Queennie's face was burning as she strolled towards where Lucas was standing. She didn't dare to look back. She was still pissed with his remark.

Lucas sensed her presence and tilted his head to her. She waved and smiled at him.

"Obviously your busy. Sana sinabi mo para hindi na ako makaistorbo," iningosan niya ito at pinagkrus ang mga braso.

His lips curved into a sly smile.

"I'm not really busy. At least you can enjoy here than spending time alone in the house."

"Tsk. Just continue what you are doing. I'll just roam around to see the farm. Don't mind me."

Napatango si Lucas at nagkibit-balikat

"Suit yourself. You can approach Lutian anytime when you need something. I might be busy for an hour or so."

She rolled her eyes on him.

"I don't need his help," she said at the back of her mind.

"Nah, I'm good. I can mange myself."

Iniwan na niya si Lucas at nagpatuloy ito sa pakikipag-usap sa mga trabahador kung ano ang mga gagawin.

Binusog niya ang mga mata sa ganda ng farm. Malawak ang taniman ng rambutan at napakagandang pagmasdan dahil sa hitik ang bawat puno ng bunga. Ang ibang rambutan ay kasing taas lang niya.

Naingganyo siyang lumapit sa rambutan at malapad ang ngiting inabot ang kanang kamay upang pumitas ng bunga. Siguro naman hinog na ang mga ito dahil pula na ang mabalahibong balat ng prutas.

The fruit felt rough under her palm. Ikinuyom niya ang palad sa rambutan para pitasin sana ngunit natigilan siya nang may ibang kamay na pumatong sa nakakuyom niyang palad. His large hand was carefully touched her hand and her stomach made a somersault. Her hand looked so small and fragile in compared to his.

Her back was slightly pressed to his chest as he stepped closer. Her heart was beating so hard that she fund it hard to move.

"You made a wrong choice to pick a good one. Hindi pa ito masyadong hinog. Kung mamimili ka, be sure to choose the best and the right one, Baby..." he advised and his hot breath tingled her sensitive skin at the back of her ear.

Queennie bit her lower lip when his other hand rested naturally on her hip for support as he leaned farther to pick a good kind of rambutan. She immediately dropped down her trembling hand to her side.

"Palms up Baby," he said after picking the fruits.

Why does every time he used that endearment, her heart would flipped like crazy? But she knew better than to believe his flowering words.

She arched her right eye brow as she looked up sideways to meet his eyes. Oh damn it! It was a wrong move. She felt like melting under his stare. Why do his eyes have to be this mesmerizing?

Napakurap siya nang dumukwang ito at ilang pulgada na lang ang layo nito sa mukha niya. Siya ang unang nag-iwas ng tingin at bahagyang tumikhim. Wala sa sariling sinunod niya ang sinabi nito. Inilahad niya ang dalawang palad.

He then put the rambutan that he picked on her palms.

"Here, eat these. Call me anytime if you need something-"

"I can manage myself," matigas na sambit niya at nakuyom niya ang hawak na mga rambutan.

She heard him sighed and he stepped back. Suddenly she felt so cold and empty.
