Chapter 44- extracurricular

-monday morning-
Erzas POV
"Jellal, i swear im fine to go today-" i told him as i put on my black jacket and grabbed my bag. "Are you sure? You were just sick yesterday," he said with a slightly worried look. "Baby im fine, trust me," i said before kissing him on his forehead. He finnaly nodded before i walked to the door, "i love you~" i heard him call out before i reached the door. "I love you too jellal!" I said before leaving. The air outside was cool and crisp, great for jogging. I slung my bookbag over my shoulders and texted ever before putting my phone away.
Me: hey im heading over now
Ever: okay, ill be ready.
Me: its cold out be warned
Ever: okay ill grab my jacket
I put my phone in my pocket before jogging along the side walk. I loved early morning jogs because of the quiet atmosphere. I love to go outside when most people arent awake and night time can be more dangerous, so early morning is perfect. Plus, whenever i jog i can feel the good that it is doing my body. I understand my bodys limit and that is wall that counts, i know that when i cant take anymore i shouldnt push it, which is why im going so easy on ever. Im still not sure how athletic of a person she is, i mean she keeps up with me pretty well. As i crossed the street onto evers street i thought about how much i care for ever. I really appreciate that she wants to build up her ability to defend herself, perhaps i should invite her to my self defense club next semester. When i got to her door i knocked twice before she opened the door. "Hey, ethans making breakfast today," she told me as i came in. "Oh awesome, jellal will appreciate that," i said as i put my bag down next to the couch. Just then natsu came down the steps wearing just his shorts. "Uh- hi natsu," i said as i noticed him. "Oh yeah erza, give me one minute," he said. Me and ever exchanged mutual confused faces. "Im coming to jog with you!" He said before running back up the steps. "O-okay," i said with a chuckle. "So natsu slept over last night?" I asked ever with a smirk. Her face blushed a light pink before answering, "yeah- but hes slept over before- a-and we never do anything, so- yeah," she stuttered out. I laughed, "im just messing with you!" I said as i laughed. Just then i heard ethan in the kitchen yelling to us, "hey erza! Is jellal coming over today?" He asked. Ever giggled at ethans laziness, he could even come into the living room to speak to us. "Yeah he is!" I answered. A moment later natsu came down in sweat pants and a tshirt. "No jacket?" I asked him. Natsu shook his head, "no i dont really get cold," he said. "Are you sure babe, i dont want you to get sick," ever told him. Natsu just brushed her off, "dont worry, im good," he said, making ever shake her head in defeat. "Okay just dont get sick," she said as she opened the door. "Almost the exact conversation i had with jellal earlier," i told them with a giggle. "Well its only fair for you to worry about some one you care about," ever told me. "Oh no, he was the worried one," i said making natsu laugh as we began jogging down the block.

Evers POV
About half way through the jog, natsu began goofing off. He was making even more stupid jokes -earning only small chuckles from me and erza- and he bagn running backwards now. "Babe, youre gonna trip," i told him as me and erza jogged towards him. "Thatll serve him right for flirting while we jog," erza said sarcastically, making me giggle. "Hey! Im just trying to make people smile, is that so bad?" Natsu said while still jogging backwards. "Okay, but seriously baby, turn around bef-" just then natsu fell flat on his butt tripping me over in the process. I felt natsu wrap his arms around my head and bring me closer to him as i fell, as if he was trying to protect me. Erza managed to stop in time so she just watched, as i fell onto him. I barely felt the impact at all as natsu took the force of the fall. I was craddled in his arms but i quickly jumped off of him and spoke, "are you okay?!" I asked worried as natsu sat up, rubbing his back. "Serves you right-" erza said with a chuckle. "Well you know ever, i could held you for longer," natsu said with a smirk, making my cheeks heat up. "What did i say about flirting? Look were almost back, and im hungry so get up," erza told natsu sarcastically making him groan. "Fiiiiine," natsu whined as we began jogging again. Whe got back and ethan and jellal were setting the table, i could smell bacon. "Hey babe, let me change," erza said to jellal as we walked in and she grabbed her bag. When we walked upstairs i told erza, "you could either be in my room with me when i change or you can go to the bathroom," i told her. Erza looked at me as we stood on the top of the steps with a smirk, "you and natsu can change in your room," she told me, making natsu chuckle from behind me. "Uh- um okay," i said as i walked into my room and she walked into the bathroom.
