Chapter 41- a day of flowers

Natsus POV
Waking up with happy laying on my face isnt the best way to start the morning. I can smell the coffee coming from downstairs where i assume dad and zeref are sitting. I threw on my pajama pants before leving my room and heading for the kitchen. As i entered the kitchen mavis spoke, "good morning natsu!" She said happily. I smiled lightly at her, "morning mavis," i said plainly. "Coffee?" Zeref asked me as he held a mug. "Sure, thanks." I told him. He poured me some coffee and sat as he handed it to me. "So what are you going to do today?" Dad asked me. I shrugged, "i dont know, i guess ill go see ever," i told him. "Oh i just love that girlfriend of yours! Shes so smart and pretty and she cooks so well!" Mavis said, praising ever. I nodded, "yeah. She is pretty great," i said as i took another sip of my coffee. "So do you love her?" Zeref asked making me almost spit out my drink and mavis began giggling. "I-i uh- i guess," i finally answered. "So you do?" Dad asked. I nodded, "yeah i guess, why are we doing this right now?" I asked getting frustrated. "Well i just want to make sure youre treating this girl right, is all." Zeref said before he went back to writing in his little scientific notebook. "Well- i am! So you dont need to worry about ever," i said as i stood up. "Im getting dressed and then going to evers," i told them as i walked away.

Evers POV
When i woke up i could smell ethans cheese and bacon omelettes. I quickly got changed before heading downstairs. Once in the dining room i saw that ethan had already set up the table. "I knew this would wake you up," he said as he entered the dining room with the omelettes. "Well im hungry so, yeah," i said. "So how did you feel about natsus brother?" He asked me as we began to eat. "Oh i uh- hes really cool," i said. "What about his wife?" Ethan asked. I shrugged, "she seems really nice, im sure theyre great people," i admitted. Ethan nodded, "yeah they seemed cool," he said. We ate in silence for a few minutes until my phone started to ring. I looked and saw that it was an unknown number, "whos that?" Ethan asked me. I shrugged and explained, "i dont know, unknown number." I told him. He nodded as i stood to take the call. When i answered i recognized the voice, "hello?" I said. "Hello ever, goodmorning," lahar said on the other side of the line. "Lahar, hi. Is everything okay?" I asked. I heard lahar shuffling with papers on the other end, "yes everythings fine, i just wanted to tell you that your court date is on december 18th." He told me. "Okay, youll be there, right?" I asked. I heard lahar chuckle, "of course i will, bring natsu and ethan with you as well. Doranbolt will need to talk to you for a bit longer before your court date. Whenever is good for you, i can text doranbolt your number so you can set up a meeting time," He told me. "Okay i will, thankyou again for the help." I said. "Dont worry about it ever. afterall, it is my job. ill see you then," he said. "Bye lahar," i said. "Goodbye ever." After i hung up the phone i noticed ethan watching me, "what did lahar say?" He asked as i sat back down. "He said my court date is on the 18th," iexplained. Ethan nodded, "me and natsu will be there," he said. I was about to say something else when my phone rung again, this time it was a different unknown number, "wow youre popular today," ethan said as i stood up. "Hello?" I asked as i answered the phone. "Hey! This is ever, right?" The girl on the other end asked, they sounded familiar but i couldnt put my finger on it. "Yes this is ever, whos this?" I asked. I heard the person on the other end giggle, "oh im sorry, its daisy! I wanted to know if me and rose could hangout with you today," she said. "Oh daisy! Yeah sure, id love to hangout," i told her. "Oh thats wonderful! Me and rose will be there soon," she said. "Okay, ill see you then," i told her before hanging up. "Daisy is coming over?" Ethan asked. "Yeah and rose," i said. Ethan rolled his eyes, "great so im gonna be stuck in the house with all these girls," ethan said. "Why dont you call one of the guys?" I asked. Ethan shrugged, "i guess i could," he said as he took our dishes into the kitchen. Just then there was a knock on the door, "ill get it," i said as i stood. I opened the door to reveal daisy and rose standing on the steps, "come in!" I told them as i stepped aside. Daisy was wearing a long white dress with a yellow cardigan and hippie-like brown boots. Rose stood behind daisy wearing a pair of black jeans and converse with a dark purple sweater.  