Chapter 50- christmas party

Ethans POV
"Is that all we need?" Lisanna asked mira. Mira nodded in response, "ill order the pizza when everyone gets here and evergreen is bringing the wine," she answered. "Oh that reminds me! Ever is bringing a bottle of good wine for tonight," i told them. "Sounds good, evergreen usually brings the cheaper wines," elfman told me, making me chuckle. The whole house was decorated with green and red streamers and stars all over. Lisanna also added multiple bouquets of red roses and pointsettas.  I was about to compliment the decorations when the doorbell rang. "Oh i think thats levy and gajeel," lisanna said as she stood. "Hey guys!" Mira said as they entered. "I see you brought your gifts," elfman said as gajeel sat the bags on the table by the door. "Yeah one for each of our polyannas and one for eachother," he answered. "Oh that reminds me! Did ever get the- eh? Eh?" Levy asked me with a wink. I nodded, "yeah she did and it was pretty wicked," i answered making everyone look at us with confused faces. "Youll see when we open the gifts," i answered. We talked for a little bit more before the door opened to revel laxus and his group, "here comes the booze!" Evergreen said as she set a few bottles of wine on the table. "I hope you arent too disappointed with our gifts," laxus said as he put a bunch of gift bags on the table. It only took about an hour for everyone else to show up with their gifts and now we were all sat in the livingroom. "So when can we open our gifts?" Ever asked excitedly. "Wow chill out," i said, noticing her get worked up. "Soon, lets get pizza first," mira said. We all agreed on plain pizzas and mira ordered for us. "How about we watch a christmas movie until then?" Erza asked. "We should watch its a wonderful life!" Levy said happily. "Uh but thats so boring!" Natsu said. "Plus its on every year!" Gray said. "How about we watch something different?" Wendy asked. "How about something like elf?" I asked making everyone look towards me. "What? Its christmas," i said. Everyone looked around before erza answered, "well i guess if theres no objections," she said. "Okay, elf it is!" Lisanna said turning it on. About twenty minutes through the movie there was a knock on the door so me and mira got up and got all the pizzas. When we brought them back in the movie was paused and lisanna was handing out plates and napkins. Once we all got pizzas and sat back down the movie resumed. We all laughed along as the full grown man dressed in an elf costume sung, "im singing~" ever, wendy and juvia began singing along, "im singing in a store! Im in a store! And im singing!" All three of them sang with him, making the rest of us laugh in response. "This movie is great," ever said as she leaned her head onto natsu shoulder. "Yeah it always makes me laugh," juvia said inching closer to gray. "That why i can always watch it! Its awesome," wendy agreed. We finished the movie and two bottles of wine (not including the good one that ever brought). "How about i crack open that chardoney and we open our gifts?" Ever said as the credits rolled on. "Yeah lets!" Erza said standing up. "We need to do our polyanna first!" Mira said as everyone rushed over to the table. "Very well, shall we read who got who?" Jellal asked making mira nod. "Everyone shut up and listen!" Erza yelled after everyone grabbed their bags off the table. Everyone went silent and looked towards erza, "i will read off the who got who and we will open them in that order!" She said. "Okay lets go then!" Ever said with an excited wendy and juvia nodding behind her. "First up, mira you can give your gift to laxus!" Erza said. Mira smiled and handed laxus a decent sized christmas bag, "open it!" Mira said happily. Laxus nodded and began opening it as we all watched. He pulled away miras tissue paper to reveal the black headphones that had a design of lightning. He inspected them for a second before putting them over his ears, "they feel great and i needed a new pair anyway. Thanks mira i like them alot," he said and gave her a quick hug. "Those are really nice," fried told mira. "They didnt cost alot, did they?" Evergreen asked makin elfman nudge her, "oh the price doesnt matter," mira giggled. "Okay now laxus, yoy can give your gift to juvia. "Oh okay," laxus said before handing juvia a huge christmas bag. "Wow this is quite big," juvia said as she looked at the bag. "What the hell could you have gotten her?" Gray asked. "Well let her open it and youll see," fried said with a smirk, signalling that he knew what it was. "Well its a few smaller items so.." laxus trailled off and juvia began going through the bag. "Oh this is so soft!" She said as she pulled out a blue robe. "Keep going," laxus said. Juvia pulled out a blue towel and a blue one piece bathing suit. "Wow this is adorable," juvia said. "You can thank fried for that," laxus admitted making us