Chapter 28- my saviours

Natsus POV
I woke up in my bed and felt an arm wrapped around me. I looked down to see ever hugging me as she slept. 'So beautiful~'. I looked towards my clock and saw that it was 10 oclock. 'Wait! What happened?' The last thing i remember was crawling in the bushes to get a closer look at wendy and romeo. I guess ill have to wait until she wake up to find out what the hell happened. As i looked at evers peaceful face i noticed her music playing in the background. I think i know this song. I began humming along to the words of the song. 'I have died everyday waiting for you...darling dont be afraid, i have loved you,' "for a thousand years..." ever sang, finally looking up at me. "Good mor- well goodnight," i said pointing towards the clock. "Shit! I have to call ethan! Hes probably pissed!" Ever scrambled around and grabbed her phone. She dialed a number and put it up to her ear. Not even a second later she began talking, "ethan hey. Im so sorry!" She spoke. "Yeah i figured mira wouldve told you. Oh! Gajeel told you? Yeah im sure he was laughing. Okay, but i want to stay with natsu," she said. 'She wants to stay with me?' I felt so happy hearing her say this even if i couldnt hear the whole conversation. "What if i didnt go?" She asked. 'What is she even talking about?' "I can come home tommorow," she said. 'Stay the night?' "Thankyou so much! Ill text you tommorow," she finally hung up her phone and turned to me, "so could i stay over?" She asked me. I smiled widely, "of course you can!" I told her, "but do you want to tell me what happened?" I asked her. "Oh yeah," she said sadly. "Natsu i am so sorry," she told me looking guilty. I looked at her quizically. She told me the whole story and immediatly began apologizing, "please dont be mad at me natsu im so sorry!" She said this as she kneeled down in front of me. Her eyes were watering and she looked at me pleadingly. I wanted to make a joke or laugh about it but i felt like i shouldnt because of how upset it made her. "Ill do anything to make it up to you!" She finally said. Of course i immediatly had some perverted ideas i pushed those thoughts out of my head. "Okay. Stand up," i told her as i stepped off the bed. She stood up slowly and came closer to me. Before she could say anything i hugged her tight. I heard her breath catch in her throat and she began crying harder. "Really ever, its alright. I promise." I told her calmly. "But i- i" i stopped her by hugging her tighter. "Baby, please. Its alright, you didnt know it was me," i pulled away and wiped the tears off her cheeks, "plus im just happy that i got a girl who can punch as well as you," i said playfully. This made her giggle a bit, "see? Please smile." I told her. She nodded, "so i have another question," she said. I nodded for her to continue, "im not going into school tommorow. Do you want to take off with me?" She asked. I smiled, "ive just been waiting for an excuse to take off!" I said happily. "So you will?" She asked. I nodded, "ill just have to run it by dad but im aure hell be cool," i told her. "Awesome! I was thinking we could bake something together," she told me. This made me even happier, "oh great! Id love to. Sounds like fun. As long as you make them tasty," i said as i jumped up and down. "Great! Ill go walk to the store for the ingredients," she said. I shook my head, "no you wont. Its ten o clock," i told her. She pouted at me, "i am a mature young woman. I can take care of myself. I am obviously good at defensive maneuvers," she said with a giggle. "Okay i get what youre saying. But that was just a lucky shot!" I told her. "Yeah sure it was," she answered. I rolled my eyes, "whatever but i still dont want you to go alone," i explained as we left the room. "Natsu, come on! Ill be fine. Just let me go," she said as we walked down the steps. "Go where? Oh i see youre awake natsu," dad said as we got to the bottom of the steps. "Yeah im up. Ever can stay over, right?" I asked. Igneel nodded, "can i take off tommorow?" I asked him. He looked at me as i gave him a pleading look. "Okay, but dont make a habit out of it," he answered. "Awesome. Me and ever are going to bake something!" I told him. "Yeah, im going to get the ingredients now," ever said as she opened the door. "By yourself?" Dad asked her. She nodded, "dont worry ill be fine," she said before leaving and closing the door. Not giving us enough time to protest. "Youre not just going to let her walk alone, right?" Dad asked me. I shook my head, "of course not," i said as i slipped my shoes on. I quickly ran out the door after her.
