Chapter 31- mall time!

Evers POV
Me and erza spent the night being waited on by jellal and ethan. We had them making us tea and bringing us snacks while we watched movies and had a fun time. Erza and jellal ended up staying over so we all went to school together today. "So ever, are you ready for homecoming?" Juvia asked as she took a bite of her sandwich. "Not really, im still not one hundred percent sure what im wearing," i admitted. "Im sure youll look amazing no matter what." Natsu told me. "Besides it isnt until saturday, isnt that plenty of time?" Gray asked making me and juvia both roll our eyes at him. "Would any of you girls like to help me pick out my dress?" I asked everyone. "Well i still have to get mine, so ill come." Wendy said. "Id love to help you pick out your dress!" Juvia told me, "me too," erza said. "Well me and mira still need our dresses," lisanna told me. "What about you guys?" I asked lucy and cana. "Sorry, we were going to go see a movie later," lucy told me. "Let me see what you girls get though," cana said. "Well send you pictures later," mira said. "What about you, evergreen?" Wendy asked. Evergreen thought for a moment, "no thankyou i already have a dress," she said. "Okay well that sounds like a plan, meet out front after school?" Erza asked. "Sounds good to me," i said. Everyone agreed and we began heading to our clubs. Swimming was just having fun today since our next match wouldnt be until after the winter break. "Are you going to head to child development?" I asked lisanna as we were leaving the pool. Lisanna nodded, "yeah. But ill still be there afterwards," she said. "Me and graysama will wait for you guys," juvia said. "Wait, the guys are coming?" I asked. Juvia shrugged, "i thought so, but im not sure," she answered. "Well if they are we should split up, i want some time with my girls," i said motioning towards her and lisanna. "Aw ever, youre sweet," lisanna said, "but im sorry i have to get to child development, see you in an hour!" Lisanna said as she walked off. As me and juvia walked to the gym she told me about her dress, "its a dark blue color that fades into a sky blue. It is long sleeved and comes down far but has a slit in the leg of it," she explained. "That sounds really cute," i told her as we entered the gym. The guys werent fighting like they usually were, instead they were all on the floor doing push up. "Welcome ladies!" Igneel said as we entered. "Juvia, come here! Gray called out. Juvia smiled happily as she walked over to him, "yes gray sama?". "I want you to prove that im stronger than coal for brains over there!" Gray yelled while looking at natsu. "Yeah right, you know im better than you!" Natsu yelled making me giggle. "Well how could i help you, gray sama?" Juvia asked. Gray smirked, "sit on my back," he told her. Juvia blushed slightly, "okay gray sama, if that will make you happy," she said as she slowly sat onto his back. I could see him begining to struggle at first but once juvia was still he kept doing push ups normally. "Ever get over here!" Natsu yelled. "Please dont make me get into this," i said as i walked closer to him. "You guys are stupid," laxus mumbled. "Now now, its just a little friendly competition," jellal said. "I agree with laxus, you guys are dumb," ethan told them. "Yeah they are. Because no matter how many girls they lift, im the strongest." Gajeel said. "Youre not even in this, butt out!" Natsu said making me roll my eyes. "How long are you guys going to be doing push ups?" I asked. "Until we cant," igneel answered. "So obviously none of them are going to forfiet," jellal explained. "Ever, get on my back! Dont worry, itll be no problem," natsu told me. "Im sure it wont be, but this doesnt prove anything!" I explained. "Please just sit on my back," he said finally asking nicely. I felt my self give in, "fine, whatever." I said as i lowered myself onto his back. I could feel the heat from his skin immediatly. "How long have you guys been doing this?" I finally asked as i sat fully resting on natsus back. "Uh, about twenty minutes," jellal said. "Twenty minutes? Isnt that a long time to be continuously doing pushups??" Juvia asked. "Not really," gajeel said. "Besides, it builds endurance and it lets me see how far these boys can go," igneel said. "But youre doing them too..." i commented. "Well yeah, i have to show these boys that im better than them!" Igneel chuckled. "So hes just like the rest