Bye!"

"Bye!"

Carson shook his head, staring. He was pulled out of his trance when Skylar squeezed his hand. He looked down at her to see a concerned look on her face.

"Everything okay?" asked a worried Skylar.

"Yeah Violet is having her baby and there's an issue. That's all," replied Carson, not breaking eye contact.

"Oh okay."

Over at Chicago Med ambulance 61 pulled up to the ER doors. Gabby and Sylvie wheeled Violet out of the ambulance as Matt jumped out of the back, coated in blood.

"Violet Severide, Female 27. 7 months pregnant. Placental rupture with extreme bleeding, low pulse," rambled Gabby as Natalie and Connor took the gurney.

Gabby sighed and looked at Sylvie. The two of them loaded up the ambo and pulled it into the parking lot. They found Matt sitting in the waiting room still covered in blood. Gabby sat next him, Sylvie sitting next to her.

"Hell of a first day back," Gabby sighed to Sylvie.

"Tell me about it. Matt what even happened?" asked a curious Sylvie.

Matt unlocked Violet's house door, coming to check up on her. He called her name, but got no answer. He figured she was sleeping and decided to make himself a sandwich. When he walked into the kitchen he saw Violet laying on the floor, blood pooled around her. She was barley consious, going in and out.

The dark red flood seemed to flood the kitchen as Matt began to panick. All he could remember was was the sound of her screaming when he moved her. The loud, loud screams.

"Uh I just found her," replied Matt as the flashback in his head ended.

"Violet's gonna be okay Matt. She's a fighter. Remember?" encouraged Gabby as she rubbed his back.

"I need her to be okay. No one else is allowed to die."

Soon the waiting room was vacant. Everyone had to get back to their shift at 81 while they waited for Violet to get out of surgery. It was quiet at the firehouse as even sat in silence. Finally the gruesome soundlessness was broken by Carson and Skylar walking into the firehouse. When Kelly saw his baby girl he couldn't help but smile. He stood up and squeezed her tight against his chest.