chuckle. "A couple more" fried urged her on. Juvia pulled out three bottles, "water proof sunscreen," she read what the bottle were, "wow!" She said as she looked at the other two. "This one is a conditioner that will protect my hair from the chlorine," she said as she held up one of the bottles. "And this one will protect my skin from the chlorine," she finished. "Wow these are awesome. Thankyou laxus," she said giving him a quick and slightly awkward hug. "No problem, it was easy to shop for someone who swims so much," he answered. "Now juvia, you can give your gift to natsu," erza said. "Ooh im excited about this!" Juvia said as she handed natsu a small bag. Natsu took no time to grab the bag of cookies and chocolates that were in the christmas bag, "you do know how much i love my food," he said with a huge grin. "And you have to look at the card!" Juvia said. Natsu nodded and opened the card. It was a regular christmas card but it had a gift card inside. "Oh my god, juvia! This is the best!" Natsu said excited as he hugged juvia. I noticed gray and ever smirking at eachother in agreeance over their significant others excitment. "It was no problem natsu, i figured you would like it," she answered as he released her. "But this is too much! A hundred dollars could feed me at the cafe for weeks!" He said. "I know, thats why i got it for you, plus i figured youd want to bring ever," she said. "Wow juvia, its great," he said again admiring the gift card for food. "Now natsu," erza said snapping natsu out of his trance, "give your gift to evergreen," she said. "Oh wow, i cant wait to see what natsu got me," evergreen said, obviously excpecting something horrendous. Natsu handed evergreen a box with christmas paper on it and nodded, "now dont hit me if you hate it, i had some help so it wasnt just me," natsu said as he sat back down, making us all fear what it was. Evergreen peeled the paper away and opened the box to reveal a light green gown with white beads around the edges. She inspected it for a second before looking at the tag, "this is...actually not bad at all. But how did you know my dress size?" As she asked this elfman turned his face away from her, "oh well uh- it was- uh! It was elfman okay? He told me your dress size!" Natsu explained making us all laugh. "Im impressed natsu, thats quite tasteful," erza said. "Well he said he had help so i assume i can thank you, ever?" Evergreen said making ever shake her head. "No i didnt help him. But it is a cute dress," she said. "My lips are sealed on who helped me but, enjoy," natsu said. "Well- t-thanks natsu," evergreen said. It seemed like she didnt say thankyou very often. "Well, now evergreen, you can give your gift to bickslow," erza said. "Oh ive been waiting for this!" Evergreen said as she pointed towards a huuge box on the table. "What the hell! Thats bigger than juvias was!" Gray said noting the size. "Yeah well, its heavy as all hell so," evergreen answered. "Okay well i guess- ill open it.." bickslow said as he began peeling the paper off the box. It was a normal cardboard box that bickslow opened, "really evergreen? This- this actually isnt bad," he said. "What is it?" Jellal asked. "Well first off she got me a new, bigger cage for my babies," he answered making a few of us exchange confused glances. "Your babies?" Ever asked. "Oh, sorry, my parots," bickslow answered. "You have parots?" I asked. "Yeah, he has four cute birds. Theyre so colourful!" Lisanna told me. "Plus she got me a huge bag of food for them," he answered. "Well i wasnt sure what else would be good," evergreen admitted. "Thanks evergreen! Its a rocking gift!" He said as he hugged her, obviously making her uncomfortable. "Okay bickslow give your gift to levy!" Erza said. "Oh this one was easy!" He said handing levy a box with christmas paper on it. Levy wasted no time pulling the wrapping off the reveal three books stacked on top of one another. "Oh. My. Goooosh!" Levy screamed and quickly hugged bickslow, making him stumble back. "Oh- oh sorry-" levy said as she released bickslow and stepped back. "So what are the books?" Lucy asked, interested. "Oh well its the complete works of william shakespere, edgar allen poe and the count of monte cristo!" Levy said. "Oh my! Those are good finds," lucy said. "Oh i love the count of monte cristo!" Ever said gettig their attention. "Youve read it?" Levy asked. Ever nodded, "the best part is how-" erza shut them up with one clearing of her throat, "now levy you can give your gift to fried," erza said. "Ooh im so excited about this!" Levy said picking up what looked like a huge stack of books with wrapping paper around it. "There are thirty in total," she said proudly as she handed it to fried. Fried pulled away the paper to reveal what we all expected, a row of books. "Thirty books?" He asked. "Well these are all the books that youve told me you wanted to read over the