He defends you after you break up.

Calum:

"Calum! Is it true that Michael has a girlfriend?!"

"Calum, do you have feelings for anyone?!"

"Is it true that (y/n) (l/n) cheated on you?!" Another reporter asked. That question caught Calum's attention. Whenever your name was mentioned, he immediately focused on the source.

"No," Calum answered, swallowing. It was still hard to talk about you. "(y/n) never cheated on me and I never cheated on her. She's amazing and she's my soulmate whether we're together or not. It doesn't matter. We broke up because it was hard to keep our relationship with the band touring and working on music. I'm not blaming anyone. It was mutual."

The reporter stared at him, speechless.

Ashton:

"(y/n) (l/n) is so needy." A girl said as Ashton walked past her. He stopped moving after hearing her.

"I know right? I can't believe Ashton dated her. She seemed fake." The girl's friend agreed.

"Yeah, she was always out with him. She probably used him for fame." Another said.

Ashton heard enough. He walked over to the girls, calming down. "Hello." He greeted. They turned around. Their jaws dropped and their eyes widened. "I would just like to say that it was my idea to go out on dates with (y/n). It was her idea sometimes, but mostly mine. She would never use me for fame and she was never fake. She showed me her flaws. Why would she use money to attend my band's concert and shyly ask me for a picture?"

"I don't-- I don't know." One girl replied, shocked. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize how hurtful my words were. No one deserves hate, especially when they didn't do anything wrong."

The other girl nodded. "Can you please forgive us?"

"Of course." Ashton gave the girls a small smile. "Everyone makes mistakes and says hurtful things. I forgive you. I love you both."

"Love you too." The girls said before walking away.

Michael:

A lady walked over to Michael. "Hello, I work for 'E! News.' Could you answer a few questions?"

"Uh, I guess, sure." Michael nodded. He hadn't been himself since the break up. You ended the relationship because of the hate you were getting. Michael understood, but that didn't stop his heart from breaking.

"So, how do you feel about the reaction to the new album from your fans?" The lady asked.

"It's great. I'm glad that our fans enjoy the album. We put a lot of time and effort into it and, to be able to write a different style of music and have fans like it, it's awesome." Michael answered, smiling.

"That's amazing!" The interviewer beamed. "Articles say that (y/n) had been rude to fans when you two were dating. How do you feel about that?" She held the microphone in front of Michael.

"I don't appreciate it. (y/n) was never rude to fans. She never said anything hurtful online and, when we went on dates, she treated everyone with kindness and respect. She took photos for fans and she gave them some space with me. I know she would never treat them like that."

The interviewer nodded, holding the microphone to her mouth. "Alright, well, thank you."