of them..." jellal mumbled. "Hey dont lump me in with those idiots!" Laxus said. "Me either!" Ethan said. "Youre just jealous because me and gray are obviously better than all of you," natsu said. "Whatever," i heard laxus mumbled as jellal chuckled. "You know thats not true!" Ethan said starting to do pushups faster. "Yeah because i am the strongest," gajeel said. "Bull shit!" Ethan yelled. "And here we go...." i heard laxus say as jellal began laughing. Jellal laughed so much until he collasped onto the floor, "one down!" Igneel said as jellal landed on the floor. "Ha! Were already better than you!" Natsu said. "You guys are taking this too seriously," i said. "Yeah im out. Getting lazy," laxus said, sitting down. "We even beat laxus!" Gray said, starting to breathe heavier. "See, this proves nothing," i said while juvia nodded. "How about you all stop now?" Juvia asked. "Why would i stop? I have a chance to shut you idiots up!" Ethan said. "Ethan! Youre not helping!" I said. This went on for another ten minutes until ethan and gajeel stopped at the same time. "Now you guys are just being stupid," gajeel said. "I know, right?" Ethan agreed. "Guys, please just stop already!" I said. "No can do. Gotta be the best," natsu said. "Funny, because im the best," gray said. "Gray sama, please," juvia said. "Whatever, but we wont be helping you anymore," i said standing up. Juvia stood up too, "i agree, im not going to help you with this, anymore." Juvia told gray. "Uh fine, whatever natsu im done. Its not as fun without the girls," gray said making juvia blush. "Alright natsu you won, you can stop now," i said kneeling next to him. "Nope. Still gotta... beat...my dad," natsu said. "Really? You dont need to beat him dude," gray said. "Doesnt matter, i will." Natsu replied. "Igneel, why dont you just stop that way hell give in," i said. "No can do, gotta assert my dominance," igneel said. "You guys are so childish!" Juvia said. "Natsu please," i said getting closer to his face. I could see him sweating and panting more with every pushup. "Natsu..." he didnt reply, just kept doing pushups. I waited a moment before making him stop in his tracks. Quickly i leaned my face in and kissed him. He stopped moving when i caught his lips and i felt him give in. He cupped my cheek in his hands and i finally felt him sit up. When i pulled away he was still panting and super sweaty from all the push ups but he gave me a light smile. "Sorry...." he finally said. "Its okay. Just know that you dont need to be the best. Youre my favorite no matter what," i told him. I heard gajeel chuckled from behind me, "you gotta a problem with something?" Natsu asked him, offended. Gajeel kept laughing, "that was so cheesy ever," gray said making me blush, "sh- shut up!" I yelled at them. Just then to gym doors opened and mira walked in, "what have you guys been doing? Youre late, erzas upset." Mira said to ethan and jellal. "Uh oh- thats suck," i said. "Good luck jellal," gajeel said. "Boy am i glad im not them right now," natsu said as he stood up. "Well go get dressed," igneel told them. The guys walked away as me and juvia walked up to mira, "are they that late?" I asked. Mira giggled, "not really, but erza is upset." Mira answered. "Well we did catch ethan and jellal spying on us last night," i told them. This made juvia gasp and mira giggle, "you think jellal would know by now not to be that stupid," mira said. "Why would they need to stalk you?" Juvia asked making me shrug. "I dont even know! Which is weird!" I admitted. I was about to explain more but the guys came out and approached us, "okay lets go before erza freaks," jellal said. "Yeah, she can be scary," ethan said following behind him and mira. "Ready for photography?" Natsu asked me. I nodded, "i wonder what out assignment could be this week," i thought. When we got into photographry mr. Reedus was packing up his stuff, "bonjour children! Im so terribly sorry but i have to run out. Youre assignment is to take picture of the homecoming dance, due next monday," he said as he was running around grabbing his stuff. "Uh okay, do you need help with anything?" I asked. "Why are you in such a rush?" Natsu asked. "I have a meeting with the local art museum," he said grabbing his bag. "Cant talk, got to go, sorry. Farewell, children!" He said as he ran out the door, "good luck!" I called out to him. Me and natsu looked at eachother and shrugged before going