Calum:

"What was that about?" Calum asked after Michael closed the door.

"I know what's going on, Calum."

"Nothing's going--"

"You like my best friend."

"I do not!" Calum exclaimed.

"Really?" Michael tilted his head, furrowing his brows. "I don't believe you. You've never been a jerk to the boys or any of my friends."

The other boy let out a sigh. "So?"

"So, you obviously don't know how to deal with your feelings for a friend of mine. It's probably a bit weird for you because of my relationship with her. But, it doesn't have to be." Michael placed his hands on Calum's shoulders, looking at him. "Tell her how you feel."

"Michael, she hates me!" He replied, stating the obvious.

"Ha! You do like her!"

"Fine, maybe."

"Well, that's your fault. Fix it. Just apologize to her and ask her if you can start over."

"Uh, I don't think she'll agree."

"Who are you going to trust? Her best friend or your stupid thoughts?"

"Her best friend." Calum sighed.

"Okay, let's go."

". . . What?"

"Go. Now." Michael grabbed the boy's arm and opened the door, pushing him in the direction of you.

"Hi, (y/n)." Calum said, nervous.

"What do you want, Calum? Do you want to say something offensive?" You rolled your eyes.

"No, no! I just wanted to say 'hi,' that's all." He quickly replied, sitting down in a chair.

You looked at him, suspicious. "Okay. Hi."

"Listen, (y/n), I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been so rude to you and I should have gotten to know you better before judging you. Can you forgive me?" Calum told you. You were surprised.

"Yes." You said without thinking. "I forgive you."

He looked shocked. "You do?"

"Yeah. I get it, you were looking out for your friends. But, I'm not using them."

"I know you aren't." Calum replied. It made you happy that he at least trusted you. "Can we start over?"

"Yes." You smiled, nodding. "I'd like that."

Ashton:

"I still don't understand why this is a big deal!"

"Because, people don't like being compared to a bossy--"

"Let. It. Go!"

"Why should I?"

"Because--"

"Guys!" Luke suddenly yelled, making you look at him. Ashton did the same. Both of you were silent. "I wanted you to get along and you're arguing! It's not fair to me. I thought you would eventually stop arguing for me to have a good time. I'm not asking for you to be best friends and text each other, but you could at least not argue every ten seconds."

You were speechless and ashamed of yourself. "I'm so sorry, Luke. I didn't think about you or how you felt. I was selfish."

"I'm sorry, mate." Ashton apologized. You looked at him.
