Chapter 5- late night

Evers POV
After me and ethan got home i started to cook dinner. All i made was a simple stew but it would have to simmer for a bit so i went into my room and started my homework. I took out my environmental science book and was almost done chapter one when my phone lit up. It was a tex from an unknown number.

Unknown: hey:)
Me: um, whos this?
Unknown: natsu
Me: oh okay! Whats up?
I made natsu a contact in my phone.
Natsu: nothing really im just bored.
Me: lol sorry
Natsu: dont worry bout it. So what r u doing?
Me: homework
Natsu: sounds boring. Wanna hang?
Before i could reply to his text i got another message from another unknown number. It said,
Unknown number: whats up, ever?
Me: uh sorry, whos this?
Unknown number: sorry i shouldve told you. Its juvia, from science class.
I quickly made juvia a contact in my phone as well.
Me: oh thats cool! But if u dont mind me askin, howd u get my number?
Juvia: oh, gray sama told me!
Me: y does gray have my number?!
Juvia: dont worry its nothing like that! I would know. He got it from natsu
Me: oh
Me: that still doesnt explain why gray has my number
Before i could keep heckling juvia i got another text from natsu,
Natsu: soo??
I didnt like having multiple chats open at once so i asked both natsu and juvia if i could make a group chat and they said yes.
Me: okay now we can all talk on one chat
Natsu: cool! So like i asked before, would u want to hang?
Juvia: will gray sama be there?
Me: ???
Natsu: i can ask gray to hang... I guess
Juvia: that would be lovely!
Me: i guess ill hang if juvia is
Juvia: and i will if gray sama is there
Natsu: well then let me add gray to the chat.
In a second another number was added to the chat that i can only assume was gray, so i made him a contact as well.
Natsu: yo ice boy
Gray: what do you want?
Juvia: gray sama!!!!!! <3
Gray: why is she in the chat?
Me: hi
Natsu: were all here
Gray: why are you guys bothering me?
Natsu: want to hang?
Gray: why would i?
Juvia: please! Gray sama please come out!
Me: come on, itll be fun
Natsu: dont be a bore
Gray: whatever, where?
Juvia: want to sit in the park? Ill bring blankets!
Gray: alright
Me: care if ethan comes?
I felt bad going to sit with friends and leaving ethan behind so i had to at least ask.
Natsu: sure, if he wants to.
Juvia: alright ill meet you guys in the center of the park in half an hour
Gray: alright sounds good
-gray and juvia have left this group-
Natsu: ill see you soon ever
Me: see you

