Chapter 29- a fun day off

Evers POV
I woke up feeling the warmth of natsu next to me. The sunlight was filtering through the window as the sun rose. Natsu had is arm lightly wrapped around me so it was easy enough to get out of his hold and stand up. As i stood i looked at his sleeping face, he looked so peaceful. I picked my jeans up off the floor and put them on before leaving his room. As i left his room i was met with the smell of fresh coffee. Down in the kitchen sat igneel, looking at his phone. "Goodmorning," i said shyly as i entered the kitchen. Igneel looked up from his phone, "ah, good morning ever. If you dont mind i would like to set up an appoitment with my friend lahar from the prosecutors office. When would be convienent for you?" He asked me. As i grabbed a mug out of the cabinent i shrugged, "i can go whenever. As long as it is after school," i told him. He nod as he stood up, "very well. This friday we can go after school. Natsu and ethan must both come as well," he told me before finishing his coffee. "Okay ill tell them. Do i need to bring anything?" I asked. Igneel nodded, "yes that ripped shirt of yours. Also, i just noticed that scratch on your neck, please take a photo of that as well," he pointed to my collar bone as he spoke. I felt it with my hand and felt a stinging pain. 'God damnit!' "Look ever, i know this may be hard for you...but we are all here to help you. I know youll be fine." Igneel told me as he put a hand on my shoulder. "Thankyou. Are you going to school?" I asked him. He nodded, "yes, ill be back around 5 o clock," he answered. "Have a good day," i said as he walked out the door. I poured myself a cup of coffee and sat down for a moment as i drank it. I dont regularly drink coffee but when i do i cannot drink anything except for black coffee. I mean that is how coffee is supposed to taste so why change it? I only sat for a few moments before going upstairs. I went into the bathroom and washed my face quickly before taking out the toothbrush that i had left here and brushing my teeth. I waked into the room, placed my coffee on the table and grabbed my phone. When i walked back into the bathroom i looked in the mirror at the scratch that igneel had noticed. It wasnt too deep but it was covered in dried blood. I pulled the collar of my shirt down before taking a few pictures of it from different angles. Just then i got three messages from igneel. As i opened them i saw the photos of my bruised wirsts
Igneel: for your reference-
The pictures were attatched to the message. I replied back to him,
Me: thanks for all your help.
I looked at the time and saw that it was only 745 so school wouldnt be starting for another 15 minutes. I texted ethan first,
Me: hey, we are going to the prosecutors office on friday.
Ethan: why? Are you pressing charges on him?
Me: i feel like i have to after what happened
Ethan: i understand, ill be there. If you need anything text me, im keeping my phone on me today.
Me: you dont have to. Im fine
Ethan: i know, but just incase.
I didnt bother answering ethan back, besides hes probably driving to school so i shouldnt distract him. I wondered who else i could talk to about this. I mean, natsu, igneel and ethan are amazing people and i trust them all but, i really wanted another girl to talk to. I trust almost all of the people that ive met here yet i dont know if i could tell them these things. I feel like juvia would start crying or getting really paranoid so i dont know if i should tell her. Mira would be an easy choice because im sure she has had guys make unwated advances on her lots of times. But i dont feel like she would be anle to do much besides emotionally console me. I want someone who can actually help me fix this problem. I finally snapped out of my thoughts and went back into the room. I sat down on the bed next to natsu and went through my contacts. I feel like if i told any of the guys they would just get violent and protective. Most of the girls wouldnt really be able to do much to actually help me, i feel useless. 'I should be able to defend myself, god damnit!......wait! Erza! She has some kind of self defense class, right?' Quickly i texted erza,
Me: hey erza. Can i take you out to dinner tonight?
Erza texted back a moment later,
Erza: i would love to. Is this a date? 😉
She included a winky face with her message. This made me giggle a bit,
Me: not really a date lol I would just like to talk to you about a few things is all. Plus weve never really hung out, just us.
She began replying instantly,
Erza: yes youre right. But is everything okay? Whats this about?
Me: everything is...fine i guess. I just have a slight problem and i feel like you can really help me
Erza: okay, would you like to go to dinner tonight?
Me: yes if thats okay with you
Erza: thats fine by me, ill be at your house around 5?
Me: nonsense, ill pick you up. Ill be at your house around 530
Erza: oh splendid, ill see you then
Me: see you then erza!
