Chapter 23- theatre talk

Evers POV
Although the weekend was... eventuful i was happy to be back in school. Most of the day went alright, we were reminded by evergreen at lunch to come to the auditorium after school to talk about the play. We all agreed and went on to our clubs. Swim club was just a chill day, since we won our match we were basically just hanging out in the pool. "So juvia, how was your sleepover the other night?" I asked her with a smirk. She just giggled and replied, "it was fun! Levy and gajeel are really fun!" She told me. Laki gasped, "gajeel and levy are official?" She asked. Lisanna chuckled, "they have been for a few weeks now, you didnt know?" She asked laki. "No i didnt. I didnt think gajeel would be that type," she said. Juvia giggled while i responded, "well he seems to be that way around levy-" i said while wriggling my eye brows. "Well what about you and bickslow? Huh, lis?" I asked her. Lisanna blushed a bit but waved it off, "oh we have sleepovers all the time! Thats nothing new!" She told us. At this aquarius jumped in, "oh you do? Sounds interesting-" she said. Lisanna turned a brighter shade of red, "wh-it- its not like that!" She said while we all laughed. "Well what about you and natsu? Huh?" She asked me. "Uh- what about us?" I asked shyly. "How was the sleepover?" Laki asked. "Well we uh- he kindof- you remember that picture juvia drew of us?" I asked them. They all nodded, "oh no, im sorry again!" Juvia said. I just smiled at her, "well uh- we kindof.... recreated that..in a way." I responded, i could feel my face heating up, "oh wow, little ever found herself a man!" Aquarius said. "Thats actually really cute!" Lisanna said. "You shouldve gotten a picture!" Juvia yelled. After we all gassiped a little bit more we were dismissed. Me and juvia headed to the gym to meet up with the boys while we talked. When we got in the gym the boys were all in a circle talking about some match coming up. Juvia helped me get their drinks while we talked some more, "so i heard from levy that cana came out to her dad," she told me. "Wait mr. clive is her father right?" I asked. Juvia nodded, "yes but most people just call him gildarts," she said. "So what happened?" I asked her. Juvia smiled, "apparently he was actually happy to hear that she was a lesbian! He didnt want her around guys so i guess he thinks this is better," she told me. "Well that...good i guess," i replied. "So what about lucys dad?" I asked her. Juvia put her head down, "im not sure about him. From what ive heard, he is alot more...... close minded than canas father," she said. "I see...." i said sadly. When the boys were finally done we all talked a bit before heading to photography, "meet in the auditorium after?" Jellal asked. "Yeah well be there," natsu replied as we left. When we got to photography it was the same as every week, he gave us an assignment. "Bonjour children! Your assignment this week is to bring a photo that conveys school spirit!" He told us. We only talked a little bit more before he let us go. Me and natsu walked to thw auditorium and entered quietly. When we went in there was only a few people on the stage in a circle talking. "Hey guys!" Natsu yelled. I slapped his arm telling him to be quiet. They turned around, "oh natsu! Hi! Youre just in time, guys!" Romeo said happily. "Come up here!" Wendy told us. "We are just going over the script one last time," evergreen told us. We walked onto the satge and stood in the circle. "And who might these two be?" Two short people with light blue hair asked at the same time. "Sorry guys, this is natsu and ever, they came to help with the play!" Romeo said. "Well than thats great!" Both people said again. "Hello we are the gemini twins, masters of the stage!" They said in unison. "I am gemi!" The male told us. "And i am mini!" The female told us. "Nice to meet you," i told them. "So what play are we doing?" Natsu asked. "How about we wait for everyone else?" Evergreen said. We agreed and began talking until everyone else came. I met some new people who are also in the theatre club. A girl named kinana. She has dark purple hair and is shy although very sweet. I also met a guy named max who seemed to be the 'go with the flow' type guy. "I didnt think you were the type to get a girlfriend," max told natsu, "whats that supposed to mean?" He asked offended. "Haha i just meant you never really seemed that into girls," he said. "Well i just....found one i like," he said shyly. "Well either way its nice to meet you, ever." He told me. Soon enough everyone arrived and the gemini twins spoke, "welcome all! Evergreen has done an amazing job refining the script which we will be using!" They said. "And whats that?" Laxus asked. "Romeo and juliet!" They said happily. "Oh great"s were heard amongst the guys. "Many school have done this but they will not succeed like we will!" Evergreen said proudly. "Now take your script and come on tommorow ready to audition for a role!" She said. "Everyone will get a part but our members will get the main roles," they told us. When they said this kinana raised her hand, "i would prefer to have a smaller role if possible." She said. Evergreen looked at her questioningly when she explained, "im might have some stage frieght," she told her. Evergreen nodded, "very well. We can do that," the gemini twins told her. We all agreed and went home. That night i read over the script and thought about who i would be willing to play. Basically anyone