outside. When we walked out the front doors i noticed people sitting on the bench, "hey guys!" I said as we approached juvia and wendy. "Hey ever, you just get out of photography?" Wendy asked me as we sat down on the bench next to them. I nodded, "yeah, mr. Reedus was all worked up about going to the art museum for something," natsu explained. "Oh! He told me that they were looking into buying some of his paintings," juvia said casusally. "Did you...ask him?" I asked. "Well not really i just.... mr. Reedus and i are very close," juvia said. "Uh- like what kind of close?" Wendy asked. "Yeah that sounds creepy when you say it like that," natsu said. "Its not like that!" Juvia exclaimed. "Its just that... mr. Reedus was the one who taught how to express my emotions though art. He really got me interested in painting and he was the first person at this school to be nice to me," juvia said. "Okay well that sounds fine..." natsu said. "Thats actually really sweet!" Wendy said. "Well that nice. And i hope they like his artwork," i said while juvia nodded. "So natsu, will you be joining us at the mall?" Juvia asked. Natsu shrugged, "im not sure, i still need to get my outfit for the dance but i dont want to ruin your girls day," natsu replied. "Well we could always shop seperately. We could just meet up, eat and all leave together," i explained. Natsu shrugged, "maybe if the other guys are going, wheres gray?" Natsu asked juvia. "Oh, gray sama had to visit some family, he told me hed like to introduce them to me at christmas," she answered. "I dont mean to be rude but...i thought gray was in foster care?" I asked. Juvia nodded, "well yes but his foster mother did have a daughter, plus no matter what gray sama says i know that he cares deeply for lyon as well," juvia said. "Oh yeah! Actually i think ive met that chick before!" Natsu said making us all turn to him. "Youve met grays....sister?" I asked. Natsu nodded, "i think so..,,what was her name?" Natsu looked like he was really deep in thought, "ul....ur....ult...ultimate! No no...." natsu kept mumbling things like this for the next few minutes. "So ever, do you know what kind of dress youd like to get?" Wendy asked me. "Hmm well it seems like everyone is getting gowns so id like to stick with that. I also really like form fitting dresses," i said. "Im sure well find something, i want a big ball gown!" Wendy said. "We can go to the dress shop where i got my gown!" Juvia said happily. "Now we just have to wait for mira, lisanna and erza," wendy said. "Oh, natsu, do my a favor?" I asked handing him my camera. "Sure whats up?" He replied casually. "Take a picture of us please? Not for photography, this is just for my collection," i said. "Okay, i guess," natsu said as he stood up. Me and wendy came closer to juvia to get into the shot, "gorgeous! Beautiful! Stunning!" Natsu said as he snapped photos of us, "okay natsu thats good," i said through laughs, "but the camera was loving you guys!" Natsu said handing my back my camera, "well natsus always good for a smile," wendy said. "Can i take a picture of you guys?" Juvia asked. "Us? I guess," i said handing juvia my camera. I slid closer to wendy and pulled natsu along with me, juvia took a photo before speaking again, "now how about the happy couple?" Juvia said going into shipping mode and making me blush. "Uh okay," i said turning myself more towards natsu. "Pick her up! Spind her around! Make her laugh! Kiss her!" Juvia was shouting out all the commands and taking pictures. Natsu did everything she said with a huge grin while wendy laughed at us. "Perfect! Now a kiss!" Juvia said. Me and natsu looked at eachother and i thought, 'its just a kiss, no big deal'. But for some reason my heart was pounding faster than usual. I could feel my face heating up as natsu inched closer to me. His lips connected with mine and i felt myself melt into his touch. We only kissed for a moment before natsu pulled away, we both looked at eachother and i could see a blush on his face. "Ever i, ive been meaning to tell you that i uh- ever i-" natsu was cut off, "hey guys! Why so quiet?!" Ethan asked as him, mira, jellal, erza and lisanna approached us. "You ruined it!" Juvia yelled making me confused, 'what did he ruin?' Before i could ask natsu what he was going to say he jumped up and yelled at ethan. "What the hell dude! That wouldve been the perfect oppurtunity! I think youre doing this on purpose!" Natsu