After i got off the phone i put on my shoes and jacket. When i walked down stairs ethan was sitting at the kitchen table doing work. "I see youre actually doing homework," i said to him. He looked up quickly before going back to his work. "Well would you want to go to the park?" I asked him. "Why would i want to do that?" He replied. "Because natsu, gray and juvia are going to be there," i said. He looked at me and then down at his book before replying, "no im good," he said. "Just dont be out too late," he told me. "Well ill leave dinner on the stove for you," i told him as i was walking out the door. "Okay, be careful!" He told me. The park was only a few blocks from our house so i didnt need to walk far. Once i got there i saw juvia already sitting on a blanket under the large sola tree. "Hello ever," she said politely as i approached her. "Hey, the guys arent here yet?" I asked her as i sat next to her. "No but thats good." She told me. I looked at her confused before she went on, "i want to talk to you anout something," she said. I was confused but nodded for her to continue, "i was wondering," she got quieter as she talked more so i needed to move closer to hear her. "Would you and natsu go on a double date with me and gray sama?" She asked me. "Wait- what?!" I was so confused. "Well natsu seems to like you and i can see you like him and i need an excuse to ask gray sama out on a date and-" i stopped her. "Who says you need a reason to ask him?" She looked up at me before replying, "no one but i just dont know if i could do it alone and i have no idea how to make sure he is having a good time and-" i stopped her again. "Chill out," i said. "Even if me and natsu do go that doesnt mean it will be a real date," i explained. "Maybe not in your eyes!" She told me. "Whatever, ill think about it," i told her. "Oh perfect!" She said. Before we could talk more we noticed the guys approaching, "hello darling!" Juvia spoke. "Hey natsu," i greeted him. We were only hanging out talking for about half an hour when my stomach started to hurt. I got up and tried to say goodbye, "well guys, i have to go-" before i could leave natsu stood up, "why are you leaving?" He asked me. "Well i havent eaten dinner and im starting to get really-" before i could finish juvia stood up proudly, "gray sama! Natsu!" She spoke shyly. "Will you two boys do me and ever the honor of taking us on a double date?" She asked. 'What?!?!?!? I told you id think about it!!!!!!' I looked at juvia furiously but she returned it with an innocently sweet expression. "Like- like a date?" Gray asked. Juvia nodded furiously. "Well sure but i cant answer for natsu and ever-" gray got cut off by natsu, "yeah ill take you on a date!" He held my hands excitedly as he spoke. I looked over at juvia who winked at me. Soon enough we were all sitting in a cafe drinking coffee and eating pie. "Well its not exactly dinner," i said. "I told you i wouldve bought you real food," natsu told me. I shrugged, "yeah but everyone else is getting pie, i wouldve felt wierd," i answered. The whole tome we have been in this cafe we have been learning more about eachother and really bonding. "Well i really do have to go now," i said as i stood up, "its getting late," i told them. Juvia stood up with me, "me too," she said. Natsu and gray paid the bill before following us out of the cafe. "Ill walk you home," natsu told me. "You dont have to-" i was about to decline but he stopped me, "i am, to make sure you get home safe," he said. As he said this gray turned to juvia, "i can walk you home, if youd like," he told her. She nodded and grabbed his hand. "Bye gray! Juvia!" I said as we walked away. "Goodbye guys!" Juvia said back. The walk to my house was short but quiet. We didnt talk much but natsu didnt manage to grab my hand as we were walking and intertwine our fingers. I never pulled away, maybe i wanted to hold his hand. When we got out front of my house i stopped. I turned around to say goodbye to natsu, "well, goodnight." I told him. He nodded his head and started to walk away but i grabbed his shoulder and made him turn back around. Once he was facing me i brought him closer to me and hugged him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and slowly i felt his arms snake around my waist. 'This feels really nice,' i thought. I stayed like this for a moment before pulling away. When i did i noticed that his face was bright red, "im sorry im just- glad i met you," i told him. I began to walk away even though i heard him say, "i am too."

Ethans POV
After ever left i got done some of my homework and cleaned the house a bit. After that i just ate dinner. I had just finished dinner and turned on the tv when i got a text from an unknown number,

Unknown number: hey are you coming to the studen council again tmr?
Me: sorry, whos this
Unknown number: oh, its jellal sorry i didnt tell u
I quickly made him a contact
Me: oh sure, it seems chill
Jelly: cool cant wait. We need another dude on the council.
Me: alright see ya tmr
Jelly: bye dude

Once i looked up from my phone i noticed ever and natsu out front through the window. I watched as they were talking, he was about to walk away when she grabbed his shoulders. 'What is she doing?' I kept watching, i was curious. After she stopped him she pulled him into a tight hug. 'That asshole!' I thought. 'Stay calm,' i reminded myself. They hugged for a good minute before ever walked into the house.

Evers POV
When i got into the house i closed the door and leaned my back against it. I thought to myself for a moment before a rude voice interupted me, "dont think i didnt see that, young lady!" Ethan told me. "What are you talking about?" I feigned innocence. "You were hugging pinky out there," he pointed towards our front yard. "Dont lie to me," he finished. I looked down and expected him to start yelling at me but instead he pat my head, "dont worry," he told me. "At least you didnt pick a complete asshole." He said. "You should go to bed, we have school tommorow," he finally said. I nodded and walked up to my room. I changed into pjs and got under my blankets. When i did this i recieved two consecutive texts,

Juvia: thankyou so so so so much for tonight!
Me: no problem, just let me agree to it, next time?
Juvia: of course, see u tmr
Me: see ya

Natsu:i had alot of fun tonight
Me: me too
Natsu: we should do it again sometime
Me: are you asking me on a date? ;)

I noticed that i was alot more confident over text than in real life.

Natsu: not yet but maybe some day:)
Me: lol its ok i was joking
Natsu: oh
Me: doesnt mean i wont say yes if u do ask
Natsu: :D
Me: lol ur silly. Ill see ya tmr
Natsu: ya. Goodnight
Me: night

After i finished texting them i went to bed.