Once i got done texting i took a few more sips of coffee before gently shaking natsu awake, "natsu, natsu, wake up," i said softly. I noticed natsus eyes flutter open. He only looked up at me for a moment through half lidded eyes before he wrapped both arms around me and pulled me down onto him. "Natsu please, wake up," i said as he held my tightly. "But we took off today for a reason! Lets sleep-" he said sounding half awake. "Natsu come on. I actually have something to do today. Besides i thought you wanted to make cookies?" I asked him. This made him open his eyes wider, "cookies? I want cookies-" he said as he loosened his grip on me. "Well then lets go make some," i said this as i ran my fingers through his soft hair. "Please baby? Itll make me so happy to bake with you," i said pleadingly when he didnt reply. Finally he let go of me, "okay lets go bake," he said standing up. He stretched his arms out wide and i couldnt help but look at his toned abs and chest. I waited on his bed while he got dressed and went to the bathroom. When we went downstairs he began pulling out everything that i had bought yesterday minus the eggs. Instead he pulled out his own eggs and gave them to me. Finally he got me a baking sheet, a couple of bowls and a whisk. "So what first, ms. Chef?" He asked me playfully. "Well um well need to cream the butter and sugar," i had natsu measure everything out for me while i stood there frantically whisking it. "That smells good already!" He said once we were done. "Now i need the vanilla and the eggs," i told him. He nodded and poured the vanilla that i had weighed out into the mixture, "one egg at a time," i told him. The first two eggs went in smoothly but the last egg crumbled in his hands and shells went everywhere. "Oh shit!" He said panicing, trying to pull out the eggs shells. "Chill out babe, i got this," i said showing him how expertly i can pick out eggs shells. Once i had all the shell picked out i finished whisking it. "So just the flour now?" He asked. I shook my head, "and the chocolate chips. First pour the flour in slowly," i told him as i mixed. It took a few minites but we finally whisked all the flour in. "Now the best part!" He said as he held up the bag of chocolate chips. "Yeah but dont add too much," i warned him. He slowly poured some in as i mixed, "thats good," i told him. He nodded but before he took the bag away he poured in a huge amount of chocolate chips, "what the hell babe?" I asked. He laughed, "sorry but chocolate is the best part!" He said. i shurgged, "i guess youre right but that was way too much," i told him as i finished mixing them in. "Now help me roll them into balls," as i said this he chuckled which made me give him a disapproving glance. It took about 20 minutes to roll all the cookie dough but when we finished the oven was already preheated. "Okay now they just go in for about 15 minutes," i told him. "Lets clean," i finally said pointing towards the mess. "I call the dishes. U got everything else," natsu said quickly. I laughed, "fine by me, i hate doing the dishes," i told him. We began cleaning up. While natsu did the dishes i put all of the food away and wiped off the counters. Once i was done i turned to notice that natsu had just finished the dishes and the cookies were done. I took the pan out and told natsu, "you have to let them cool a bit," i told him. Natsu pouted, "but theyre always better warm," he said. I giggled, "yeah, not hot. Right now they will burn your mouth." I told him. "Okay then how about you entertain me?" he said with a smirk as he came closer to me. "L-like how?" I asked. This made his playful smirk into a devious one. "Dance for me~" he said as he put his hand on the back of my neck. He began inching closer about to kiss me but then he abruptly pulled away. "What is this?" He asked moving my hair away from my neck. "What is what?" I asked. He looked up at me seriously, "this scratch. Did you get this last night?" He asked. I brought my hand up and felt the scratch. "And how did i not notice these?!" He said as he grabbed my hands and started inspecting my wirsts. "Y-yeah theyre from last night. But its fine, really. I dont even feel it," i told him. He grabbed my by the shoulders and looked me right in the eyes. He looked angry for a second and for some reason i thought he was going to yell at me but instead he quickly hugged me. He burried his face in my chest and i could feel his breath as he spoke, "its not fine, ever. I cant believe i let you get hurt like this," he said. I hugged him back as i spoke, "its okay natsu, really. Besides, you and ethan were there to help me. Plus, your dad is helping me press charges on him so dont feel bad." I said. "I heard about that, can i testify against that bastard?" Natsu asked, now standing straight up. "Well igneel said he would need your testimony, so yeah." I explained. "Im so sorry ever," he finally said. "Please dont be." I said sadly. "You can have a cookie now," i told him. He jumped up and down happily before taking a few cookies. "Lets go watch some tv-" he said as he walked into the living room. I followed behind him and we sat down on the couch. "Oh by the way, i have to go somewhere at 5," i told him. He looked at me quizically, "dinner with a friend," i explained. He nodded, "youre not cheating on me, are you?" He said sarcastically. "Of course not! Its just erza," i said. This made him really pay attention, "why erza? I mean shes alright when shes not yelling but...i just dont see why," he said. "Well i just- we havent been able to really spend any alone time together. I figured we could really bond," i told him, not wanting to get into the details. "Okay whatever but next saturday my brother is coming home and bringing his wife, do you want to meet him?" He asked. I shook my head rapidly, "of course i want to meet your brother! I can only imagine what hell be like! Tell me about him!" I demanded. "Well uh- hes my half brother even though he has the same last name, his father passed away after he was born and right before our mother got with my dad," he explained. "Okayy, go on," i said interested. "His name is zeref, and hes 25," natsu finished. "What does he do for a living? What does he look like? Does he have kids?" I asked quickly. "He teaches micro biology at the university. Hes about my height with black hair. He doesnt have any children but he is married." Natsu said. I nodded my head, "whats his wife like?" I asked. Natsu laughed, "actually its funny you ask. The woman he married is the same woman who started fairy tail high and university," natsu said. This shocked me, "really? How old is she?" I asked. Natsu laughed, "shes not that old, fairytail has only been a school for about five years," he explained. I was surprised, "huh i never knew that. I always thought it was older," i said. "Well mavis isnt much older then him. She is only 28" he said. I nodded my head, "okay, i see," i said. "Although she looks like a little girl!" Natsu laughed. I smacked his arm playfully, "no thats not even a joke, she really looks like a little girl," he said. "Well just see...". Me and natsu watched a whole season of orange is the new black together. The lesbian sex scenes were a bit awkward but we pulled through. Once we had finished a season i noticed the time, "its 445! I should go home," i said. "Okay ill drive you," natsu said as he stood. "Thanks babe," i said. We put on our shoes and he grabbed the keys before we headed out the door. On the drive there i had the radio and the news was on. Nothing interesting really happened in this area so there was nothing new. As we pulled up to the house i noticed ethans car was already in the dirveway, "youre going to be fine, right?" Natsu asked as i opened the door. "Dont worry baby," i said as i gave him a peck on the lips. "Besides ethan is home so im not alone," i said getging out of the car. "Okay ever, if you need anything just call me," he told me. I nodded, "i will natsu. Goodbye, ill see you tommorow," i told him. He nodded happily before pulling out or the driveway and driving away.