yelled. "Doing wha-" i was about to asked when juvia jumped in, "youve done this more than once ethan?" Juvia asked sounding angry. "What are we talking about?" Erza asked, "ill tell you about it later," jellal told her. "I didnt think i was doing anything! Maybe you should pick better times to conf-" ethan was yelling but natsu and juvia both tackled him making jellal crack up. I looked over at wendy confused and she looked just as confused as me. "Shut the hell up!" Natsu yelled. "Youre going to ruin it!" Juvia yelled. "I wasnt trying to- get the hell off me!" Ethan screamed making them both back up. "Okay okay, i get it guys. Jeez," ethan said brushing off his shirt. "What was that all about?" I finally asked. "Well um-" ethan started to speak but natsu cut him off, "so guys do you want to come to the mall with me? The girls can have their day while we all bond!" Natsu said. "Uh sure," ethan replied, "i guess i go," jellal said. "Sounds like a plan!" Mira said happily. "To the mall!" Lisanna said. When we got to the mall we split into groups, we all went to the dress store together. "I just love this one!" Wendy said holding up a light blue gown with white accents. "It is lovely," juvia commented. "Have you tried it on?" Mira asked. Wendy shook her head, "no but i think i will, can one of you guys help me?" She asked. I was about to offer but erza spoke up, "ill go with you. I dont need to worry about a dress anyway, i have mine," she said as her and wendy walked towards the fitting rooms. "What about this one, mira?" Lisanna asked. Lisanna held a dress that faded from light purple, to dark purple to almost a black color. It was a huge, ball gown. "I think its amazing!" Mira said while me and juvia nodded. "Okay, im gonna go try it on," she said before walking away. "And then there were two," juvia said as me and mira still looked through the shelves. "I really like this one, but is it too.....showy?" I asked holding it it. It was an a-line while gown with a slit down both sides. The stomach, and back were made of a red lace material and it was somewhat see through. "I think its adorable!" Juvia squealed. "Go! Go try it on!" Mira said. When i got to the fitting rooms wendy and lisanna were both in their dresses, "you guys look amazing!" I told them, "you really think so?" Wendy asked, "thankyou ever," lisanna replied. I went into the closest stall and got into the dress, i just needed a little help. Instead of sleeves the dress just has two pieces of fabric to be ties behind your neck. I walked out where the other girls were and spoke, "can someone tie this for me?" I asked. Erza approached me, "this is a lovely dress," she said as she tied it. "Im sure natsu will love it," lisanna said making me blush. "Well what anout yoy wendy? Is romeo going to be your date?" I asked, making her face turn pink. "N-no! Were just going as friends," she explained. "Oh im sure," lisanna said through giggles. I looked in the mirror and examined myself when erza was done tying it. I didnt notice it before but the slit on the sides has red fabric lining it as well. "I love this dress!" I finally said. "Great so the only one left is mira," lisanna said. "Im gonna get back into my normal clothes," wendy said standing up, "yeah me too," lisanna said while i nodded. After we all got dressed we went back out with mira and juvia. "Uh erza, could you help me with something?" I asked her quietly. "Sure ever, what can i do?" She said. "Uh, i need to find so,ething thast appropriate for...court," i said. Erza nodded in understanding, "well be right back," erza said before we walked away. I followed erza to where they had the pantsuits. "Ew pantsuits," i said. Erza chuckled, "well it is more proffessional," erza said as she picked out a plain black one. "Here, cant be too flashy in a court," she said. I nodded and took it. When we got back mira had finally picked a gown. She had decided on a large ball gown with white and yellow flower designs on it and lace all up the back of it. After we all bought our gown we got shoes and any other accesories we needed. Once we were done we headed to the food court and saw the guys already sitting at a table with a few bags. "Took you guys long enough," ethan said as we approached. "Can we eat now? Im starving!" Natsu said. We decided to go to the diner that was right putside of the food court, we all ordered something completly different. "How can put that much hot sauce on