They entered and daisy smiled widely, "great! I was hoping to get to know you more!" She said while rose stood behind her. "Its nice to see you guys," i said. "So what do you do for fun, here?" Rose asked from behind daisy. "Well uh- we could play video games," i said. Daisy shrugged, "okkay, im not that good but i can play," she said while rose nodded, "yeah lets play!" She said. "Okay, i have an xbox in my room," i said as i led them upstairs. We got into my room and i began setting my xbox up while they sat on my bed. "Wow ever, did you draw that?" Daisy asked me as she pointed to the drawing of me and natsu. "Ew, why would she draw natsu?" Rose asked sarcastically. "No my friend juvia drew that for me," i explained. "Wow juvia must be a great artist!" Daisy said. I smiled, "yeah she is, but shes quite nervous about it," i explained. Rose rolled her eyes, "thats stupid. If shes good at it she should be proud, i cant draw for my life," she said. I finished getting the xbox set up as i asked, "well what are you good at, rose?" I asked. I noticed rose thinking for a moment before she answered, "video games. And psychology," she said plainly. "Psychology, huh? Do you want to be a psychologist?" I asked her. Daisy nodded while rose answered, "yeah, i really like learning about the mind and id love to help people!" She said actually sounding happy about it. "Well thats great, psychology is a good field to get into," i told her. "Rose has loved learning about the mind since grade school when we met a boy named john who had schizophrenia," daisy told me making rose roll her eyes. "It was not because of john!" Rose said making daisy giggle. "Rose was the only one he would talk to, he was scared of everyone else," daisy explained. I handed them each a controller before speaking, "i thought it was rare to be diagnosed with schizophrenia in childhood years," i said. Daisy nodded, "yeah it is," she said. "But john was very severe," rose explained making me nod. "John was paranoid about everyone, he thought we were all out to get him. But rose was the only one he felt comfortable with," daisy explained. "I just talked to him normally, everyone else kept asking him about his disorder," rose explained. "Well it sounds like youll be a great psychologist," i said. "What do you want to do?" Daisy asked me. I thought for a moment before shrugging, "im not sure, i like to write," i explained. "Ooh like an author?" Daisy asked. I shrugged, "not really, more like, putting ideas into an organized paper," i explined. "So you want to do research?" Rose asked. I thought for a moment before nodding, "i suppose so," i said. "You could research neuroscience with me!" Daisy said making me shake my head, "no way, neuroscience is not my thing," i told her. She giggled before rose spoke, "well what about psychology?" She asked. I thought for a moment before responding, "well i do really like the idea of psychology, i just dont know if i could do it," i said. "I can give you my intro to psych book if youd like," rose said. I nodded, "yeah thatd be great, id love to see it," i told her. "Now how about we play some shooting games?" Daisy asked. "Is call of duty two, alright?" I asked. Rose nodded, "as long as you guys are fine with me kicking your asses," rose said. "Bring it on," i said before starting the game. The game took a while mostly because of me and rose. Daisy was more than twenty points behind us while me and rose fought hard to win. We were both just one kill away from winning, "oh this is too close," daisy said whil watching us. "Too close for comfort," i admitted. "Well looks like im- gonna- win!" Rose screamed as she scored her last point. "Damnit! I was so close!" I yelled as the screen showed her winning kill. "So close, but not close enough!" She said proudly. "Well that was fun," daisy said. "Are you guys hungry?" I asked making rose nod, "god yes," she said. "Well we can go make sandwiches," i told them. "That sounds nice, id like some tea as well," daisy said as we left my room. "Okay we can have tea too," i said. As we walked down the steps i saw ethan and jellal sitting on the couch, "oh hello ever," jellal said as we got down the steps. "Hey jellal, is erza here too?" I asked. "No she has a cold," jellal said. "Oh im sorry, i hope she gets better," i said. "Im sure shell be fine, erza is strong. Who might this be?" Jellal asked me. "Oh uh- this is," i was about to introduce them when daisy spoke up, "hi im daisy! And this is my sister rose, jellal was it? Youre natsus friend, right?" Daisy asked as she approached him. He shook her hand and smiled, "yes im natsus friend, how do you know?" He asked. "Im sorry, my name is daisy akabane," she said making jellal smile, "oh i see you are the akabane twins," jellal said. "Yes, you may have met our parents before," rose said. "Yes i have, lovely people," jellal said. "Well its nice to meet you, jellal," daisy said. Just as i was about to speak, rose did, "can we go make some food?" She asked. "Sure lets go, daisy you can stay in here if you want, were gonna go make sandwiches," i told daisy. "Okay ever, ill stay here and talk to the guys," she sat down next to the guys as we went into the kitchen. "Shes too talkative for her own good," rose said as we got into the kitchen. I took out the bread and sandwich stuff as i spoke, "i dont know about that, she gets along well with everyone," i said. "Yeah but that doesnt mean she isnt annoying as hell," rose said. "Well what