Miracle

Kahit nakapikit ang mga mata ni Queennie ay hindi niya magawang tuluyang makatulog. She didn't want to sleep. She wanted to savor every second with him.

Alam niyang hindi rin tulog si Lutian. Naririnig niya ang madalas na pagbuntong-hininga nito na wari'y maraming iniisip.

She opened her eyes at sakto namang kinuha nito ang isang kamay niya. Magkasalikop parin ang isa nilang kamay. Inilapit ni Lutian ang palad niya sa mukha nito. She inclined her head to his side and she saw his tired look.

Her palm felt so good on his face. May mumunting kuryente ang dumaloy mula sa kamay niya nang gawaran nito ng halik ang palad niya. She couldn't hide her smile and as if her fingers have minds on their own, she caressed his face in a gentle stroke.

Lutian opened his eyes and they stared at each other like they were the only person inside the bus. Pinagdikit nito ang noo nila at halos magkadikit na rin ang kanilang mga ilong. His manly scent made her head spin. She felt warm having him this close.

Napakunot ang noo niya nang may kinuha ito mula sa bulsa sa suot na jacket. Napatingin siya sa cellphone nito. She gave him a questioning look but Lutian just smiled at her.

She watched him as he opened his phone. She almost gasped when she saw his wallpaper. Mukha niya ang gamit nitong wallpaper. She couldn't contain her heat beat. She wanted to ask him about his wallpaper but she refrain herself.

Lutian tapped at the camera icon. So gusto nitong magselfie sila? Hmm... She bit her lower lip to prevent herself from smiling.

The front cam opened and he position the phone in front of them. Kinabig ni Lutian ang magkasalikop na kamay nila sa patungo sa dibdib nito kaya mas lalo siyang nadikit dito.

"Smile My Queen..." he murmured.

Her heart skipped as he uttered his endearment to her. She really missed that. She longed to hear that all this time.

She rested her head on his neck and smiled at the camera then he captured that moment. Sunod naman nitong ginawa ay hinalikan nito ang noo niya at kinuhanan ng camera.

After that, he closed his phone and slid it back to his jacket.

The bus stopped at the airport. Lutian once again stared at her eyes. He was hesitant to let go and she could sense it.

"It's okay," she whispered and gave him a reassuring smile.

"I'll go ahead. I'll see you soon..." he whispered back and quickly kissed her forehead

When he let go of her hand, she felt so empty. Parang biglang bumigat ang pakiramdam niya.

Isinuot ni Lutian ang hood ng jacket sa ulo nito at nakatungong lumabas ng bus. She waited a few minutes bago sumunod.

Safe naman silang nakarating ng Cebu. They checked in at the hotel in Cebu City. They have given a few hours to rest then they headed towards their destination. They visited the prestigious universities here in Cebu and also their libraries and historical spots. For their second day, they attended the symposium for education students coming from different schools.

For two days, hindi man lang sila nagkita. Iba kasi ang itinerary kada department. So she tried to keep herself busy para maibsan ang pangungulila rito.

Maagang natapos ang symposium. It was three in the afternoon at wala na silang gagawin pa. Nagpaalam ang ibang kasamahan niya na gumala. Mabuti at pinayagan sila pero dapat daw ay bago mag-alasais ng gabi ay nakabalik na sila sa hotel.