something?! Ethan asked, looking at natsu. "Cause its good," natsu said with a full mouth. "Says the guy whos eating just ice cream," i said. "Hey dont judge me! Besides! Erza only got cake!" Ethan said. "You better not be talking badly about my cake baby," erza warned him. "At least me and jellal got normal food," i said looking at our burgers. "Hey, my food is normal!" Juvia said. "A snow cone is not normal food," i told her. "Are you just forgettimg about our food?" Mira said. "You guys got nothing but breakfast foods! Pancakes and waffles!" I said pointing to their plates. "Thats normal," lisanna said. "Not for this time of the day," i said while jellal nodded. "Wendys is normal," jellal said. I looked towards wendy bowl of soup and grilled chesse, "okay yeah. Thats normal," i said. When we finished our food i spoke up, "let me get the tab, please." I said. Everyone began speaking at once, talking and yelling over eachother. No one wanted the other one to pay."okay guys...." i tried to st them up. "Shut up!" Erza finally almost yelled. "Heres the deal, first one to touch the check on the count of three has to pay," erza said. "No fair! Jellal and ever are the closest to it!" Natsu said making me chuckle. "Okay fine, wendy think of a number between one and ten," erza said. "Uh...okay. Its-" she was about to say it when erza put her hand up," we will all guess a number and whiever is closest can choose who pays the bill," erza said. "Uhg, i guess this is better," ethan said. "I trust wendy enough, okay," natsu said. "Well start with ever," erza said motioning towards me. "Uh okay- my guess is....seven!" I said. As soon as i said this wendy gasped, "how did you-" she was shocked, "wait i got it? Hell yeah!" I said picking up the check and taking out my wallet. "Thats so not fair!" Natsu complained. "Oh shut it," erza scolded him. "You did agree to it," mira said while lisanna laughed. "How did you guess it?" Juvia asked me. I shrugged, "my lucky number," i said. "Mine too!" Wendy told me. "Really? Awesome!" I said. After we paid the bill we got outside and all began going our own ways. "Do you need a ride, wendy?" Erza asked her. Wendy nodded, "if its not too much trouble," wendy said.  "Nonsense, its not trouble at all," jella said as wendy followed them to his car. "I can give you guys a ride if youd like," ethan said to mira and lisanna. "Great!" Mira said happily. "Ill take a ride over walking, anyday," lisanna said. "Hey ever are you coming?" Ethan asked. Before i could reply natsu spoke up, "no, ill get her home," he said as he grabbed my hand. "Youre staying with me," he whispered in my ear. Making me blush, i was about to tell him he didnt need to but he spoke up, "juvia, do you want a ride?" He asked her. Juvia nodded, "if you could, please," she said. We all got into natsu car and began driving, "so how long have you lived with gajeel now?" Natsu asked juvia. "Oh uh- about two years," she replied. "Wow, how long have you guys known eachother?" I asked. "Oh since grade school!" She answered. "This is your place, right?" Natsu asked. Juvia nodded as she opened the door, "thanks for the ride natsu. Bye ever, ill see you guys tommorow," she said as she shut the car door and walked to her house. Natsu waved before pulling away and driving to my house. When we got to the house natsu pulled into our driveway and parked, "so um, why did you say that im staying with you?" I finally asked him. Natsu blushed slightly but spoke, "oh well i uh- i just wanted to get some time with you, is all," he said with a smile. "Okay then, you couldve just said so," i said as i returned his warm smile. The top of his car was down the whole time so i started to get chilly throughout the ride and i was even colder, now. "Could i run inside and get a hoodie?" I asked natsu. He smiled, "no need. Hold on," he said getting out of the car. I watched him as he opened his trunk and took out a blanket. He brought it back and got inside, "here you can use this," he said as he handed me the blanket. "Thanks. So...are you ready for homecoming?" I asked him. Natsu nodded, "ill be ready as long as youre there," he said grabbing my hand under the blanket. "How about we just go for a drive? I can show you around some more," natsu said. I nodded, "sure just let me text ethan," i pulled out my phone and texted ethan,
Me: hey, me and natsu are going for a drive. Ill be back soon
Ethan: okay just be safe
Me: dont worry!