years. Ive kept a list and it came out to 36 books," she answered. "Wow you actually wrote down all the books i wanted to read?" He asked as he looked at the books. "Yeah! If someone wants to read something ill do anything to help them and what a better time than now?" She said happily. "Wow levy this is so thoughtful, thankyou," fried said giving levy a small hug. "Now fried, give your gift to lisanna," erza said. Fried nodded and handed lisanna a small box. Lisanna smiled and pulled away the christmas wrapping to reveal a box for a digital phote frame. "A digital picture frame?" She asked as she began opening the box. "Yes but ive already filled it with great photos," he said as she took it out of the box and turned it on. The first picture it showed was that of lisanna and elfman surrounded by what looked like first graders. It slowly switched to a photo of lisanna, elfman and mira, before it could switch to the next photo she looked up and was about to say something when fried spoke, "just look for another moment," he said. Lisanna nodded and looked down at the photo that was now displayed of mira, lisanna, elfman, laxus, bickslow, evergreen and fried all smiling. The next photo was of all of us on the swim team next to coach aquarius smiling. It went through a few more photos of lisanna with friends in different places but it switched to a picture that made mira and lisanna both gasp. I looked closer and saw an older looking photo of what looked like a young mira, elfman and baby lisanna being held by a wite haired women that resembles mira, next to the woman was their father except younger. "You- how did you-" "elfman got the photo for me," fried explained. "Thankyou so much fried! I love it," lisanna said as she hugged him. "Lisanna, you can give your gift to gray," erza told her. Lisanna nodded and giggled as she handed gray a christmas bag, "what? Is it something funny?" Gray asked. "Just look," lisanna told him. Gray sweat dropped when he pulled out a little plush doll that looks like juvia, "you didnt-" he said. "Oh but i did, keep going," lisanna said with a smirk. Gray kept the sweatdrop and he pulled out a towel with juvias face on it and finally a tshirt that said, 'if lost return to juvia' "oh no," he said as he pulled out another tshirt thay said, 'i am juvia,' "this is yours" gray said as he handed it to juvia. "You like it?" Lisanna asked. Gray rolled his eyes, "it was- cool, thanks lisanna," he said he put the stuff back into the bag. "Gray time to give your gift to- oh! Me!" Erza said happily. "Okay but like natsu said, please dont hit me if you hate it," gray said as he handed erza a similar box to than that of evergreens. Erza looked at it suspiciously before ripping the paper off and opening the box. Erza took out of the box a long dark blue gown that was designed with white sequins all around the edges like on evergreens. "This is a great dress gray. I now see who helped natsu," she said as she foled the dress again. "Well- uh yeah. So you like it?" Gray asked. Erza nodded, "yes its nice, thankyou gray. I wont even ask who gave you my dress size," she said as she glared at jellal. "Now ill give cana her gift," erza said handing cana a bag. Cana ripped the tissue paper aside and smiled widely, "oh erza! Howd you know?" She said as she held up a blender. "Really? A blender?" Natsu asked unimpressed. "Yes a blender! I knew she needed one," erza answered. "And boy were you right, i cant make margaritas without this baby, oh and this is a good one!" Cana said happily. "Im glad you like it cana, now you can give your gift to wendy," erza said. "Oh yeah! I had some help with this one," she said as she handed wendy a card. "Just a card?" Lucy asked her, clearly unimpressed. "Dont get your panties in a twist, just let the girl open it," cana said. Wendy opened the car and her smile grew wide, "oh my- cana how much did you- are you sure?" Wendy asked. "Yeah im sure, go have fun, girlie!" Cana said. "She got me two season passes to the amusement park!" Wendy said happily. "Thats awesome wendy, sounds fun," gray said. "And you can take your boyfriend," cana said making wendy turn pink. "No- you dont have to wendy, those are your tickets," romeo told her. "Well its- its okay i want to take you," she answered. "Now wendy, your gift to jellal," erza said. "Oh yeah, here ya go jellal!" Wendy said handing jellal a box. Jellal smiled and pulled the paper away to reveal a telescope on the box. "A- a telescope?" Jellal asked. Wendy nodded, "iheard you like stargazing so i figured you would like this," wendy said. "Thats true, thankyou so much wendy, this is so nice," jellal said opening his arms to give wendy a hug. They gave eachother a quick hug before erza spoke, "okay jellal, your gift to lucy," she said. "Oh right, here you go," he said as he handed lucy a tiffany bag. "Tiffanny??" She asked excited. "Nothing too fancy," he responded.