does she want to do? She said something about neuroscience?" I asked. Rose nodded, "she always says she wanted to go into neuroscience but honestly, we both know shes going to end up being a school teacher," she said. I turned my head to the side, "whys that?" I asked. "Well she likes neuroscience sure, but she likes talking to children even more," she said. "Well either way, thats a good career choice," i said as we began making some sandwiches. I heard a knock on the door as we were making sandwiches, i was about to get the door when i heard ethan, "i got it!" He said, i heard the door open and close as we kept making sandwiches. We had made about thirty mini sandwiches when rose spoke, "you think thats enough for everyone?" She asked. I nodded, "that should be good, lets go," i said as i grabbed the one plate. Rose grabbed the platter with the tea and teacups on it and followed me into the livingroom. Once in there we saw natsu now sitting on the couch with ethan, jellal and daisy. "Hey guys! I hope you made some good food!" Daisy said as we entered. "Hey natsu, what are you doing here?" I asked him. Natsu shrugged, "i wanted to see you, i didnt know you had guests," natsu said making me giggle. "Its okay, i just didnt know you were coming over," i explained. "Has jellal told you the good news?" Natsu asked me making ethan face palm. "What? Did i say something?" Natsu asked, confused. "We were going to wait to tell her," jellal said. "Well now we cant wait," ethan said. "Oh sorry guys, i didnt know," natsu said. "Tell me what?" I asked the guys as i set down the plates. "Well uh- i recieved a call from jura today," jella told me. "The council president of lamia scale?" I asked. Jellal nodded, "yes and he gave me information regarding anthony," he said. "Well uh- what is it?" I asked him as he paused. "Well when asked by obba what happened, he admitted it," jellal said making me gasp as i set the playe down on the table. "He did? Like he actually confessed?" I asked as i sat down on the couch next to natsu. Jellal nodded, "apparently he wasnt even smart enough to lie, so they expelled him right there," jellal explained. "And because of that jura and obba will be in court to speak against him," ethan said. "They- they are?" I asked. Natsu nodded, "apprently they already know where and when court is," he explained. "I dont get whats going on....?" Daisy said confused. "Dont worry about it right now," rose told her, obviously more understanding to the situation. "Well we made lots of sandwiches and tea, so...lets eat!" I said happily. "Awesome! Free food!" Natsu said before picking up a sandwich in each hand. "Natsu, its nice to actually meet some of your friends," daisy said. "Yeah, i always thought you were lying about having friends," rose said with a sarcastic chuckle making natsu roll his eyes. The next few hours were spent with all of us eating and laughing. "I want to meet more of your friends, they all sound so cool!" Daisy said when we were done eating. "Well i dont know about cool...." natsu said trailing off while i shrugged him off. "They are cool, here ill see if juvia wants to hang," i told daisy, making her smile. "Ooh thats the girl that can draw and swim! She sounds lovely," daisy said as i called juvia. It only took one ring before she picked up, "hello?" "Hey juvia! Its ever," i told her even though i knew she wouldve seen my contact before picking up. "Hey ever, whats up?" She asked. "Well um, i was wondering if youd like to meet a few of my friends, daisy and rose," i explained. I heard juvia talking to someone on the other end before responding, "i guess thats okay, but gray sama and levy are here at the moment. Is it okay if all four of us come over?" She asked. I didnt even need to think about it before answering, "yeah thats great! The more the merrier!" I told her. "Great! Well be there in twenty minutes," she said before hanging up. Me and rose took the plates into the kitchen to clean before everyone else got here. Ethan was setting up netflix so that we could watch a movie. As me and rose were doing the dishes natsu came in behind us and wrapped his arms around me, "hey babe," he said sweetly, making me blush. "Hey babe, are you gonna help?" I asked, motioning towards the dish in my hand. Natsu laughed, "no you got that. I just wanted to hold you," he said as he kept hugging me. "Gross. Ever, you shouldnt let natsu touch you like that," rose said sarcastically. "Hey! Shes let me touch her alot more than this before!" Natsu retorted making me laugh, "guys please dont get into this," i said making them both shut up. As we finished i heard the front door open, meaning that everyone is here. Me and rose walked behind natsu as we entered the livingroom. Juvia and levy stood next to gajeel and gray on the entryway and waved as we entered. I could already hear daisy introducing herself to everyone but i noticed rose's face go red before she swiftly turned around and went back into the kitchen. Natsu looked at me confused, making me shrug