Ethan: not an option
Me: whatever, well be fine
After i texted him i looked to natsu, "yeah he just said to be careful," i explained. Natsu nodded, "of course i will," he replied. "Where to?" He asked as he pulled out of the driveway. "Doesnt matter. Show me some sights," i said. "Okay well whos house have you seen so far?" Natsu asked me. "Well yours, and miras of course. Ive seen juvias, wendys, erzas..." natsu stopped me, "i have a better idea," he told me. I looked at him quizically, "okay what is it?" I asked him. He smiled widely, "you still have the keys to the pool, righht?" He asked. I nodded, "yeah, why did you want to go swimming?" I asked. Natsu nodded, "itd be fun. We could go swimming just us, if you want to that is," he said. "Do you have a swimsuit at school?" I asked him. He nodded, "yeah i have one in my locker," he said. "Okay then i guess we can go!" I said happily. When we got to the school natsu parked right outside of the pool, i got my keys out and unlocked the door for us, "remind me to lock it when we leave," i told him. He nodded, "im gonna run to my locker," he told me. I nodded, "ill go get into my swim suit," i told him as he walked out of the pool area. I went into the changing rooms and got dressed, by the time i came back natsu was already there, in his swim suit. They were just normal swim trunks but they had a fire design on them and i was just in my school swim suit. "Ready?" Natsu asked me as i approached. "No, are you ready?" I asked him with a devilish smile. "What you me-" before he could ask i pushed him into the pool. "This is my turf!" I screamed as i jumped in after him. He came up laughing, "oh now youve done it," he said as he began trying to pick me up. We spent the next hour and a half wrestling around in the pool. I was already tired and i could tell natsu was too, "what time is it?" I finally asked. "Uh hold on, my phones over there," he said as he got out of the pool. He walked over to his stuff and picked up his phone, "almost ten," he told me. "Wow, we should probably get going," i said as i got out of the pool. Natsu nodded, "okay lets get dressed" he said. "You can come in the changing room with me, i mean, its just us," i said trying not to blush. "Uh- okay- if thats alright with you," he said as he followed me into the changing room. When we got inside i got my clothes out of my locker and began undressing, i was faving away from natsu when i hung my swimsuit up in the rail. I turned around to get my clothes and saw natsu alredy undressed, looking at me with a blush on his face. "Uh-" i couldnt say anything instead i just picked up my bra and panties. "Wow..." natsu said looking at me. I finally gathered the courage to fully look at him and wow was right. His perfectly sculpted body turned away from me as he grabbed his boxers. I kept staring at him until he turned around again and spoke, "like what you see?" He said with a coky smile. I blushed hard and looked away, "i uh- yeah." Was all i said. He chuckled, "god i am lucky to have you," he said as he put on his boxers. I finally turned away and put on my clothes. By the time i turned around natsu was already dressed. "Sorry you were just....distracting," i admitted. Natsu smiled, "i could say the same about your beautiful body," he said making me blush again. "I-you make me so happy, natsu," i finally said. "You too, now lets get you home," natsu said as he grabbed my hand. We left the pool after when we got outside i remembered, "hold on, let me lock the door," i said as i got out the key. Natsu waited for me to lock the door and we walked to the car. The drive home was silent but he held my hand the entire time. When we pulled up to my house again i spoke, "that was really fun natsu," i told him. He smiled, "yeah i had fun too," he said. "So what was it you were trying to tell me earlier? When ethan interupted," i asked. I noticed natsu tense up as i said this. "Well um- the thing is ive uh- ive tried to tell you before but things keep getting in the way," he said. I nodded, signalling for him to continue. "Well um- see the thing is- ever i- i really think- i lo-" "hey ever, natsu! Come in! We got cookies!" Ethan yelled at us from the front door. "Cookies?" I asked. Ethan nodded, "yeah mira snd lisanna made them, come in!" Ethan said signalling us in. "Sorry natsu what were you saying?" I turned to him. He looked mad for a second but calmed down, "nothing, ill tell you another time. Go ahead inside," he said. "Youre not coming?" I asked. Natsu shook his head, "no you go ahead, i have to do some homework," he said. "Okay natsu. Ill see you tommorow," i said as i gave him a quick kiss. I got out of the car and walked to the door. When i got there i turned around and waved as he drove away. When i got inside ethan, mira and lisanna were sitting around the tv playing video games. "Welcome home, friend!" Lisanna said. "Hey guys," i said putting my stuff down. "Why is your hair wet?" Ethan asked. "Did you go to the pool?" Lisanna asked and i nodded, "oh, did you go with natsu?" Mira asked. I nodded again, "yeah we swam for a bit, it was fun," i explained. "Okay well you should come play with us!" Lisanna said while ethan nodded. "No i have homework, i think ill just get a cookie and go upstairs. But you guys have fun," i said. "Aw okay, next time youre playing with us though," mira said making me nod. "Of course," i said before i walked into the kitchen. I grabbed a bottle of water and a cookie before walking uostairs. When i got to my room i changed into pajamas before taking out my phone,
Me: hey erza, do you think we could start that training tommorow?
Erza relied only a moment later,
Erza: sure, ill be at your house at 5!
Me: 5?! Why that early?
Erza: i go for a jog every morning, build some stamina!
Me: uhg do i have to?
Erza: if you want me to train you, yes