Ethans POV
The script was....well, romeo and juliet. Not much was changed in it. Im sure evergreen will find a way to make it different though. The next day we did the same thing, all met up in the auditorium. We all read over a few random lines with eachother before evergreen and the gemini twins asked us to line up. They began calling out people and the parts they would play, it goes as follows;

Evergreen would be directing the play.
We did a quick rehersal before leaving and lets just say that some of them got....really into their characters. Mercutio is a sarcastic smart ass and i would be lying if i said that natsu didnt play that part perfectly. Gajeel was perfectly violent and short tempered as tybalt. The death scene was alright even though natsu and gajeel both wanted their characters to stay alive. Ever was only on the stage for one moment as they introduced her as the woman who romeo used to love. Plus, Juvia looked so happy to be playing grays wife. Romeo and wendy both did excelently as well in their roles. We were going to practice every day until the week of halloween when it is opening night. Once we were done rehearsing the gemini twins gave us each a few pointers and then sent us home. It was about six oclock already and so we all decided to get dinner together at the dinner. We all sat around a large table as we ate, "so when is this match of yours?" Fried asked laxus. "This saturday, against sabertooth," he answered. "How many boxers do they have?" Levy asked. Gajeel shrugged but gray answered, "four from what ive heard,". "So who wont be competing? I mean theres six of yous," ever asked curiously. "Well i am always better as the mediator," jellal told us. "And i dont feel quiet ready yet," i told her. "Oh please, im sure youre ready!" Mira told me. "Maybe but i dont mind sitting this one out," i replied. "Youre going to come cheer for me, right ever?" Natsu asked me. She smiled at him, "of course! You came to root for me," she told him. "Good, i want you to see me win," he answered proudly. "Sorry to change the subject but i cant wait for the play!" Lucy said happily. "Indeed it will be fun," erza said. "Yeah but...arent you nervous about the kiss, guys?" Cana asked wendy and romeo with a smirk. Wendy turned pink but romeo just put his head down as he replied, "well its not like we have to actually kiss," he answered. "Yeah just a peck," wendy said. "Thats still cute!" Lisanna said. After we all finished our meal we got up and began waking eachother home. Before mira left with lisanna and elfman i called her over to me and ever, "we have something we want to give you," ever said. Mira looked at us questioningly but i held out the purse that ever lent me and opened it so she could see inside. This morning ever and i went to the bank and took out 50 thousand dollars. Mira looked in the bag and gasped, "no! I know what youre doing and no!" She replied. She began to walk away but i grabbed her wrist, "please mira," i said. She looked at me but before she could say anything ever spoke up, "mira please. Its just friends helping eachother out. This really doesnt hurt our bank at all. Plus i still want a nice halloween party to go to," she added. Mira looked at us for a moment and then finally took the purse, "are you sure about this?" She asked. Ever nodded, "of course," i told her. Mira smiled happily and quickly kissed me. It was a quick kiss but i still felt all the passion. "Thankyou guys so much," she told us. She hugged ever before leaving. After she left natsu approached, "want a ride?" He asked us. "Sure," ever replied before i could. On the way there i noticed natsu hand on evers thigh while he was driving. "So where did you get your car from, ethan?" Natsu asked me. "Oh from gajeels dads shop!" I replied. Natsu chuckled, "figured, metallicana does have a way with cars." He said. "Gajeels dad?" Ever asked. We looked at her quizically, "yeah what about him?" I asked. "Well i was just wondering that if gajeels dad is still around....why is he living with just juvia?" She asked. "Well gajeel and juvia have been friends for a really long time," natsu explained. "And gajeel always seems to protect her. After he dad died i guess he moved in eith her so she wouldnt be alone," he finished. "Thats really sweet," ever said. "Looks like ive been seeing more of that from gajeel lately," i said with a chuckle. Ever just nodded slowly, "here ya go," natsu said as we pulled up outfront of the house. "See you tommorow!" I said before hopping out. I noticed ever and natsu kissing as i walked through the front door. These next few weeks are going to be hectic.