my shoulder. When i went into the kitchen rose was getting a glass of water, "whats up?" I asked her making her shrug. "W-whats up? N-nothing, just thirsty," she said, stuttering. "You dont seem alright, whats wrong?" I asked. Rose cleared her throat before speaking, "who was that talk guy out there?" She asked. I thought for a moment before answering, "the one with the long hair? Thats gajeel," i said making her nod. "Why? Trust me, hes not nearly as scary as he-" "hes really cute," rose cut me off and shocked me. "O-oh! You think gajeel is cute?" I asked making her nod. I giggle a little before getting closer, "well hes a really nice guy, just go talk to him. But im sorry- hes dating levy," i explained. Rose put her head down for a moment before speaking again, "o-okay, i see..." she trailed off. "But hes really nice! Im sure youll still get along with him!" I said making her nod her head. "Come on, come meet my friends," i said dragging her out of the kitchen. When she finally met everyone and calmed down we decided to skip watching the movie and just talk instead. We all found out alot more about eachother. Daisy gets along very well with levy as they talked about books and fairytales the entire time. Daisy also talked alot to juvia about art which juvia was very shy about. Rose spoke only to jellal at first, speaking about their education and career paths but soon enough gajeel joined in on their conversation, making rose seem a bit more nervous. It seemed that her and gajeel got along very well as they had a great time talking about different conspiricay theories and murder mysteries. It was around ten o clock when daisy spoke up, "im sorry guys, but i think we have to go," she said. "Aw im sorry, well i hope to see you soon," levy said. "Yes, it was great talking with you," juvia told her. "Im sorry guys, bye," rose said as she stood up. "Dont be sorry, see you again," jellal said. "Nice to meet you, stay cool," gajeel told her, making her visably flustered. "Thankyou for having us, ever!" Rose said as they left. "I cant wait to do it again!" Daisy said as i walked them to the door. "You guys are welcome anytime, really," i told them. We said a few more goodbye before they got into their car and drove off. When i got back inside it seemed like everyone else was ready to leave as well. "You ready shrimp?" Gajeel asked levy making her pout. "Yeah im ready, and dont call me shrimp," she said making gajeel chuckle. "You coming rain woman?" He asked juvia making her stand up. Juvia nodded, "yes im ready. Are you coming gray sama?" She asked gray making him nod. "You know i am," he answered. "Well i better go check on erza," jellal said as he stood. "Tonight was fun," ethan said as they walked to the door. "See you guys on monday!" I said as they all walked out of the house. "And then there was three..." natsu said. "Well actually, i have to take this call," i said as my phone rang. I walked into the kitchen before answering the unknown number. "Hello?" "Hello, this is ever, correct?" Someone asked. "Yes is is her," "well hello there, its doranbolt," he said. 'Ooh yeah! We have to meet up!' I remembered. "So i assume lahar told you where we must go from here?" He asked. "Yes, if its alright with you, id like to meet up tommorow. At the café by fairytail?" I asked. I heard doranbolt writing something before he answered, "thats fine, is six alright with you," he asked. "Yeah thats great, ill see you then," i told him. "Okay ever, well talk more tommorow," he responded before hanging up. When i got back into the living room the guys were already on the couch watching some dumb action movie. All i know is that it had way too many exposions. As i sat inbetween them i got more and more tired and eventually fell asleep in natsus lap.

Natsus POV
When the movie was over ethan got up. "Well im going to bed dude," he told me. "Uh- what about her? Shes not even in pajamas," i explained. Ethan shrugged his shoulders, "i dont know man, shes your girlfriend, do what you want," he said before running up the steps. Ever was sleeping peacefully in my lap but i felt bad. She was in a very uncomfortable position and she was still wearing her jeans. Slowly i lifted her head from my lap and stood, before picking her up bridal style. Im surprised that she didnt even wake up from this. When i got her into the room i sat her on her bed and began looking through her pajama drawer. I picked out a pair of pajama pants and thought about how i was going to do this. 'Im gonna have to take her pants off,' i thought to myself. Gently, i unbottoned her jeans before sliding them down slowly. Now she just laid there in a tshirt and her panties. I would be lying if i said that i didnt love the view that i had, but i was not going to leave her like that, so i slipped on her pajama pants. I couldnt find my clothes here so i just got into my boxers before getting under the covers with her. I pulled her closer to me and burried my face in her neck before falling asleep. 'This feels heavenly'
