Epilogue

Hello My Precious Readers! I just took the courage to write an epilogue specifically for Lutian's part. I hope with this you would be able to understand him deeper. I'll leave it all up to you. I will take this opportunity to thank you all for your support.

Lutian

Lutian never thought that he would be this happy after everything that happened. He watched his Queen sleeping on his arms with so much love and respect. Akala niya hindi na darating pa ang pagkakataong ito na makasama niya ang nag-iisang babaeng nagpatibok sa kanyang puso. 

It was so foolish of him to go with his Grandmother's plan. Alam niyang hindi makatarungan ang kanyang ginawa but somehow along the way, he fell on the trap that he created himself. Some people say just forgive and forget but truth be told, it was easier said than done. Akala niya nakalimot at napatawad na rin ng kanyang Lola ang ginawa ng Mommy ni Lucas na si Lucia. 

It was a scandalous history of their family that should be buried on its own grave. Pero hindi ang Lola niya. Donya Victorina was a headstrong woman, one that you can't mess up with. Matagal ng napatawad ni Tito Romano ang asawa nito. They were not happy with their marriage so what happened with the relationship was inevitable. 

He fell in love with Queennie, fast and hard. He tried to talk about it with his Grandma but she was so furious about it. She got hospitalized after having a heart attack. He was left with no choice. He couldn't forgive himself if his grandmother died because of his stupid actions. 

He intentionally hurt the person that he loved the most. With each tear that Queennie shed, the pain he felt inside was triple. He wanted to punch himself for hurting the love of his life. Tama si Lucas, pagsisisihan niya ang kanyang desisyon. 

Then Jewel came in the picture. His Grandma wanted this woman for him. Matalik na magkaibigan ang kanyang Lola at Lola ni Jewel. Kailangan niyang pakisamahan si Jewel dahil sa utos ng kanyang Lola. His Mom and Dad also approved of the matching. Nagngingitngit ang kanyang kalooban dahil hindi man lang tinanong ng mga ito kung okay sa kanya. 

Hindi niya kayang pigilan ang sarili kapag malapit na si Queennie. His heart pounded so hard in his chest that it hurt. 

It was their graduation that he last saw his Queen. He intentionally kissed Jewel. It wasn't the best decision he made but it was the least he could do to make her stay away so he could protect her. He didn't want anyone to threaten her safety so he had to do it otherwise something bad might happen to her or worse. 

Sa bilis ng pangyayari ay natagpuan na lamang niya ang sariling engaged na kay Jewel. She got pregnant and people assumed that it was his. He never tried it with her not when he was madly in love with his Queen. Kumalat ang balita na parang epidemya. He bet Queennie already knew about the rumors. 

She disappeared without a trace. Sinubukan niyang tanungin si Lucas kung nasaan si Queennie pero wala siyang makuhang sagot mula rito. He guessed he loved his sister more than him being his fool cousin. Lucas' loyalty was on her. Wala siyang nagawa kundi respetuhin ang desisyon ng pinsan. Lucas has every right to protect his sister after everything that happened. 

Nang mawala si Queennie sa buhay niya ay doon niya lamang napagtanto kung gaano siya ka gago. Isa siyang talunan at mahina dahil hindi niya kayang ipaglaban man lang ang babaeng mahal niya. That same day, he broke off the engagement. Wala na siyang pakialam kung ano ang kahihinatnan ng kanyang desisyon. Wala ng mawawala pa sa kanya dahil wala ng natira sa kanya. Later they found out that it wasn't his. At least Jewel took the courage to reveal the truth. 

Anim na taon ang lumipas at maraming nagbago. Para sa kanya napakabagal ng takbo ng oras. Maraming nagbago sa kanyang paligid pero feeling niya walang nagbago sa kanya maliban sa kanyang kawatan. 

He was hoping that one day, somewhere, he would bump into his Queen. How badly he wanted to ask for her forgiveness. He had no reason to justify his actions. 

And thanks God! Heaven heard his prayers. He met her again and he was beyond happy. Hindi parin siya makapaniwalang makakasama niya ang kanyang Reyna ng ganito. Hindi niya namalayang kumawala na ang kanyang mga luha na kanina pa niya pinipigilan. 

Lutian silently cried for the pain that he caused her through those years. His chest constricted upon thinking how he created her own miseries. Now, he has his chance to prove his worth and love. He has this last chance to make her happy. He vowed that her happiness would be his priority. Queennie deserve a lot more. 

He bit his lower lip and caressed her smooth cheek. Pinahid niya ang pumatak na luha sa pisngi nito mula sa kanya. Nagising tuloy ang kanyang mahal na asawa. Kaagad na bumalatay ang pag-aalala sa mga mata nito. 

"Lutian... what's wrong? Bakit ka umiiyak?" 

Nginitian niya ito at umiling. Walang salita na kumawala sa kanyang bibig. 

Kumalas ito ng yakap at umupo. Her eyes now were also teary eyed. 

"Lutian naman. Huwag mo akong takutin ng ganito," nagsusumamong sambit nito. 

She took him on her arms. His head lied helplessly on her chest sobbing. Her fingers combing his hair was very comforting. Plus her wonderful scent made him calm. 

"I sincerely apologize for the things I did to you in the past," he said after a long silence. "I'm sorry My Queen, please forgive me," his voice was rasped. 

"Ssshhh... it was all in the past now. No need to say sorry, and you don't have to ask for forgiveness," her voice broke and cried with him. 

"I'm s-orry... I'm so sorry..." he sobbed and his shoulders shook. 

They cried for quite sometime. Feeling the need to release everything. The stormy and raging seas came to a halt and replace with the gentle waves. 

"Hey we shouldn't be crying," she said in a cheery voice to lessen the tension. "What we need is a celebration!"

Kumalas ng yakap si Lutian sa asawa. Her eyes were a bit swollen and red from crying but she looked happy. He creased his forehead in confusion. 

"Celebrate what?" 

"You'll be a Daddy soon! We're having a baby!" 

Lutian was in shock but it was quick. He embraced her again and kissed her swiftly on her lips. 

"I love you My Queen," he breathed, their forehead touching. 

"I love you more," she whispered and smiled. 

They have a lifetime to celebrate.
